What up with X-23 and Hellion?

In X-23 #19, they both got away from The collector mad schemes, but she told Hellion she does not like him that way anymore.

Is she letting him go, because she cares for him? or is Marvel trying to make her single again? 😮

I know X23 is joining Avengers Academy. Sounds like typical Soap Opera shenanigans.
