Well, having had a teasers last year, you can now have the near-release trailer! For games that will clearly now be in 2012, of course. As noted in the RP discussion thread, I am now building up a reserve of storyline for you guys- not lots and lots, but enough that I don't have to play at the 'maximum extension' I mentioned last year in this thread. Of course, improving the pace of the game is a two-ways process with the players...

As ever with these trailers, should characters within end up not doing what was depicted, it's because they used a different take for the final edit of the film.

Peach
Oh dear god.

We're so ****ed laughing out loud

Also, Rianna swearing about something? Proof of how bad it must be stick out tongue

Ushgarak
I agree you are screwed- where are you going to get two million credits from? It's so mean of the GM.

Peach
Well, we've stolen stuff before...

Ushgarak
Hey, you have a recently renovated property on Epireus you can sell!

Peach
The place has new skylights! People love skylights.

General Zink
Rand does not like skylights. Especially not in his base.

Peach
I don't know if there's really much of a choice at this point stick out tongue

Also, never mind the Epirean bodies, they're part of the decor.

Ushgarak
Both stories this time have mysteries at their heart. Of course, most RP games beyond a straight dungeon crawl have some element of mystery but very specifically here both sides are given, early on, an unanswered question that they are very keen to answer.

Also significant, the puzzle will not yet be complete by the end of the episode. These episodes are a bit shorter than the ones just done; they will end when you arrive at the final stage of the mystery where you know you will get the answer; the next episode will be about the ensuing struggle to get the darn answer.

A lot of new elements will be added to the central plotline in this story. It's an absolute campaign-centric game for both sides.

General Zink
Gah. I need to consider whether or not I'm going to push for Rand being a Gambling expert or if I should purchase another Blade Schtick.

Bespin Bart
Droids, the Nexu's Grin getting shot at, explosions, mysteries... sounds like Xeth's sort of thing.

Tptmanno1
Yea, looks good.
Except the part where we all die.

Craft
These previews are like a concentrated burst of pure awesome. I love 'em.

So many questions so few answers.

Peach
So I'm guessing the attack on Epireus takes place after our casino shenanigans...

Newjak
Dang blaster fire its time for Reflection stick out tongue

And Xavier always thought the base needed better airways it was too stuffy in there

Jazzman_78
Awesome! At the end of our teaser, I'm picturing the Dark Siders facing off against us. Oh yeah!

Oh, and Merry Christmas to all!

Ushgarak
They would not all be strangers.

Tptmanno1
Yea, I at least would recognize Galder.

Ushgarak
Also they wouldn't be asking you what you want, they'd be saying "Oh crap, now it's the bloody Jedi as well!!!!"

b1plusb2
At least I'll be fresh out of the shower when I get blown up.

Mithlond
Cool beans! I hope Iffa was battling droids....

Alkaselzer
Darth Kazan?

Lord Melkor
The first part of our preview narration appears to be Adelmo and the second part us - "our enemies will suffer - first Bureau, then Lanzar", right?

Will there be any chance to amend things with Adelmo?

Ushgarak
Both sides have a different narrator but the narrator is consistent within each trailer.

Kazan is identifiable!

REXXXX
I was trying to remember why it sounded familiar... now I know!

Ushgarak
I think the next episode has the single longest stretch of "The Dark Siders have to run away" that we've ever seen, which is quite a feat even for them as they are used to it.

As for the episode after that... there's a new and exceptionally deadly villain coming for both sides! Yay! You need more of them!

Ushgarak
Also, best quote so far from offline episode VII

"Well you have to understand my position. For example, last year we heard news that the Emperor of the Treganna Void was claiming he had captured Larios Kuylen. Then some months later we heard that some ex-followers of Kuylen had killed him for it, along with most of his court, by which I mean the building as well as the people. You have a reputation for being... touchy."

Peach
I like it big grin

Ushgarak
One of the Dark Siders (Poletski's player in the Mage game, incidentally) then tried to explain it wasn't like that- it wasn't because of his claims; they'd killed the Emperor because it was unacceptable that anyone could think they had genuinely captured the Darkies.

Which oddly enough didn't actually change the conclusion of the person speaking above.

REXXXX
I had a feeling it wouldn't. What does Poletski play?

Ushgarak
A gun-nutty Marauder.

I kinda like his reasoning, myself.

Probably because it kind of matches ours.

Ushgarak
He then got into an argument about the wisdom of carrying a gun. He chose the wrong man and time to argue with as he lost an arm shortly after, though that did at least give us another awesome quote of "Oi! That hurt!"

General Zink
Uh oh, the opportunity to lose an arm is coming up.

Ushgarak
Oh hell yeah.

b1plusb2
For both sides it appears.

Ush was giving me the play by play of this!

It went something like this:
"The darkies just entered an unwinnable fight"

"Oh, now their buggered."

"And someone just lost an arm."

It was great.

Ushgarak
I think the location is the single most dangerous place seen yet.

REXXXX
Is that just in the Star Wars game or in any game ever?

Ushgarak
Hah! I'll just go with Star Wars for now.

REXXXX
What could be more dangerous than Lanzar?

Ushgarak
Well in context you came there with a huge army.

But even without context... you'd rather be on Lanzar than this place.

Newjak
Ooooook, I vote we spend the rest of our money on a really big ship so we can blast this place from orbit stick out tongue

Peach
Good lord.

Guys, let's really hope we don't screw up in Episode VII anywhere near as badly as the offline Darkies did laughing out loud

Lord Melkor
Are the people Jedi are meeting in their preview Osokans?

Lord Melkor
Ush, would you mind a little spoiler?

Will the next episode involve us being in combat without sabres?

Ushgarak
Definitely not saying that!

Newjak
Nice try Melkore stick out tongue

Digi
Will it involve...um...nudity? Ya know, for my experience points.

no expression

I think Leia in bikini is as far as the rating permits.

Ushgarak
Star Wars, not Torchwood, I am afraid...

I had to laugh re-reading this, as we managed exactly the same thing, which could be interpreted in the exact same way, and for bonus points our reasoning was exactly the same as the explanation given afterward.
