All we have to go on is hype and powerscaling.

Morrigan is an unknown in VS debates. At her weakest she's at or slightly above Pyron, depending on if Demitri actually had a hard time taking Pyron down. At her weakest, she's a rival to Demetri. At her strongest, she's stated to be nigh-omnipotent, second only to Belial.

IIRC, Jedah made light of news that Morrigan would be the successor to the throne until he saw her for the 1st time. Even as a little girl, he became weary of her power. But besides all that, unless we use A>B>C logic, there's no way to gauge her power.

This should be clear. He didn't break into Belial's pocket dimension and give Lilith a new body for nothin. He wanted Morrigan at full power, however, he either had another step in his plan, or he vastly overestimated his own power.

Even at full power, he wouldn't stand a chance. Keep in mind, Belial is almost omniscient, so he wouldn't make Morri the successor if he knew she couldn't defend herself against Jedah.

Indeed, and that is what we call PIS and WIS. Cuz let's face it, there wouldn't be much of a plot if he had lived. Wouldn't be much of anything gettin passed'im since, not only was he the most powerful, he was omnipresent. Leik, yur stated to be able to kill several hundred A Classers in 1 swing, yet you use a special to defeat Mitri?

They just needed'im outta the story and they wrote up a a silly event to do it

Mainly when writers forget their own established shit when movin forward and have to correct or explain the lapse in logic on the fly.

Belial was stated to have died in no detail, and writers had no intention of explainin it cuz Capcom did not think Darkstalkers: Night Warriors would sell well. But it did, so they had to write in how such a powerful character would die, to continue the plot of later games.
