Hi guys I'm new here. I can be a character once you get to know me and I'm a bit of a movie buff... what's a good movie to watch before I go to bed?

siriuswriter
An old one, in my opinion. Any genre will do, except maybe War or Horror. Like The Wizard of Oz or Singin' In the Rain. Something you've seen before, so it doesn't really matter if you doze off during the middle of it. I recommend screwball comedies, their endings make me fee all warm and fuzzy inside, a perfect "ready to sleep" feeling.

Mairuzu
Nightmare on elm street

Patient_Leech
Antichrist with Willem Dafoe.

Only joshin'... don't watch it under any circumstances, unless you want to be permanently scarred... crazy

ADarksideJedi
Watch whatever is on tv if you have the cable with the movies channels. That is what I do. If you miss any parts of it. It will be on again.

inimalist
porn?

the ninjak
Immortals. Max Payne. You'll doze off so fast.

Actually, in all seriousness: old black-n-white movies sometimes have a soporific effect on me. Even ones that I really like, like old Hitchcock films (Psycho, Notorious, etc), and even the great Stanley Kubrick (Paths of Glory, Dr. Strangelove), etc. Oh, Stanley Kubrick's Lolita is pretty boring. I actually don't like that one very much... heh. it would probably put me to sleep.

Deja~vu
Try Wuthering Heights. Long long movie.

§P0oONY
Lost In Translation - Low Tempo, charming film

AsbestosFlaygon
Gone with the Wind or Ben Hur

rudester

I was on youtube and some how ended up watching the wiz, in black...never knew this movie was ever made. The I watched part 2, return to 0z and ended up watching some midgets on youtube talk about being in the movie, it was all to weird.

Same with me, I love, "Seven Days in May", which is prob one of the best films you will ever see. Watch it tell me what you think.

I live alone thats the price you pay for not having cable. (sucks)

I actually spent the day with my mom. We went to go buy food, she helped me pick out some meats and stuff. I went into this pricey grocery store where everything is double then normal price, I've been there before so it was ok by my standards and my mom comes from out of no where (when im in line waiting to go next) and she starts telling me your shopping in here! It's so expensive, you have just 3 items and it cost how much..Anyways it reminded me why I live alone. lol

You guys want to watch a good movie. I just watched this yesterday actually, it was the movie I ended up choosing which I thought was not bad. It's called PLEASE GIVE!

Thunder Fox

Are you talking about a movie that will put you to sleep? A war movie would be the best for that I think. I would think other genres would amp you up, like action or comedy. I don't really care for romance movies so I'm not sure about those.

ADarksideJedi
I just thought that you should put on one of those history channels they make me want to fall asleep.

Deja~vu
You can always watch re-runs of Barney over and over again until you go insane.

rudester
cute. My friend likes barney because some how (he) always brings him up in a conversation. Remember that rain song, eh eh eh eh with your mouth open wide...lol

Lemme see, lemme see...

You like black and whites? Okay, I can definitely work with that. big grin

Anything with Irene Dunne. You know she's always going to have a fabulous wardrobe along with that lovely fantasy life.

Or the old "Sabrina," with Audrey Hepburn. The new "Sabrina" will make you sleep.

And I've totally been there with the Wizard of Oz stuff. That's what I call Too Much Internet Linking.

But yeah, they like point out where they were, and there's one that was the leader of the Lollipop Guild. Apparently I have TMIL too...

Cary Grant's stuff. "Mr. Blanding's Builds His Dream House." "His Girl Friday," with Roz Russell. Him in Hitchcock, not North by Northwest, but Suspicion and Notorious with more subtle storylines. Damn, there's one with him and Irene Dunne, I think it's called "My Favorite Wife" YES! it is. That is a definite.

Avoid Doris Day, singing "Que Sera Sera" or not.

Bette Davis in "On, Voyager," features the one eighty makeover with gorgeous clothes on gorgeous bette.

The Women, but make sure it's the one with Norma Shearer, there are three versions of that movie and this is the second. No men in cast, just stars and starlets being beautiful. I don't remember if it's in black and white - I think it is, but it's just pulsing with red as rose lipsticks that it has a sense of seeming like it's in color. Also included - full color fashion show, absolutely gorgeous stuff. You can tell they were just experimenting with having colors with technicolor - there are those shades that may have looked good in black and white, but look like brightened puke green in color because the material is brightened puke green.

I just watched monsters inc. Some movie with kate winslit as a lawyer and dare devil and I'm having trouble sleeping? Do any of u have trouble sleeping?

rotiart
Disney or pixar movies.
I enjoy them because they are good movies.
Since I've seen them all i don't feel like I'm missin anything of I fall asleep
Good heartwarming movies in a warm environment means pleasant dreams

On a side note if your body is too cold apparently nightmares occur from your subconscious trying to warn you you've gotten too cold. So avoid drafts etc

I remember the first movie that kept me awake most of the night was "Jaws". I had the very uneasy feeling that my bed was a boat.

Shinkicker
Always some classic Woody Allen
