i thought ulik was given some sort of upgrade recently..... i'm don't know the new one very well, but i think namor could score wins over the classic version. maybe a split, or at least close to a split imo.

he has a hammer and is fighting thor

Ulik gives Thor hell in turns punks his fellow Avenger Namor, more than once. I give Ulik the vast majority!!

You mean Thor was written down to Thing level just to match Ulik.
Ulik outside Thor is slightly above Thing level.

Namor hydrated should be a whole level above him.

Think 300,000 tons vs. 1000 tons.

Namor has a good track record against guys like Ulik. I think it would be a very decent fight, but I see Namor pulling out the win.

When is Ulik Thing level outside of Thor. Examples

They used to have Namor kicking much more a$$ than he does in recent times.
His fights with the Hulk were awesome.

As a matter of fact, he is very similar to Ulik on his ability to dish out crap to higher level opponents, while not having any exotic powers or weapons.
These are both excellent bare-knuckle characters.

That was a written down Thor. More recently from those fights we have Thor one shot Ulik. Classic Thor in many battles was written down. Just look at his history (totally inconsistent).

I don't think Ulik can take Savage Hulk much better than Thing or Colossus (all would lose a majority though). Ulik is a little better than Thing and Colossus. Namor from his history is much better than Thing or Colossus.

This guy has probably fought Thor more than any other character in the MU and Thor does NOT hold back when battling Ulik.

That is a lot of long, drawn-out battles with one of the baddest guys in the multiverse.

Ulik fought Thor in two long drawn out battles (not lots). Other battles were lopsided in Thor's favor. Doesn't matter anyway since Thor was written down to Ulik in their fights.

Thor wasn't one of the baddest guys in the multiverse when he fought Mongoose, got hurt by bullets, got froze by ice, etc. Classic Thor was as inconsistent as they come.
