Disney are going to remake the legendary 80's TV show Tripods. A creepy show of alien invader machines that forced the human race into slavery via triangular control devices on their foreheads. A brave team of kids had to fight back. Australian director Gregor Jordan is to helm the project.

I never saw the show but I did read the four books. Reeeaal creepy books. I enjoyed them all immensely, though. They were kind of sad, from what I remember.

Really. And now they might get it right! I can't keep in mind any of information why now but as a kid I esteemed Bob Christopher's Tripod trilogy. They were excellent interesting guides, especially the center amount which I keep in mind examining several periods. But then the tv sequence came out and so I provided it a try, but somehow it just didn't experience right and didn't come near to related the pleasure of the guides. I think the domed places and the improved severity in the places and the post-apocalyptic geography and the big pie experts were all a bit too strenuous for the bbc budget!

Wasn't aware of Tripods, but looks like it was a rip off of War of the Worlds.

Seeing how Disney treated John Carter.... I get a negative vibe from this...
