While the consensus is rightly with Alan, it would be a more interesting fight with him removed. A case could be made for any of the remaining GLs with Alan removed. I'd probably grudgingly side with Hal, who would likely emerge as the default #2, but I think a very good case could be made for Kyle.

I could have sworn I actually posted some of the fights in his respect thread, but my photobucket account got deleted, forcing me to make a new one.

EDIT: Looks like I uploaded a lot of stuff BUT their fights, but I can recall said fight if not the issue number. Basically, Sinestro amped himself up and fought both Alan and Hal at the same time, forcing the two of them to work together to beat him.

No problem. I'm sure I've read the issues at some point, just can't remember.

I want to say in that same issue, Sinestro actually made a "Sinestro Corps" as well, basically a bunch of clones of himself armed with rings, which in hindsight, is kinda funny considering how Johns' revamped Sinestro created his own corps.
