Bane, 1997, easily. Bane in TDKR is much much weaker.

Hardy Bane wins.. judging by trailer # 3, Hardy Bane looks agile and can fight, unlike Jeep Swenson Steroid Bane who just growled and howled and was easily taken out by NCIS:LA Robin and miscasted Batgirl

440 lbs is not 'human sized'. He was super-humanly sized because he was enhanced with artificial drugs.

Additionally, Bane in the 97 Batman has significant superhuman strength.

What yall talking about Bats&Rob Bane was freaking strong.

BUT, Nolan Bane could take quite a few wins by ripping out the tubes, cause I assume he is smart/skilled enough to do so.

The new Bane very well may figure that out. No idea how juicy his brains are, yet.


I do know that the 97 Bane could not really be hurt: he was hit with chains n'shit and it didn't phase him.

It's basically been stated he's a genius and a tactical mind on par with or above Bruce. When he sees those tubes flowing with green and other Bane getting bigger, he's going after them.

That's HardyBane's only hope, he'd get ripped to shreds otherwise.

B&RBane was a tard. He'll lose to anyone remotely tactical.

You mean those little glowy plastic chains by those halloween guys that were worshiping the devil or something as Bane came busting in?

Clearly they were irradiated chains, so Bane-97 can withstand radiation.

They looked like one of those plastic glow-in-the-dark ones, but it's been forever since I've seen the movie for obvious reasons, so I guess I'll take your word for it.

They made metal clanky sounds so the director obviously intended them to be metal. They obviously cannot hit an actor with real chains in the real world: that'd be stupid. haermm

They could've at least made them look like they were real chains better than they did, but I guess the movie's horrible effects (on multiple occasions) were to blame.

Yeah, seems like Schumacher Bane has the most advantage for now. Hardy Bane might end up having a few decent strength feats or so, but doubt it'll be enough to take down 97-Bane, in sheer strength anyway. Though as mentioned, he might show himself smart enough to suggest that he would go after and with any luck, tear out those little venom tubes.

No, Robin and Batgirl kicked the big tube out of the back of Bane's head while he was choking them against a wall (surprised it took them that long in the movie to figure out his weakness). Could see Hardy Bane perhaps replicating that feat if anything, even if he's being choked.

Steroid Bane basically had no feats except for a couple.. for all his strength it was not enough to stop NCIS:LA Robin and miscast Batgirl from knocking out his tubes that gave him the Venom

If he is just 5'10 then 240 would be good and in the books Bane is ripped as hell so seing a guy who play him and weighs about 200-205 is not that good.
The close up shot was ok when he was shirtless but when he was wearing the vest you could clearly see he was barely bigger then Baleman and his arms are pretty thin.

Bobby Lashley, former WWE performer and current MMA fighter (I think? Dunno if he is still doing that) weighs that much, and is 6'2", and looks like this:

I didn't expect him to put on that much muscle cause that would ne impossible in such a short time even with roids....
Just thought that someone with a "better" phisique made a better Bane....act was great though...

Bale did something similar in just five months. After he dropped down to 122 for The Machinist, he went up to 225-230 for Batman, then dropped to around 195-200 after Nolan told him he was too buff/bulky for Batman.

Bale's known for being overly committed in his roles though.
