http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=37694 Okkay. I noticed that for a while marvel has almost done nothing but cater to the casual reader market. All their events feel like what if scenarios where noone acts in character and the whole purpose is to gain interest from the readers who only want to read a comic because they just saw the avengers, or x-men etc. First Frank was a zombie and now hes in space. I guess he gets hit with a gamma bomb next and becomes the Hulkunisher.

Anyone who doesn't think this sounds awesome has no soul, this is obviously the pinnacle of human literature. I imagine that once this story is finished, having perfected comics our specious will simply move on to a previously unimaginable higher form of art and allow Dolphins their chance to control the comic industry.

I quite like Mark Texeira as an artist, Great work on the Ghost Rider book from the 90's.
Galan007
I just read the first issue. It was.... Everything I expected.
Literary gold.

Texeira's full painted art looks great, but all in the service of one of the most dumb & illogical ideas this decade. What - they thought Punisher killing in the service of heaven's angels during the 90's wasn't moronic enough?

What book was that? Heard about it before, sounds like a super-fail.

They kept it going with a miniseries starring Wolverine, too.
When Garth Ennis came on board, he blew all that crap out the door, thankfully.
(For supernatural elements, I thought Frankencastle was OK by comparison.)

What else is there to say?
Galan007
I have to say that I am actually liking this for what it is. The painted artwork goes a long way with me. Very nostalgic.
Cogito
Just read issues #1 & 2....
Speechless.
Galan007
^ I agree. It's THAT good.

This is the best arc easily so far that Marvel's made in years.
There need to be more completely cheese, completely restraint free arcs like this.

It's corny. We know it. They know it. But in a strange way, it works (imo.) Like I said, it's fun for what it is. What's funny is that it's pretty much the only Marvel comic(s) I've actually enjoyed in the past several months.

Hulk and Wolverine suck... No matter how many stories they're involved in... Just horrible. Punisher, on the other hand, kicks ass AND takes names... And in this story he's doing it in SPACE. Does it get any better?
When the original Marvel Zombies was first released, people shunned the idea of heroes becoming flesh eating Zombies-- but nowadays it's a cult classic. Same will happen with Space Punisher. Check me.

This series couldn't get any better... Space Punisher with the UN?
Well done, Marvel. Well done.
