I was amazed by Answer in Very old Thread about transexuals and Gays

It said that if a Man Dates a Trans Man is Gay that's right

and if he dates a trans woman is Gay (knowing she was a Man)

but the Problem is that

in the First case he neglected that he was a woman and sticked to the meanwhile state

but in second he sticked that she was a Man and neglected the meanwhile State

isn't it contrary with self

I hope any one could Explain this to me

I don't know. if you earnestly go into the relationship thinking that the other person is the opposite sex, then no you are not gay. I have seen some Thai guys, that after surgery, I swear I couldn't tell the difference. However, once it is realized that they aren't of the opposite sex, if you still proceed with said relationship, that is homosexual I would think.

When I was in Thailand with my girlfriend we came across a transsexual waitress at a restaurant who explained that homosexual men aren't turned on by a transsexual's feminine features.

But I don't know. Biologically speaking it's still a man, implants and a few hormone shots won't change that.

So you are saying that someone who looks like Scarlett johansson (I don't know what's hot for you, but she is gorgeous to me) or whatever woman you find attractive, will not be attractive to you at first glance? I mean without prior knowledge of their gender. I highly doubt it.

If I'd find a transvestite attractive then I'd find her attractive. Obviously. But a masculine voice, an abundance of make-up, and a penis don't arouse me sexually. It's just not doing it for me.

i don't think it's gay necessarily; I think it's possible to have a fetish for trannies without actually desiring men. And if it's a post-op then there's really nothing male about it except for the psychological aspect.

I have an idea. Why not allow the man who's attracted to transvestites determine his own sexual orientation?

Then the person should be considered homosexual -- alternatively bisexual -- as there's no definite point in the transition process when a man becomes a transvestite which you could unambiguously determine that it's not homosexual to have sex with it anymore. I don't think it's necessary to fit the vast variations in human sexuality into a rigid structure of definitions.

I've heard a lot of credence given to the theory that the main physiological difference that defines who people are attracted to is how they react to and perceive pheromones. If that's true and the difference between straight/gay/bi is all in the nose, then it would be very difficult for a hetero or homo sexual person to be attracted beyond the superficial to someone who's had sex reassignment despite being anatomically male or female. maybe hormone therapy makes transsexuals produce opposite gender chemicals in their sweat?
