Hollywood apparently an amped up Wonder Man vs Red Hulk first appearance.

Yep and in a stomp.

Hollywood's cooler.

Loeb-Force Rulk wins, though.

Brother, you've lost your mind.

Horrificus
Who would you guys decide are the 2 most powerful characters Red Giant has beaten?

Colossus-Big C
The watchers

Horrificus
And, are we strictly talking about the Hollywood version of WM, or WM in general?

KingD19
Hollywood, the Wonderman from the alternate universe. The one who took a multiple universe ending bomb to the face with no problems.

His teams fought guys like Korvac and Dormammu.

^^^ shhh... lol

Jk. I just don't feel like getting into this too much because my boys zop and stoic are so stubborn that they'd argue with you about the color of the sky, but yeah. Dude one shotted a dumb drax level guy. None of the peeps Rulk took on in his initial appearances are strong enough to one shot that level of strength.

That said, Rulk's energy siphoning abilities may have proven too much even for Hollywood since he's composed of energy or whatever wonder man is.

KingD19
I don't think Hollywood was Ionic Form. But since he uses it, I suppose Rulk could drain him.

Horrificus
No matter what, Rulk's siphoning should work on Wonder Man. Unless somebody can show something where that kind of move did not work on Simon.

But, regardless of what anybody says, non-jobbing Simon is a freaking monster with highest-level durability and strength.

He was created to be a non-flying version of Superman. And, before it was fashionable for every writer to start upping the strength and power of every character they worked on, Simon was at the top of the pyramid with plenty of feats.

Hollywood, in those stories, consistently went up against Universe-Class villains and handed out plenty of Ionic "Badassery".

guy222
rulk easily

I like Thunderbolt a lot. I don't like what has been happening to him though.

IMO, a character like him, a seasoned military master, with the original profile of Red Hulk should easily be one of the highest threats in the Marvel universe.

Unfortunately, none of the writers there have any idea how to write utilizing military technique, tactis, strategy, etc. So this huge part of the character's profile gets completely ignored.

It is very sad and silly.

Hell, if you took the average Seal and only threw him in the body of, say, Luke Cage, you would have a character capable of defeating most of the top bricks in comics.

Loeb almost had him right. Were it not for introducing him by basically taking a dump on established characters and thus pissing off legions of fanboys, I think he could've done something special with the character. But yeah, originally he was close to what you're describing. Now they're on this extended mea culpa with him having him get his ass kicked every week. His book isn't all that bad though.

Wait, what? confused

The only time I'm aware of that he took a big explosion was against that Stark alien. The alien self destructed his armor and it caused an explosion that rocked the solar system and Hollywood walked away from it unharmed.

Impressive but hardly multiple universe busting level.

Rulk on the other hand one shot KOed a Watcher. Killed one of the (if not THE) most powerful Elders of the universe and it took Galactus to stop his rampage.

Loeb Rulk can't lose.

Flyattractor
Why does Thunderbolt's big porno-stache dissappear when he becomes Rulk?
