Martian Manhunter is far more experienced and Mon-El supposedly isn't quite as strong as Superman. I'm not sure why it's been universally decided Mon wins.

Manhunter is not in the El familys weight class durability wise

Mon straight up destroyed J'onn before that though.

Knocked him away. We don't know if he knocked him out.

Mon certainly looked more impressive there. He was also a lot more motivated, thinking Shadow Lass was dead, amd knew exactly who MM was and how powerful he was, while J'onn didn't know much of anything, so likely the obligatory "feeling out" process.

I mean, you don't think Superman would go balls out against a crazy total stranger who suddenly appears in front of him, do you? Even if he says "That kid is dead!"

Mon one punched J'onn. That's how it went.

Not denying that he did.

Put it this way: Konvict one shot Superman.

Doesn't mean much there. So why should it mean much here?

Superman gave konvikt a free shot and was immediately on his feet. Mon oneshotted J'onn who returned after quite a while.
