Really? Mine wasn't in any order, btw - too difficult. But you'd put McCoy over Brainiac 5, Nemesis over Majestic and Batman over Will?

Btw, I realise I missed a few out, but I only used MArvel/DC, and tried to keep it 50/50.

Brainiac is a robot so I disqualified him, majestic like superman is an alien from an advanced race so its kinda hard to say how smart they are

I admit I forgot will is put him at 7 and bump everyone else down a peg

As for Majestic, even for a Kherubim, he's very smart, and not in the way Superman is smart. He can research and build tech Reed would love to get, rewrite Kryptonian programming in seconds etc.

You think stark is smarter then pym?

I just said it's not in any real order. Professor Q can enhance her intelligence through by linking computers, but even without that, she's insanely smart.

I forgot the Chief from Doom Patrol. If you count him as a hero. He's smarter than Will Magnus, IMO. Probably on the level of a Hank Pym by feats.

McCoy has been written at pretty zany Silver Age-esq absurd levels of intelligence in Wolverine and the X-Men recently.

He would be my #1, since he has some of the most insane scientific feat, but he's not a hero. He did turn hero at the end, but he's not a mainstream hero.

Anyway, this is how I see it (Pre-Flashpoint). Purely scientific.

1. Alexander Luthor Jr. (Brought back and manipulated the DC Multiverse).
2. TO Morrow (Created tesseract when he was a mere child).
3. The Chief (Responsible for the Candlemaker breaking the 4th wall)
4. Ray Palmer (Solved a problem the 1M heroes could not and built a machine to pluck anyone out of the time stream to defeat Superman)
5. Lex Luthor (Created a time machine when he was a child)
6. Will Magnus (Created the AI soul)
7. Professor Ivo (Creator of Amazo. Nuff said)
8. Prometheus (Built a suit designed to take out every meta on DC earth)
9. Dr. Sivana (Created OMAC Prime.)
10. Mr. Terrific (Took down a bunch of Black Lanterns with on the fly prep).

Essex is only seen intelligent because of brute force tactics, McCoy is the worlds leading genetic scientist, with masters in chemistry, biology, and I believe advanced robotics and Mathematics

Martian Manhunter could go in that list around 8 or 9.

MM is pretty smart even though he's shown getting jumped on occasion lol.

Eh last I checked they still aren't a real power, more of a skill of doing instantaneous calculations and being able to look at things on a mathematic level. Just normal super genuis stuff only applied to on the fly escapes and combat instead of inventions to make him a little more unique.

He created a self aware AI

He has grown beyond reality before

He was named scientist supreme

Was referenced by Stark as being, along with Richards as the smartest man on the planet

Was referenced by Richards as the most brilliant mind on earth

He punked Cho, when cho asked about Pym's placement on the smartest men on the planet

infinite mansion is a decent feat.

Ultron is more a cock-up that developed beyond his understanding, as far as I'm aware... sort of like Jarvis going on a self improvement course.

titles and references are dubious criteria for such listings, heroes pay effusive compliments to each other.

"punked Cho" what happened exactly, I can't recall the showing, although I know everyone on the list of the smartest was captured by the Intelligencia (and it was Banner and Doom who pulled them out).

Avengers was a response to Hulk, atleast that's the original "origin".

The growing in size thing ... wasn't exactly sure what went down there, seemed to just expand his (and absorbing man's) particles until they spanned the solar system or something, which I'd say is still not enough to challenge HE or Thanos.

All he did was basically tell Cho he was smarter, not really what I'd call a feat. Even though he is smarter.

I think Cho is definitely smarter than Batman.

It's arguable that Wayne doesn't belong in the top twenty, let alone top ten if you're counting both Marvel and DC.

I was just counting DC, guys! And Batman wouldn't even be in the top 20 for DC! That's if you're including Earth AND Space.
