Each year, Islamic and Arab nation well

And Muslims all over the world to the health and happiness

Eid-Al-Fitr is one of the major holidays of Islam. It comes at the end of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrates the end of the fasting. The holiday comes on the first day of the 10th month in the Islamic lunar calendar.

Because the month of Ramadan is all about fasting, Eid-Al-Fitr is all about NOT fasting. During Ramadan, Muslims have not eaten while the Sun is in the sky. On Eid-Al-Fitr, they celebrate the end of Ramadan with a sweet snack and then get ready for a day of celebration.

On this day, Muslims are encouraged to dress in their best clothes and attend a special Eid prayer at their neighborhood mosque. Before the prayer begins, Muslims make an alms payment (the Zakat al Fitr) Corner of the five pillars of Islam
Such as prayer and fasting
Take money from the rich and the poor are given
Thereby achieving social solidarity in Islam

for the month of Ramadan, in the form of food or its cash equivalent. This food and / or money is then distributed to the poor. After the special religious service, the focus turns to gift-giving. Children are given many gifts. Women get gifts from their loved ones. Also on this day, people are encouraged to settle feuds or disputes, especially those between family members.

Eid Al-Fitr means "Feast of Fast-Breaking." It is often celebrated during three days, with the first day marking the end of Ramadan.

Eid is celebration. Fitr comes from the word fitrah, meaning natural.

Yes, Ramadhan will end shortly, at 7.15 pm and we muslims will celebrate EidulFitri. But using the word 'celebration' gives a wrong idea to non-muslims. It's not partying. We are celebrating with praises of God. And we can eat as usual once more, coming back to the natural way of things. Hence, the name Fitrah.

Enjoy your holidays people

Eid Mubarak, ennin.

If I were Allah, I would make some changes to Ramadan. Instead of having Muslims everywhere starving themselves all day and dehydrating, while not being able to work or even be sociable because they're pissed because they're always hungry and thirsty, I'd make Ramadan a month where Muslims everywhere have to do at least one great deed a day.

So if you're a doctor, during the month of Ramadan, you see and visit poor and homeless patients and families for free. If you're a lawyer, you offer your services pro bono to poor people. If you're super rich, you go buy someone you don't know a lunch or give money and clothes to a poor family you know. If you don't know any poor people, go find some on the street.
If you don't have money or a good job, you have to go volunteer in a soup kitchen.
At least one good deed a day - more deeds, more reward in heaven.

Clearly, I'm a better planner than Allah. SubhanMe.

111. And when I (Allah) put in the hearts of Al-Hawarieen (the disciples) to believe in Me and My Messenger, they said: "We believe. And bear witness that we are Muslims."
Surah Al-Ma'idah

78. And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), that the Messenger (Muhammad ) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses over mankind! So perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), give Zakat and hold fast to Allah He is your Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.), what an Excellent Maula (Patron, Lord, etc.) and what an Excellent Helper!

90. And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with his hosts followed them in oppression and enmity, till when drowning overtook him, he said: "I believe that La ilaha illa (Huwa): (none has the right to be worshipped but) He," in Whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am one of the Muslims (those who submit to Allah's Will)."
91. Now (you believe) while you refused to believe before and you were one of the Mufsidun (evil-doers, corrupts, etc.).

92. So this day We shall deliver your (dead) body (out from the sea) that you may be a sign to those who come after you! And verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs , revelations, etc.).

Wow.. talk about the forum's downfall... A guy can't go to a religion forum and create a thread about a religious holiday (on the day of the said holiday mind you) without other members including the so called mod trolling him. I understand why that happens when a memeber creates a number of pointless simmilar threads over and over again but creation of this thread is justified.

eninn joined this forum seemingly without any intention of discussing anything but rather using it as a soapbox for his religious views.

I think in this case talking about my cat is a justified response.

Yeah, I merged about 30 of his threads recently that were just opportunities to post text walls. He's shown little desire to interact sincerely, though he's occasionally posted scripture at lil's responses.

Frankly, if you can't contribute to discussion and are just pontificating in a condescending one-sided mess (not the first we've seen like this), it doesn't warrant the time of the rest of us. It seems like there may be some sort of language barrier, but even that isn't cause enough for us to contribute to dead-end topics that largely ignore rebuttals.

The thread may have been justified - probably why it wasn't closed - but member compliance with a topic is only required when discussion is present, and off-topic posts detract from it.

The occasion is Eid ul-Fitr which means 'festivity of breaking the fast'...

It is the celebration after the fast of the month of Ramadan... Ramadan is the month of the Quranic revelation, Muslims use this month to reconnect to the Quran and build a stronger relationship with Allah. This is achieved by fasting from food and s-exual activities with one's spouse during the daylight hours, refraining from foul and shameless language and actions, increased acts of charity to the less fortunate, reciting the word of God Etc...

We learn self restraint against our permitted human desires and hopefully would build stronger restraint against desires that are not permissible.

Basically making a stronger effort to be the best you can be and come out a better human being at the end... It is like a training course for the muslim... At the end of the course, we get our certificate and a feast.... We repeat the training course once every year..

Can't speak much for the first, but the 2nd YouTube video is pretty informative.

Strangely enough, Ramadan was very familiar to me without Eid being so, but I imagine Islam takes a different form in the Southeast Michigan communities I'm familiar with than it does worldwide.

And also if one goes to a congregational place then there is no other{sunnah} prayer before the two Rakaats of Eid prayer meaning one just sits down the congregational place and continues with the Takbeer without performing any form of sunnah prayer{Qabliyah}.But if one prays in a Mosque then one is recommended to greet the mosque with two greeting-of-the-mosque Rakaats.

Each year, Islamic and Arab nation well

And Muslims all over the world to the health and happiness

What a Ramadan this year! Always strive for kindness, compassion, justice, righteousness and Taqwa. Ramadan is over but now we have 11 months of keeping strong in these things. Ramadan is a reminder of both the beauty and supernaturally profound nature of the Holy Qur'an, and a concentrated training ground for what we seek to cultivate year round. Fasting is about so much more than simply not having food
