What I mean by Classic Gorgon is the one before joining the Dark Avengers.

Lmao. I haven't been reading Gorgon's Dark Avengers appearances. Has bendis so butchered the character that we already have to make a distinction between classic and current for a character little over a decade old smh?

"Modern" Gorgon had Iron Fist dead to rights, Daredevil had to save his ass.

Current Romulus has adamantium skeleton and claws that are a part of him. His adamantium possibly contains vibranium, too. Not sure.

What I'm saying is team 2 stomps.

Gorgon didnt have IF dead to rights, if anything they were shown to be evenly matched. That said, not the first time Bendis makes a competent villains look like an idiot. If team 2 takes it (and that's a very big IF) its gonna be a slight majority and ONLY thanks to pre-Bendis Gorgon who was a beast. Romulus gets his ass stomped by either Spider-man or Danny. He hasnt done anything other than been a huge disappointment.

He did, he tanked his attacks, caught his arm and was ready to strike... claws that were able to penetrate Skaar's hide would chop Lord Rand to little pieces.

Romulus humiliated Skaar and beat Wolverine. Sabretooth was afraid of him. All of that before upgrade.

Sabertooth was probably affraid people might mistake Romulus for him and he wouldnt be able to live with the embarrassment. Seriously, Romulus' main feats include getting his ass kicked by Logan in his very first appearance and holding his own against Skaar for like 3 pannels. His only post-upgrade feat is - not getting completly humiliated by Logan. And even that mostly due to Sabertooth's interference. And that guy's supposed to fight Spider-man? Spider-man?! I say Gorgon kills him himself just so Romulus wouldn't get in the way.

We do know actually, because he dodged Rand's IF punch, was in a position to attack and grabbed his arm which would allow him for a more accurate hit. Hell, he could've just released said arm and cut it off - that'd be even quicker. Rand was lucky that Daredevil was around, the man without fear has a portion of Bendispower.

Nerve strike wouldn't do shit, seeing as Gorgon is undead and healed a dislocated elbow(s) near-instantly...

He's done well in the first fight, better than Spiderboy could ever hope. It lasted the entire issue and Logan got knocked out in the end He defeated him in a fair fight recently, no sword tossing while Logan wasn't looking.

Skaar got disarmed, cut multiple times while Romulus dodged all of his attacks, including the AoE ground pound. Then got tossed aside like garbage. That's not 3 panels.

Oh and Romulus was holding Dagger against her will, y'know, the same Dagger whose projectiles made Parker run like a pussy.

We all know that in comics just because it seemed like Gorgon had a good opportunity it =/= had Danny dead to rights. Both were standing and both capable of fighting back. Anything could've happened in the next pannel, that's not how dead to rights situations are usually shown in comics. Wolverine sitting on top of Shang Chi ready to pop his claws. Now that's a better example.

Spider-man would beat Wolverine. Only thing that ever stopped him from doing that is his CIS. And even CIS on he did way better than Romulus ever could. And did better against Wolverine's son that Wolverine himself ever could.

With that out of the way back to Romulus.


Wolverine's CIS is the only thing that kept Romulus in the fight. It's pretty much established that Wolverine >>>>> him. The Skaar fight is an ok showing but nothing say Clint Barton couldn't do on a good day. Nothing that'd make me believe he's good enough to even be a blip on Spider-man's radar. Seriously, what's a romulus? What has he accomplished other than "manipulate" Logan into kicking his ass? Spider-man just landed a 50 ton private jet on his shoulders, he casually blitzes super teams and takes on the Phoenix Force before breakfast. In other words Aunt May's getting a nice new romulus rug in her livving room.

Team 1 gets buttraped, you could pass the pieces of what`s left of them trough a keyhole after.
