Wouldn't it be great to discover a garden that yields good things at the start, and good things every season it were tended... ?

Gardens require serious work to maintain: periodic watering, weeding, rotation of crops, overturning of soil, mineralization ...

Likely some hardy specimens are needed to seed it initially, too.

But some places, through accident, design, happenstance, and blessing, tend to support desirable growth.

In fact, if shaped JUST right, and worked and explored, eventually ...

I promised to post a chart for someone. I also need to discover if "gif" as opposed to ".jpg" attachments are acceptable to KMC's image host providing program. At only 6 KB as a gif, I figure this Sun Energy Output diagram should do the trick ...

Involve people in meaningful projects.

Meaningful projects have a healing influence on people.
However, what is meaningful to a manager may be meaningless to a subordinate. Projects take on meaning when people are involved in the planning and thinking processes.

We all need to be engaged in a good cause.
Without such projects, life loses its meaning; in fact, the lifespan is short for people who retire, looking for a tensionless state.
Life is sustained by tension between where we are and where we want to be -- some goal worth struggling for.

In the first post, "garden" is being used as metaphor and analogy.

I like those images you're posting, Bluewaterrider. Very cool.

Especially the scaling star stuff. That just blows my mind.

I didn't click any of the links...only the images uploaded to KMC. I know better than to click the spammy links of a spamming spammer.

Not so. Notice that they placed this thread in a forum where you can talk about anything you want with other people.

And what exactly should they be objecting to?

Everything in this thread is a personal favorite of mine that I'm sharing with others because it is interesting or inspiring in its own wright or something I've found that generally enhances the lives of other people.

A metaphorical hidden cove where people can refresh and renew themselves from the influx of things that are NOT like that, if you will.

THAT is the theme for this thread, and I think you'll find virtually every entry from me IN this thread bearing that out.

What's an appropriate topic in a forum dedicated to Off-Topic topics? Nothing cryptic about that puzzle.

But in this case I think it's meant to be just a bit of fun.

Thanks Bluewaterrider, looks like this time I get to be the guest! happy

Hmm.

Not just for fun, Iopy, though I certainly hope people enjoy themselves as much as possible here.

Little if anything I give is completely random; nearly the entirety of it intended for people's overall positive benefit.
