At this point, Quicksilver could be across the battlefield and KO Nitro before he even starts the process of exploding.

speed feat anyway. His punch didn't seem to pack much force.

His punch packed plenty of force. You can't hit someone going at Mach 4 and not do tons of damage.

It's just that Magneto is that damn durable. Even without his force fields he's taken some pretty serious hits and powered through them.

That feat sort of pales in comparison to some of his earlier ones though.

Like running halfway across the world in 92 seconds, and also running from one end of a continent to the other and back in around 1-3 seconds.

Magneto doesn't have superhuman durability without his sheilds (to tank that shot like nothing), really he should have had his head punched off.

Case in point....

and in the same issue QS was taken out by Dr.Nemesis who shot him over a dozen times with needles. Inconsistency.

apperently you can "not do" tons of damage since it didn't to mags.

Remember the Colossus/Magneto fight? Kurt noted that Piotr's punch would've ripped normal human's head off, but Mags was relatively fine.

Magneto took a punch from Colossus without his shields up.

I don't remember that, just the time in the Ultimate Universe. Sounds silly if you ask me.

Oh no no no don't get me wrong he does have durability, but he shouldn't have tanked a mach 4 punch like nothing is what I'm saying. It was like a regular punch for him, and was fine.

As shown a mach 3 hit made a "norm" literally explode.

I remember it in a Classic X-Men issue. The X-Men were fighting him inside his volcano base and he didn't have his shields up. Colossus in his metal form clocked him and Magneto wasn't even bloodied up.

Oh he was also sliced by Wolverine's claws and survived with just scratches on his back.



As to the thread, Nitro wins.

Notice Cyclops got a shot off, even though it missed? Nitro's "shot" would be a block busting AoE that killed off the New Warriors and it won't miss. Quicksilver dies.

Yeah, even w/o shields Erik is tough as nails. I'd imagine the latent electromagnetic energy he emits has granted him superhuman attributes without him attempting to "amp" or the like.
