He's right you know.

KC Captain marvel was not a treat to Kal. Throughout there fight, Kal was trying to reason with Billy.

Kal had been fighting far longer before Billy and him went at it. The most physical evidence Billy showed that he hurt Kal was to have his ears bleed.

Throughout all that, what happen when Kal decided to take Billy serious? With a burst of speed he clasped Billy's mouth, and if he wanted too, he could have just beat Billy into submission.

Even when a nuked dropped on him, with no protection it did nothing to hurt Kal, all it did was to piss him off.

Happy Dance ^^^^ this for the win.

Team 2. Sentry is the most dangerous here and Hulk is more than enough for any KC version.

Then what were the feats Digi keeps on talking about?

Concerning Kal or Billy?

Looking at there fight, though it was a good battle depiction wise, but bad execution wise.

Kal never struggled, Billy didn't even exhaust him, he did nothing but held back because he wanted to save Billy's life. In the end when they launched the Nuke that wipe out most of both sides, they believed it was powerful enough that it would kill Kal. It did nothing to him.

Plus this Kal also has canon feats when he manhandle main Earth Hercules, when current Superman couldn't.

Sentry survived a nuke unscathed too though. http://www.anchoredbygrace.com/smileys/nixweiss.gif

Was it designed to kill him?

This is a completely inaccurate re-telling.

About the nuke as well, the only reason there were survivors as is was because, as Wonder Woman said, Captain Marvel detonated the nuke well above where the intended Ground Zero was.

KC Superman never, ever, felt the actual blast like KC CM did. He was simply on the ground where the residual energy would have been thousands upon thousands of times less.

This. And don't forget Captain Marvel "SHAZAMED" three times, meaning he was in his mortal form when the bomb went off.

Shazam 1 : Billy form
Shazam 2 : Captain Marvel form
Shazam 3 : Billy form
Nuke goes off.

I also found it interesting that even though KC Superman had a head start racing toward the nuke, Captain Marvel caught up to him, flung him away from the nuke, and destroyed it before KC Superman could really do anything.

I found it interesting that people forget that superman was weakened there by several shazam bolts and not at his peak.

So he was weakened now?

You think he wasn't? He wasn't exactly smiling while getting hit by shazam bolts.

It was not. Was unaware that KC Supermans nuke was a special nuke. I need to reread the story.

Nukes are pretty much nothing to pre-reboot Superman, and haven't really been for a very long time. He took an atomic blast straight up, while standing in kryptonite, and contained the blast and cloud. This was while he was so weak he was nearly powerless.

So, if you consider them on a close level, an atomic weapon is nothing.
If he's even more powerful. It's less than that.

The Nuke that hit the KC crowd was designed with killing Superman in mind, and was even supposed to be unstoppable.

Keeping in mind where we left off in the arms race in 60s, it's estimated that only about 10 thousand or so 50-100 megaton bombs they were last producing would blow the planet apart and wipe out all life.

Superman and Doomsday survived the force of 1,000,000 atomic blasts point blank while battling on Apokalips.

I'm curious, where was that figure estimated?

100 megatons x 10,000 would be 1 million megatons.

The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was estimated at 100 million megatons.

Granted, 10,000 hundred megaton nukes could be spread out farther than one asteroid, but I don't believe the square milage of total destruction would even equal out to a decent sized country, let alone the planet.

The hell you bringing me up for? I barely remember talking about these guys. I referenced a single KC feat a few weeks ago. that's it.

Something I saw or read a while back, can't remember. I suppose I could have researched more, but the point is more about Superman surviving the force 1,000,000 atomic blasts detonated at once, directly on him.
