3 total solar eclipses are coming.

March 9, 2016, solar eclipse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_March_9,_2016
The 2016 total solar eclipse will be visible in Indonesia, and I plan on standing in the path of totality with other Americans. I will fly into Jakarta hopefully with Jen Winter and Fred Bruenjes with whom I traveled to Bolivia for the Southern Skies Star Party. Jen and Fred have chased eclipses on seven continents, and Fred has discovered a comet that bears his name. Fred Bruenjes http://www.moonglow.net/ccd/about_fred.html

August 21, 2017, solar eclipse http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_August_21,_2017
The 2017 total solar eclipse will start in the Pacific Ocean and enter the United States in Oregon. The moon's shadow will cross Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina traveling at 1000 mph before going into the Atlantic Ocean. Nashville will be in the path of totality. I will be in the small town of Crofton in western Kentucky, where totality will last 2 minutes, 40 seconds.

The 2024 total solar eclipse will also be visible in the United States.
