Why in your opinion would "Normal" Superman and Thor savagely push Thanos's !@#$ in? Superman alone would beat Thanos, based on his fights with Darkseid. Add Thor with Mjolnir, and one of the main problems Superman would have against Thanos would not only be nullified, but sent back.

You haven't seen the battle where Odin had to use a weapon to bring down Thanos?

Odin couldn't handle Thanos without additional backing that means that Thanos is a threat.

If by "couldn't handle Thanos" you mean Thanos hit Odin with everything he had (and he had help from the SS) and didn't even budge him, while Odin blasted Thanos around to the point where Thanos could barely get up, then you're right, he couldn't handle him.

Beta Ray Bill hurt Galactus more than Thanos hurt Odin.
