It had been a mostly quite night at Titans Tower, well as quite as a bunch of teens with super powers in a giant T could be, Athena and Matthew were in the common area with Matthew on the giant super computer and Athena reading a book on the couch. The two were almost never apart, even their rooms were next to each other but if anyone asked if they were going out they would both cringe and say hell no, they were just good friends almost like siblings. Athena peeks over her book to Matt just to check on on his progress with reactivating the security system under their control and also unlocking the rest of the rooms, as she expected the boy was goofing off again and downloading games. Athena levitated too Matt with surprising speed, "Two months! you have been working on that for two months and still show no progress on the system or opening the sealed rooms!" Athena roared. Matthew jumped from his seat and fell to the floor startled, "Oh my gawd! Must you levitate...at least give me a warning before you start screaming in my ear." the technopath started, "Anyways, this isn't like the other stuff I was able to hack into, who ever built this program was...actually good." Athena rested her hands on her hips and sighed, "maybe you should let Desmond or even me have look at it, maybe we'll find something you over looked." Matthew looked modified, "How dare you...I'm the BEST hacker slash technopath in this giant T." Matthew went back to work tapping at the key broad trying to find a solution, Athena smiles, "works every time..."

While Matthew is working suddenly the giant monitors flash alive and a giant map of the city appears with a red dot blooping at where a Star Industries would be. "Um...so I got that working," Matt says then starts pounding at the keys again. "It won't turn off!" he says trying to yell over the alarm. Athena looks at the screen then down at the keys and quickly taps the keys turning the alarm off. "Yeah, I was just about to do that..." Matt says embarrassed. Athena rolls her eyes and reads the monitor, "Actually I think this is a real," Athena says then presses a button activating speakers around the tower, "Titans trouble...I think."

Ashley sat there, curled up in the shadows with her back against the wall as she listened to the sound of clicking. It was unusually calming. She rolled her sucker around in her mouth with her tongue, enjoying the subtle flavor, as her bright blue eyes stared at the floor between her feet. Her arms were set upon her knees and her chin set on her arms. She seemed to be in her own little world.

She lifted her head slightly as the Clicking stopped and listened to the new sound of two people talking and arguing nearby. Again? She was starting to set her head back down when the Alarm blarred loudly, covering the noise of the bickering. Her eyes even looked to the ceiling above her as she brushed cords and wires away from her head as Athen came over the Comm "Titans trouble.. I think." Snow slowly pushed to her feet to emerge from her hidding spot. She was behind the Console! When did she get there!? Her eyes peered over the egde to Matthew as she spoke in her softess yet kind of creepy voice.

"What's going on?"

Asima had been around the new Titans for a while now and despite the tower not being fully operational yet she still found it fascinating. She was always eager to see what else they got working or just new things regarding it in general. She had been wandering around with Amir simply admiring things and talking to the large cat about the situation. As they walked they heard some sort if alarm going off but didn't pay much mind to it until they heard the call on the com which meant it was time for action. Since it was time to get to work she hopped on Amir's back as the jinn began to run through the halls into he ran into the room with everyone else and waited to here what was going on.

"Who do we have to save?" Asima asked in a somewhat excited voice.

Matthew felt his heart try to jump out of his throat as the blue haired girl popped out from behind the console, he should have been used to it by now since she does this all the time. "H-How long have you been there...and how did you get back there?" Matthew asked stumbling over his words. Athena didn't even look at the girl but kept her eyes on monitor, the alarm was still sounding off, "Matthew shut it down..." she said. Matthew shook his head and turned his attention back to the monitor then tapped a few buttons and muted the sound.

Athena noticed Asima enter the room, the summoner seem excited to get out and do good which almost put smile on her face. "Well it might be something but it could be nothing because I just turned the system on so I don't know..."Matthew said shyly. Athena looked at the tech confused, he was never like this with Katarina nor her so she might have been a bit envious but it passed quickly. "Anyways we should check just in case...Alright Titans, Lets go!" The front window slid down with a press of a button and Athena flew out of the window, little nano bots clawed out from Matthew's clothes covering his body, blue lights could be seen from under his feet and hands, he jumps out the window and quickly falls but seconds later a blue flame shot from his feet and hands allowing him to fly. He hovered outside the open window, "umm did you ladies need a ride or something?" he said forgetting if they could fly or something.

Katarina or Ghost leisurely walked through the hallways stopping only to put down security and that only took a fraction of a second, they were no match for her, the real challenge was going to be the titans and she was anticipating a fight with Athena, just the thought of it made her smile. It was easy enough for her to steal the gadget she was employed for and her powers made her a perfect thief and made most jobs almost to easy, "oh what how boring," she said before blinking behind a new guard before knocking him out.

Athena made it to the scene first and quickly flew through the building, there were men laying on the floor but the telepath could feel that they were all still alive. It didn't take her too long to find Katarina the trail of unconscious men lead her straight to her,"Katarina, what are you doing here?" Athena said genuinely surprised. Kat smirked, "The names Ghost now and your the telepath you tell me but we'll play a bit later, I wanna save you for last..." she said before teleporting out of the building and on to the roof, if Athena is here than her team was sure to follow.

Snow stared at Matthew a moment before she answered, " Awhile.." Her answer being Vague as usual. Her eyes shifted to Athena who didnt seem surprised that she was there. It was hard to take her by surprise being a Telepath. She probably knew she was there the whole time. Though thanks to her powers it was Extreamly unconfortable for anyone to get into her head like that.. even if she was okay with it. Her entire body was like ice and her skin was freezing. It would be no surprise that her mind was one big Ice Trap.

Her eyes slowly moved to Asima as she entered with her Jinn. Those things where always a mystery to her. She would sometimes find herself staring at the Jinn when ever they were in the room.. those creepy.. unblinking eyes of hers.

Snow finally moved from behind the console, taking care to not snag any wire and make the progress for the machine backtrack more or less. She watched as Athena jumped out of the window and flew off, then watched as Matthew was consumed by his little robots and flew out only to turn and ask if she needed a lift.

"I can manage" She said in her soft but blank tone.

She then flicked her wrists and both her hands became incased in frozen spikes. She began to throw them outwards into the open air where they stayed, hovering like stepping stones. She jumped out of the Tower, hopping from Ice Pedestle to Pedestle, throwing out more as she went and followed after Athena.

Having seen the building Athena went into, though quite some yards behind, Snow followed into the building, going by foot now and as per her usual disappearing within the building. Her Ice Pedestles having fell to the ground to shatter and quickly melt into what seemed to be water, which faded rapidly, without her to maintain them.

"No I'm fine, I can get there shortly. Just go ahead." Asima replied to Matthew, letting him go ahead and she recalled Amir back into the staff before twirling it around and bringing out Nas.

The Spider Jinn looked around for a moment before Asima got onto her back and commanded the Spider where to go, the jinn jumping right out the window. The large creature began to jump, web sling, and scales things to reach the destination, her nimble legs having much more agility then her size would let on. She moved fast enough to get there quickly but Nas was easily distracted causing her to be someone who was obviously end up last to arrive, having to devote time to make sure Nas didn't try to go hunting for pets or worse... for people. They'd arrive with no injuries this time, but likely after things were well under way.

"Well hello."
A quiet voice sounded behind Ghost. crouching down on the edge of the building's roof was a young man in black pants and a blue t-shirt. His blue eyes sparkled with humor, matching the smile he wore. He seemed perfectly at ease for someone who just building-hopped a ways across town. There was no sign of fatigue. The newest member of the Titans stood up straight, his eyes locked on Ghost.
Vex had been meditating in his room when the alarm went off. At firs the boy thought nothing of it, assuming that the tech was simply messing around with the system. When alarm failed to go off, however, Vex had been forced to leave his quiet place and venture out into the main room of the tower. One look told him everything. The window was open, and there was a building flashing on the big screen. Clearly, everyone had already left without him. Sighing. Vex took a running dive out the window. The strength of his jump carried him over to the nearest rooftop, and from there he had proceeded until he reached his destination. In truth, he had not expected a girl to appear on the roof the exact moment he arrived. This, evidently, was the target.
"Very flashy, for a thief," Vex commented, looking squarely at Ghost. "But I guess that doesn't matter. Are you going to surrender, or is this going to get ugly?" The young fighter seemed completely relaxed, but years of training ensured his preparation. His knees were slightly bent, his centre of gravity lowered.

Katarina turned around as the titan landed on the roof of Star Labs, the boy wasn't very tall but he easily towered over her standing only at 5'4 and she would admit he was on the hot side of appearance. Ghost smirked at the titans statement, wanna be heroes were always so cocky, "Oh no a titan please have mercy on my wicked soul!" she jest holding her hands up mocking a surrender. Kat burst into a laugh then blinked behind the titan delivering a round house kick to the back of the teen's neck.

"Well alright then," Tech said with a smile then followed above the summoner keeping pace with the spider djinn. Matthew had spent a very long time devolving his nano suit but he had finally finished it with only minor bugs that he could over look until he had some time to deal with them but for now it made a hell of a transportation. Matt made it to the building ready to help Vex but the moment he saw who the thief was he froze, he knew that Katarina had no interest in being a hero but he didn't know that he didn't think that she would try to steal from a high profile target.

Athena quickly made telepathic connection with her team save for Snow cause of her mental defense but the girl was with her so she could give direct information. ~Team, the thief is Katarina alias Ghost, power set is teleportation and and phase abilities, physical containment is pointless.~ she said out loud so Snow could also hear.

Snow was hiding as usual, under everyones noses. She was standing on an ice block she formed and was using it to hover just outside against the wall still able to hear what was going on. she heared Athena say loudly about the one they were fighting. So freezing her solid wouldnt work. and if the woman was a thief she would be agile, perhaps enough to easily avoid her spikes. She had a thought but it would have to count on Kat not Teleporting and just physically avoiding her attack. Even if she just Teleported the woman wouldnt be able to get to her since her ice block was just big enough for her feet. So why not?

The ground behind Kat, after she jumped to the roof, began to slowly ice over in a dangerously slippery way. Snow suddenly flew upwards infront of Kat, standing on one of her Ice blocks. Her hands erupted in spikes.

"Hey." She said in her monotone voice

Snow threw her hands out to the sides sending spikes down to the exact spot Kat stood and a few to her left and right in an attempt to make her jump backwards to slip on the ice. To add to it she swirled her arms down and then up together, the air infront of her shimmering towards the spot where Kat would land and possibly slip if she did just jump backwards. This was just her freezing the air to below zero. It wouldnt hurt cause she didnt want to kill anyone, but it did tend to slow a person down. Even though a person can walk through walls their body temps could still be changed.

Kat notices the arrival of the new titan and before her attacked made contact with the boy, Ghost teleported out of dangers way but noticed that the other teen would be hit by the flurry of attacks. Kat appeared behind Snow with her legs wrapped around the girls waist and sitting on her piggy back style. "Hey...have fun with that," she said mimicking Snow's voice and placed a device that was counting down on the girl then quickly flashed away before the titan could react and appeared back on the building safely away from the titans, she still felt like playing.

Vex noted quickly that this thief named Ghost was much faster than himself, even without teleporting. It was however probably a good thing for her that her roundhouse had not landed. The impact might have broken her leg.
Vex held up a protective arm, and the ice shards Snow had launched bounced off it like they were made of rubber and foam. He jumped out to his floating teammate, through the shimmering wall of frost, and ripped the device off her back. With a flick of the wrist it was sent, still counting, high into the sky. He angled himself back towards the roof, but missed. Driving his foot into the wall, he stepped himself back up to the top.
"Try to be more careful, would you?" Vex said gruffly to Snow, shaking off the feeling of cold. He lowered his voice, so Ghost would not be able to hear, "I only need one solid hit. I can bring her down, but I need to be able to catch her. Can you try to slow her down?"

Oliver Sabel was having a boring day at work as usual. While it looked good on a resume and sounded fun when spoken about, Star Labs was a yawn. Maybe the job is boring because I'm just a secretary, he thought to himself. And he was almost certain that was the case because his father always fame home from work gushing about some new computer system or some piece of hi-tech equipment that seemed to defy the natural Laws of Physics. He knew that there was some awesome things that went down at his place of employment, but being just a lowly receptionist didn't afford Olli he perks of going to the "off limits" or security clearance levels of the laboratory. He was to sit at the desk, greet people and give directions or page someone when needed to.

So when he left his desk to go to the restroom near the end of the long, main hall, he was caught off guard by a security officer crashing into the wall in one of the side halls. And just like that, everything froze. The security guard, who was sliding down the wall a second earlier appeared to be stuck to the wall at an impossible angle with his face twisted in an painful and angry expression on his face. A loud alarm was sounding behind him in the other hall and lights were flashing, but in front of Olli, the entire scene was frozen.

Except one lady. She was surrounded by fallen, frozen guards" and wore a look of utter surprise on her face at what happened. She looked then at Olli and the young man felt his own expression of surprise and panic. Whenever Olli felt that way, everything around him stopped moving. He didn't know how to explain it or why it happened, but it did. Just like now. However, the woman in the middle of the hall was moving casually towards him. That took him by surprise because he had never seen anyone immune to his ability.

He was backing up as she walked towards him but just then, the entire hall unfroze and the sudden blaring of the alarm and the bright, flashing lights in the hall caught the woman off guard. It all happened within about seven seconds. His freezing power did have a time limit. But in the fraction of a second the woman was surprised by the alarms and light, Olli raced around the corner and out of the woman's sight. If he hadn't heard a new voice, he probably would have kept running.

He crept back toward the hall and anxiously peeked around the corner. He saw a young girl flying and barely heard them exchange a few words before the woman the flying girl called Katrina literally disappeared into thin air. This was his first time seeing something like this in person. Olli knew that there were others in the world with powers but he had never came in contact with anyone. Suddenly, he got extremely excited by the prospect of seeing how this whole thing would turn out but before he could say something to the flying girl, she was zooming back down the hall.

He raced after her and noticed that she was making her way up to the roof.

Snow blinked as the guy jumped out, snagged the device from her back and then somehow managed to change direction midair, though he jumped straight out and should of fallen(!!!), and get back onto the building. She then looked to Ghost.

"She will just disapear if I try again."

As her last word leaves her mouth she floats downwards and then through a window to disapear into the building.

Ghost watched as the snow woman disappeared, she couldn't blame her though after that joke bomb she placed on her and her attack completely failing. Kat smirked at the male titan, "So it's just you and me again, huh?" Kat noticed that the snow woman's icicles just shattered when they made contact and she didn't want her bones to also shatter. "Your super durable aren't you and my kicks would be like a tap..." she starts to say mostly talking to herself, "but I bet I'm a lot fast then you and I doubt you could stop me from phasing through you and taking something you'd miss. So be a good boy and stand down." Katarina says matter-of-factly.

Athena made her way through the building flying up the large stair case heading to the roof when she noticed someone was following her, she stopped in mid air and not turning she addresses her pursuer, "It's dangerous ahead," she turned to the boy and paused for a second. "Your powers won't stop her but it might slow her down...processed if you want but it's at your own risk Oliver." Athena turned from the boy and continued out the stairway.

Snow made her way through the building, using her ice pedastle like a transport. She went up through the building until she was right under the area that Ghost and Vex were standing. Her ice wouldnt hurt him. So why not try something new? She put her hands upon the ceiling and began to freeze it with her own ice, coating it until it shined with the cold. Usually there would be a buffer between the ceiling and a roof so naturally this freezing wouldnt be felt by the two above. Tapping into the entire blanket of ice Snow then condensed it at certain points and with a push of her mind created hundreds of ice spikes shoot up through the buffer area and upwards through the roof of the entire area at the exact same time about two feet upwards. Vex wouldnt get hurt and since Ghost wouldnt have time to react since she speared all the spikes at the same time and at different angles it would be hard pressed to miss the woman with every single one.

She couldnt be sure if her attack had made any progress and she was already getting fatigued. Hopfully she got at least a foot to slow the woman down for the others cause she douted she could do that again.

"I can't beat you on my own, I'll admit that much," Vex said to Ghost. "But I'm not alone, and even as fast as you are, you won't catch me before reinforcements arrive. You should be the one standing down." As the titan finished talking, he felt the roof beginning to rumble. Knowing that either Snow or Athena was preparing something below, he charged towards Ghost, his steps breaking down the roof even more, creating a spiderweb of cracks in his wake. A single punch might be enough to stop this thief, but he was have to be able to get close to her first.

Olli stopped dead in his tracks when the flying girl addressed him directly. She said it was dangerous ahead but basically gave him permission to follow. He could only assume that she was talking about the one called Kat. When she eyed him she also said that his power could help. How did she know about that, he thought to himself. He was side she wasn't in the hall when he froze it.

He didn't realize that he was heading back up the stairs until he heard g guy speaking. Making his way to the top of the stairs, he saw the heavy, metal door was closing and knew that the flying girl was already in the midst of the action. He ran to keep the door from slamming shut and peeked through the crack. He saw a slim boy racing towards a rather calm looking Kat. She was standing not too far from the front of the door. Olli noticed the determination on the boy's face and dove through the door, not wanting to be right there when the running boy collided with Kat.

He comically rolled behind a metal vent, bumping against it as he came out of the roll. He had nowhere near as graceful as he would have liked to be in that moment but figured no one was even paying attention to him. Just as he righted himself, the roof erupted in spikes. One shot right up between his legs and he pressed himself close against to vent behind him. The cold emanating from the spike told Olli that it was made of ice.

What the heck is going on, he thought to himself.

Katarina almost burst into a laugh if it weren't for the rumbling coming from under her feet making her look down to see that the roof had been frosted over. Shards of ice erupted just in front of her causing her to take a step back but the ice seemed to come randomly and she felt that her leg had been cut. With all the icicles Kat almost forgot about Vex but quickly remembered as the guy started to charge, there was no time to think, her body reacted by it self and flashed behind Vex where he had once stood. Another icicle had cut her this time in the arm, pissed off Ghost flashes again and appears on Vex's back, her arm id wrapped around his neck and her boots and knees dug into his back. "Game over kid," Ghost says as her arm sinks into the boys back, suddenly the door to the roof is slammed open and Katarina felt herself being thrown off Vex's back and off the roof before she could do any real damage to the titan.

Athena rushes over to the edge where Ghost flew over and looked down only to see nothing. Icicles shattered as they got close to Athena while she floated back to Vex, "are you injured?" She asked looking him over. ~enough Snow~ she said telepathicly ignoring the the massive headache that usually followed.

Snow flinched as a mental link was connected with her. As soon as the link was made a thick Ice Shell formed around her without even thinking to do so.

"Enough Snow." Said the pained voice.

The voice was usually pained since her powers didnt like it when others got into her head. But still, she knew who it was. The Ice Shell rose up and seemed to 'seep' into the frozen ceiling and then rise from the ice upon the roof. There it shattered leaving Snow standing there, her hair completly ice and her eyes a glowing white. However this image of her faded as quick as she had arose from the ice and she felt woozy, wobbling slightly.

" Are we done? "

"You might want to stand back," Vex told Athena. The young Titan's body heat was rising rapidly. Very soon he would erupt in flames. He turned his head towards Athena. "She's not going to stay away for long," he said to her. "If she comes back we had best be ready. She's not going to get another chance to hurt me like that again."
Indeed, having this thief's arm phase through his back was the first time Vex had experienced physical pain since he was little. Vex wanted revenge, but he doubted that even if he used his power to increase his speed, he would be able to catch Ghost. What to do, then? Athena may be able to come up with a plan to win, but could she do it in time?

Olli rose from behind the vent and stared blankly at the three teens out of sheer amazement. He had always known that there were meta-humans other than himself in the world, but never in his own city. He had heard people talking about some heroes of the past and some pretty big battles going down in Jump City way back when, but had resigned himself to the fact that he lived in a pretty normal city now. Until now.

He shyly approached the three teens who were talking amongst themselves. What exactly should he say? Should he try to shake their hands? How should he act? His knees were still shaking from the ice almost castrating him but he would put on a brave face. Act like this was just a normal day and stuff like this happened all the time.

He took a few more steps towards the trio and squeaked out a "Hi."

Athena floated away from Vex giving him some room, she doubted that Katarina would come back with all of them on the roof, she's reckless not stupid but just in case she would do a quick mental sweep on the area. Athena landed on her feet and put her two fingers on in the center of her forehead soon after a psychic wavelength pulsed from her covering a cities block, "Not thing, she wouldn't attack if I'm here, that's why she lead me in side before coming out here. Her plan was most likely to measure the teams fighting ability with out me getting in the way, knowing I'd be able to stop her from phasing and teleporting...I can't believe she's still able to trick me," Athena explains disappointed that she fell for Kat's plan.

Matthew finally came out of his shocked state and landed next to Athena, his head was lowered feeling useless cause he just stood there and watch not to mention Vex was almost killed. Tech turns his attention to the new face, from his Star Lab name tag he figured he must work here. "hey...sorry we'll be out of your way soon," he said not mentioning that they didn't get whatever was stolen back.

Snow was suddenly behind and to the left of Matthew, looking over his shoulder. She looked at him with her usual blank expression, the stick to her sucker bobbing with her lips as she spoke in her lack luster tone.

"You look upset."

She stared at him with her bright blue eyes before looking over to the guy who walked over. As soon as she saw him the ice spikes that were still around shattered and crumpled to dust.

"Sorry." Was all she said to the newcomer.

Her eyes shifted back to Matthew and then to Athena.

He didn't know there was another kid present. He shook his hear at him and cleared his throat before speaking to all of them in a smote steady voice. "Its not me you all have to worry about." The alarms were still ringing in the building and he jabbed his thumb back towards the door. "Security is sure to be here any moment. I can cover you guys, but you gotta get out of here," he said as he looked directly at the girl who could fly. Everything happened so fast and he seen so much in just 15 short minutes and all Olli knew was Kat's name. He figured he'd never see these people again so he quickly pushed all kinds of questions about them out of his head and instead began to come up with a story of why he was up here and what all the commotion was.

Tech almost jumped out of his skin when Snow suddenly appeared in back of him, he didn't know how she was so sneaky, did she have stealth powers or something? Matt looked at the boy and nodded in agreement and turned bumping into Snow when he tried to turn around, "ow ow ow...sorry!" he said blushing out of embarrassment, the boy made sure she was okay then rocketed away before he made a bigger fool of himself.

Athena ignored Matthews blonder and walked up to her team and the boy from Stab Labs, "that wont be necessary, I'll explain what happened to the authorities." As Athena speaks the sun is peaking out from the horizon, "The rest of you guys go back to the tower and explain what happened to the others I'll be back soon." Athena says then addresses the boy, "Would you mind escorting me to the entrance?" Athena could find her own way through the building but this would give her a chance to talk with Oliver.

Kat appeared in a shady part of town far away from the crime scene she lets out a growl and punches a wall, "shit...I got shredded out there, they have too many to fight head on," she says wiping away some of the blood from her shallow wounds. Kat composes herself then phases through one of the walls and is inside an abandon warehouse, it was time to deliver the item she was paid to steal and she was getting paid a ridicules amount of money.

Olli was surprised by the flying girl's request. He watched as one of the boys clumsily flew off and looked squarely at the girl who he assumed was the leader of the group of teens. He nodded in agreement and was quietly impressed that she would face Star Lab security. As they were walking back down the stairs Olli used to observe the rather quick battle, he blurted out to her, "This is a pretty noble thing you're doing in heading to the security. They don't take to kindly to strangers busting up this lab. There's a lot if hi-tech do-dads and crap that's really unstable and its pretty well guarded. But of course that Kat girl would he able to break in seeing as she can teleport. They're gonna be looking to place the blame on someone. What are you gonna say or do?"

Without saying anything, Vex turned and leaped away. He was reasonably calm now, but even so... The fact that this Ghost could actually reach inside him and hurt him was a minor shock. What was even more disappointing was that she had gotten away, presumably with the item she had stolen.
'Leave it to Athena,' he told himself as he building-hopped his way back to the tower. 'She'll be able to figure something out.' Vex landed at the base of the tower. Without any indication the doors simply opened for him. Some kind of technical sensor whatchamacallit, Vex didn't really care. He walked back to the main room and collapsed on a couch. The others would be here before long.

Kaine had woken up a couple of minutes earlier to the cold embrace of his rooms floor, now he sat with a cigaret in his mouth but no lighter. He scratched his head with a sigh and looked around his room and wall from wall saw nothing of possible use until his eyes fixated on his power armor. The purple and grey armor glistened with the new coat of polish he took to it before he went to sleep but soon an idea came to light. "ah"
He jumped up to his feet giving himself a nice stretch before marching himself over to the armor. He began rustling with the arm before the armors forearm detached and was firmly placed over his own.
It sparked to life with the faint sounds of servos running and with it the armor, it's lights shining bright before growing dim. "...okay"
Note to self, activate one piece of the armor and the whole thing boots up._
He reached his arm out and aimed the cannon across his wrist to the end of his cigaret. "1...2...3" with a flash and a slight hum a blade of energy formed in front of his face slicing his cigaret clean in half lighting it in the process.
A smile came over his face '..eh it kinda worked didn't it?' He looked at the half a cigaret on the ground. 'Eh Iv been meaning to cut back anyway'
He jumped over a pile of assorted Tools and took to the hallway.. There was usually more activity than this 'Where was everyone anyway?'

He walked threw a couple of hallways in search of the others until he reached the main room. He heard breathing and he quickly spun to see someone on the couch_'ah a breathing person.. I think' he took a breath being a little uncomfortable addressing others, he only had recently arrived at the tower and really hadnt spoken much to anyone aside from Athena.
He gave a smile "uh.. Hey where is every one?" he scratched his head, this time with the gauntlet making him wince slightly.

Athena walked beside Oliver resisting the urge to go through his mind since the boys thoughts almost seemed to jump out at her and say read me but she instead answered her question. "I will tell them what happened besides they can see for themselves if they simply look at the footage the security cameras recorded and if they choose to not accept the truth I guess I'll have to make them..." Athena said a bluntly. "Anyways the titans are recognized by the city as a sort of an authority, that is why we are not arrested for being vigilantes." Athena glances at the boy and clears her voice before continuing, "That was brave of you on the roof, coming to try to help even though it was dangerous, you could have got killed; Ghost could have reached in side of you and took your liver or Vex could have punched you on accident and pulverized your bones or even Snow with her icicles could have impaled your body..." Athena's voice was a bit more relaxed listing off the things that could have gone wrong but she paid close attention to the boys reaction.

Matt landed in the common room of the giant T where the titans usually relaxed on the cough and watched TV on their down time, he noticed that Vex was the first one back and wondered if he had noticed him being useless when he saw Ghost. Matt tried to tip toe to his room not wanting to face Vex when he was was hit by smoke from Kaine's cigarette and began to cough,"Oh come on dude light up out side, other people live here that don't want to die slow and painful deaths," the tech says waving away the smoke.

Kat appeared in a shady part of town far away from the crime scene she lets out a growl and punches a wall, "shit...I got shredded out there, they have too many to fight head on," she says wiping away some of the blood from her shallow wounds. Kat composes herself then phases through one of the walls and is inside an abandon warehouse, it was time to deliver the item she was paid to steal and she was getting paid a ridicules amount of money.

The old storage facility is derelict, rusted and corroded metal groaning under the strain of it own weight. A barrel sits in a corner, its edges blackened from fire that probably warmed a hobo's nose. The air is thick with dust, the motes dancing happily in the fades streaks of light from the dirt caked windows that send sharp shadows along the floors and walls. "There you are, Ghost." echoes a voice throughout the cavernous building. A figure moves in the shadows to alert her, but doesn't stray from them. "For a moment I thought you might have been unable to complete your task. You do have what I asked for, don't you?"

Olli tried to keep his face calm as the girl rattled off the many ways he could have been killed or injured but he could feel it scrunch up. He let out a nervous laugh as he replied to her. "I wasn't any type of help. I actually wanted to see the fight. I didn't think there were still heroes in the city." He scratched his head, realizing how ignorant he'd been to not hear that the Titans were back together. "I have to admit that I've been so wrapped up in my relatively boring life that I didn't realize you guys were active again."

The girl said that they the Titans were seen as an authority figure in the city and there would be no trouble in explaining the situation to Star Labs' security so he stopped and leaned up against the wall and folded his arms.

"Back on subject, though, I couldn't do a thing to help you guys up there against Kat." Olli exhaled. This girl was the first person he was going to tell he had a power. It was his only secret and he'd done a good job of keeping it, until today. "I have this...thing...that I can do. I can freeze stuff. Not in the traditional since with ice. I don't know the technical terms or anything but I can stop stuff or people from moving. Freezing them in place. It only seems to happen when I get surprised or spooked. And earlier, right before you flew in here, I froze the entire hall Kat was in as she was taking out some guards. Except she didn't freeze. That never happened before. She was immune to my power and I'm sure that I'd be done for if you hadn't shown up."

Olli was looking down in shame. He never felt helpless before. He miscalculated his own abilities entirely and could only assume because he didn't really know anything about them. Its not like he ever tried to use them. They were always a knee-jerk reaction to his panic. And he made no attempt to figure them out or practice. And because of that, he could have gotten seriously hurt, or worse.

Snow let out a soft 'Umph' as Matthew bumped into her with that Nano armor of his. She fell on her butt and blinked a few times before looking up to hear his apology and then rocket off.

Snow sat there watching them all depart until she was alone on the roof top. She got to her feet and slowly reached down cupping some of the Dust from her shattered Ice Spikes in her hands before throwing the dust high over her head to give the air a beautiful shimmer and rainbow effect. She gave a soft smile before the dust around her began to swirl and compact to a flat dense block of ice. She stepped up onto it and allowed it to carry her back to the tower.

Landing in the Common room she set her foot on the floor and the ice block fell to dust and collected against her body before seeming to just disapear. She walked through the room not even glancing to Vex and Kaine. She made her way down the hallway and towards her room. The door to her room seemes to have been forcibly removed and set against the wall in the hall. In its place was a thick dense sheet of ice and as she approached it the Ice wall fell into dust to allow her entry. She made a straight line to her table which had nothing on it but a large black case. She walked right up to it, stared at it for a bit and then slowly opened it. Inside was an assortment of Suckers arranged in flavor groups from Favorite to least favorite, which was still a favorite to her. She picked up a watermellon one and placed it into her mouth before she closed the case and walked out of her room again. The Ice wall reforming to block entry into her room. After that the Security cameras seem to lose track of her.

Athena gave the slightest of smiles but it quickly disappeared, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Athena said quoting Edmund Burke. Athena listened as the boy confessed his deepest secret to her, "Well it's not uncommon for kids to hide their abilities if it makes them feel different, especially if they're parents don't have powers, that could be the reason why you suppress your abilities rather then... embracing them," Athena cleared her throat a bit embarrassed that she went on a rant. "Anyways thanks for sharing with me, I'm telekinetic and telepathic, in other words I can read thoughts and move things with my mind." Athena said and thought for a second, "If you want help with your powers stop by Titan's tower and we'll help you find control...in any case I can take it from here if you want to leave and avoid getting caught up in this." she said as they got closer to their destination.

He was about to fall asleep when he heard someone knocking at his door, he lets out a low growl before getting up and answering the door, Matt was again surprised by Snow. he spoke to The guy he knew was called Vex but got no reply, maybe he didn't speak loud enough? Oh well. He took a deep drag of his cancer stick and exhaled. Shifting his weight as the others arrived seemingly all at once. He waved a greeting with his metal gauntlet before hearing Matts words. He forced a smile and nodded his head "apologizes" he took the cigarette out his mouth and put it out on the armored finger tip placing the remains in his breast pocket. "waste not want not... Or however the saying goes"He yawned loudly walking by Matt and threw himself onto a couch across from Vex feeling a little bit lost and totally out of his depth.

Watching both Matt and the seemingly stoic Snow walk off it dawns on him he really doesnt have any comrades in this new troop.. Or would that be friends in this new team? "bah whatever.." maybe I should make a friend? Vex seems pent up.. Snow was..well would saying 'cold' seem like a joke? Anyway where was that other girl.. Asima I think it was.
Wait..more importantly where the heck did everyone go?!He spoke slightly louder to get the attention of Vex or anyone passing by "so where did you guys come from? Was their a party?" "Yes," the shadowy figure says with a low chuckle, "I see I made a good investment with you." A large bag flies out from the shadows, landing at Katarina's feet. "We'll be in touch." They come back on after a moment, but the figure is gone, as is the device she had laid on the table.

Vex was brought out of his brief reverie by a loud voice. He turned a baleful eye at Kaine. "Sorry, wasn't paying attention. We had a bit of a tussle with a thief, but they got away." The young man sat up and rubbed the spot on his back where Ghost had 'hit' him. There was no pain now, but the memory of it was still fresh.
"When everyone gets back we'll have to decide how to deal with it. Until then... " Vex threw his hands up into the air and lay back down.

Wondering whether or not his parents had any secret powers was the thought going across Olli's mind after the girl brought it up. He often times wondered about that because it would explain where he got his from. But that thought floated right out of his mind as quickly as it came when the girl announced her powers. Telekinesis and telepathy. Two pretty common powers but seeing the girl fly around and remembering her call him by his name and knowing that he had a power proved to Olli that she had a level of control over them and he only dreamed about in passing.

"Thanks for the invite," he smiled at her. "I have every intention of taking you up on that offer. But I don't have to go anywhere in specific and leave you by yourself. My dad's sort of a big-wig here. Head of Computer Technology. I can just say I was about to go see him when everything happened."

They were finally approached by a few security guards and two scientists. Olli recognized one of the scientists as Mrs. Meaux, the director of Star Labs. She wore a scowl on her face that told just how pissed she was but she was also shocked to see to the two young people.

"What is this," the woman asked in an accent Olli couldn't quite place. "What are you two doing here? I recognize the boy as one of the receptionists from the welcome center. His father is also Head of the Computer Tech department," she said to one of the guards, "but I don't know this girl." She was eyeing the girl suspiciously as if waiting for her to explain herself.

His skin had goosebumps as he stepped up to the entrance of Titans' Tower, staring the entryway with arms folded across his chest, partially covering the bright red stylized X on his chest. "So they haven't even gotten security up and running," he mutters to himself with a chuckle and a shake of his skull mask covered head, "Wonder what's taking so long. Makes my entrance easier, at least." With that, the young man enters the tower, striding into the elevator confidently and hitting a button. After a short wait, he steps out and moves down the hall and through the sliding door into the common area. As he passes the couch, he raises his right arm slightly with a brief greeting, "Yo." He keeps moving and slips into the seat of the supercomputer, cape resting over the back of the chair.

Can't believe I slept threw something like that" Kaine stretched his arms out until a series of cracks sounded followed by a soft sigh.
Given their power sets a single thief shouldn't have been a challenge. Perhaps things were about to get interesting? Hostile even. Fun times ahead. He held in a smile with the glee he felt thinking about it, it has been some time since he did some damage and was beginning to feel restless. Weren't heroes lives supposed to be full of constant danger and challenges?

Suddenly his attention darts to the doorway as it opens, a unfamiliar form enters the room. The skull motif much like on his own armor yelled 'enemy' at him in big bright letters but the titans were actively recruiting.. And honestly he didn't pay much attention.
With a greeting and a passing 'yo' kaine just assumed he belonged.. Honestly he didn't understand any of the people here and his instincts have failed him numerous times since entering the 'normal' world.
"hey" he spoke to redX, kaine shifted laying down on the couch putting his feet up facing Red X's direction.. He was dangerous in a similar way as himself. He enjoyed it for what it was. Perhaps coming here was a good thing after all.
"I think I missed something but if your new here greetings, I'm Kaine who might you be stranger?"

It was the most she had said in one sitting her entire time here. Before Matthew could answer her she turned and walked back down the hall towards the Common room, stopping at the end where she looked to a person sitting at the computer.

"I guess we already have." She looked to the person a bit longer and her brow scrunched up. Looking at the person made something in the back of her mind twitch. She glanced back down towards Matthew before she moved to the man at the computer. She had been here for a good while and she never met this person before.

With her footsteps silent as always and her own heat signature masked by her powers it was hard to ever actually find her or scan for her. She made her way up behind the person on the computer and in silence watched what he was doing... be a creepy girl as always.

"Red X," he replied to Kaine without looking back at him. His hands danced across the keys, the main screen flashing in and out of windows as he perused what had already been unlocked. He paused after moment, turning his head to the side and saying, "You mind, dollface? Kinda crowding me here." He turned back to the sreen and saw it asking for security clearance. "Alright, time to see if that old timer really knew what he was talking about." His fingers tapped out a rhythm as he typed something, the screen flashing asterisks to mask his inputs, and then he casually leaned back and hit "Enter". The supercomputer seemed to pause, then words flashed across the screen.

WELCOME BACK, TITANS.

Snow said nothing to the person, Red X, as he called himself, though her brow nitted slightly and for only a moment at being called Dollface. As she turned away to leave there was a crackling sound. She smiled softly as she left back to her own room leaving Red X alone.. with his cape frozen solid to the back of the chair.

The obstacle course seems dull a moment but after a few seconds it begins to start up. It moves slowly at first, something that should be fixed by one of the techies around the place. Ignoring the lack of intensity in the course, the set up itself seemed to have changed from the classic one in more then a few ways. There were moving platforms, multiple enemy boards, fire traps, electric fences, walls, and strangely enough a car drop. The obstacle course was a bit more tedious then expected.

At the beginning of the field stood a girl who appeared to lack a certain drive about her. Her clothing was something of a fashion break, wearing things that might appear as if she got dressed with her eyes closed. A thick cotton skirt, a skirt that didn't match, even black stockings up her legs. She wears a strange style of dark jacket with red details over it. To top it off, the girl wore a red scarf with a symbol on it similar to a star. A girl like this running the titans obstacle course would seem strange, she lacks the look of a hero or villain.

As the obstacle course starts up, a timer begins to count down from 03. The second that the first beep to signal the 03 came, the girls ears twitched. One of her feet tapped the ground. The timer dropped again. 02. Her foot dropped. Anticipation burned through her body as she waits for the last beep... 01. The words "Go!" appear on a board and the girl was off. The coarse first came at her with two walls rushing from her on both her left and right, as they slammed closed, her body had pushed away in front of them. Her feet pressed to the ground and she jumped into the air. The girl leaped from there to a platform, jumping across them to move to the other side. The speed that she executed these jumps proved her agility itself was well tuned. She had a strong sense for combat. The girl landed on the other side and as she landed, four target boards pop out of no where. The girl didn't waste time stopping after she landed and made a straight rush for them. She had swung her arms in a punching strike, hitting each target at the center to take them out. With her fist striking the last one, her foot had pressed to throw herself into the air in a flip overhead. She landed on the other side of the collapsed target and proceeded swiftly. Walls began rushing from all sides at her again-- from above, she slid forward and avoided it. From her left-- the girl jumped up and rotated around the edge. From below-- the girl jumped off it just as it rose. She landed on the ground and stumbled forward into the center of what appeared to be a firing range. Projectiles began firing at her from every which direction. She had spun, ducked, flipped, she was dodging them well at first. They seemed relentless as the girl was held down, her body singed with flames. Suddenly, she tucked in and with a violent roar her arms thrust out in both directs. A violent flame roars from her body, seeming to first burn then overheat the firing canisters. The projectiles stopped and the girl took off toward the end. The floor let go underneath her feet and she gasped, seeming to fall. Her arms were brought back and she seem to pull a newly formed fire from her arms, shooting it off at a downward angle behind her. This shot off like jets and she was lifted into the air, enough to avoid the fall she began. She touched back onto the ground in time for a car to drop from the sky and land on top of her, she seemed to have been crushed by the car.

After a few seconds, the center of the car from the hood to the trunk split open and both halves of the car fell apart. The girl who ran the coarse stood up and looked between the two. She was no longer wearing her casual outfit, but rather a set of strange yet powerful looking red armor. In her right hand, she held a sword. The blade itself was a sharp, almost regular looking one. The rest of the sword; the hilt, the guard, the pommel. It matched her armor. The girl shook her head and ignored her transformation, proceeding to walk to the end of the obstacle coarse. When she reached the end, short embers tore from her armor and it disappeared, revealing her as she was in casual clothing. She looked back at the timer to see how long she took. Her time qualified her, but to her was not impressive. Above average was the only acceptable time. Knowing this, she turned from the course and proceeded to the staircase to enter the towers structure and exit the roof.

Athena looked up at the woman who seemed to be in charge, the psychic didn't care for her attitude but ignored it, she couldn't blame her since her work place was robbed and the security was thrashed. "I'm Athena leader of the Titans." Athena was getting used to introducing herself as the new leader of the Titans and dealing with the disbelief that usually followed, after all she just looked like a regular teenage girl, she didn't wear a mask or costume with a giant T on it. "You must be Mrs. Meaux, directer of Star Labs," she says reading her mind to save time then explains to her about the break in and the thief named Ghost but leaves out Katarina's real name, there was no reason for a civilian to know that information. "In any case we'll be working with Jump Cities PD to get what was stolen back to you." Athena says waiting for the questions sure to follow, she didn't feel obligated to answer and she didn't need anymore information that she did not already take but the titans were newly reformed and she didn't want to damage their reputation already by leaving before seeming to be corroborative.


Matthew had a look of confusion as Snow asked a question then walked away before letting him answer, he steps out of his room and looks down the hall to see some masked guy sitting at his chair which makes him even more confused. The tech walks over to see what was going on and his eyes widen as the security systems are turned on, suddenly a red light scans the room and most likely the whole tower then is followed by a loud alarm "INTRUDER ALERT INTRUDER ALERT". Matthew screams and runs over to the computer nearly tripping over his own feet, laser guns appear to come out of the walls and take aim, Matthew quickly taps the keys and shuts the system down again and lets out a sigh of relief, "That was a close one," he says with a nervous smile then remembers the guy with the mask and jumps back, "Who the heck are you and how and why and what?" he stumbles over his words then looks at Vex and Kaine for an explanation.


Katarina took the bag from the floor of the abandon building and teleported out and appeared in what seemed to be a penthouse apartment, crime indeed paid well allowing her to live how she thought she deserved. After all she did come from a rich family before her parents died and she did miss the life style of the wealthy, it was just too bad Athena and Matthew had to be so goody goody or they could be live the life as well, she often thought as she lounged alone in her beautiful apartment. Everything was paid in cash and people were paid not to ask question about how a teenager could live alone and pay for a very expensive apartment.

The girl from the obstacle coarse stands in a hallway opposite the staircase. The entire hall appears singed in black. Security systems, monitors, anything that seemed in plain sight was utterly and completely blackened and burned. The girl brushes her hands against each other, as if to cleanse them of the smoke fuming from them. Though this did not damage every security system in the tower, in that hall it seemed to shut down if not destroy all the systems. The girl turns and walks to a door that opens as she approaches it. The door leads her to a room, some what blunt. The room had a bed, a desk, a chair, and a mirror.
The bed was laid with black flame resistant sheets and a soft yet abundant amount of pillows. There is no blanket laid over it. Upon the bed, over the sheets, there was a set of swords. They begin basic and small, working their way up to more complex and detailed larger swords.
The desk and chair were together. The chair was a simple one, meant for computer use. The floor in the room was hard, so the chair was easily moved. The desk had documents laid across it. These documents seem to detail information of several people. There is a pile of documents that are neatly stacked on the right side of the desk.
The mirror cast a reflection of the edge of the desk and the bed, as it stood to the right of the desk but at the center of the wall. There was a strangeness about it.

As the girl entered the room, she exhaled. The irritation that was the loud obnoxious noise was dealt with but it would only cause someone to later fix it. The girl hoped only that she would not be here when they were doing repairs. She glanced at the files and approached her desk to go over them. She then thought back to an earlier date, to the idea of how repairing seemed to work around the tower. The thought made her punch her desk before pulling the chair back and taking a seat. With the chair rolling back in and the door to the room shutting, she looked over the files again. She brushes the files aside to a paper laying flat on the desk. The title on the top of the paper reads... 'What is a Teen Titan'.

As the alarms sounded Kaine shot up and out of his seat, a look of excitement barely contained on his face as the low hum of his gauntlet roared in hostility for a instant unleashing a tether of energy. Crackling he whips at the nearest laser guns gauging out a portion of the wall along with a fun or two. Regrettably the action only lasted what felt like s instant as the loud alarm came to a abrupt end. Kaine fixated his stare on red X but acknowledged Matthew's question with a playful tone "Ah, he said his name is Red X.. just walked threw the door and started tinkering around.. Kinda sorta thought he was the new tech guy" he trails off a laugh to try and not hurt his feelings.
"this seems very sloppy X, what's your aim here?"
He sized up Red X and he came across as a dangerous individual friend or foe. If he was a enemy.. Or should I call them villains? Never mind that If he was a enemy why would he throw himself into the lions den? Interesting fellow.

Matthew ignores most of what Kaine says as his attention is back on the computer, he stares astonished before rapping at the keys, "How did you know what to do?" Tech's eyes moved frantically taking in the new information, "I've been working on this for months now...I hope your a tall flat chested girl under that mask cause I could kiss you!" Matthew says still typing with a huge smile.

Snow came to a stop at the hallway entrance and then seemed to hardly move at the sound of Alarms. Her eyes only reacted to each movement as guns and Defenses abound come to life and took aim before it was all deactivated. Her expression seemed... bored of it all and she didnt seem to bothered by the idea of being nearly blasted to bits. She slowly turned and looked back to them all, from Kaine and his over exciting need to do damage, to Matthew who seems happy enough to want to kiss a boy... which was kind of strange but she didnt judge.. and then to Red X who seemed to fix the Tower. It was obvious this person wasnt one of the usual Titans since even Matthew didnt know who he or she was. So instead of returning to her room she sets her back to the wall inside the hallway just out of sight of the others. Was this Red X friend or Foe?

Mrs. Meaux was not quelled. "With all of the security here, I'm not too sure how this "Ghost" was even able to get in here iin the first place." The guard next to the raging woman appeared to shrink, to Olli as the Director got more angry.

"And there is no form of communication," she was ranting. "I don't even know what was stolen, yet these...children managed to chase this crook away. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT OUR REPUTATION?!?"

Olli was doing his best to stifle a laugh as his father often mentioned how this woman could blow up at the slightest mistake. Although, he admitted to himself, this isn't just some small mistake. What if what was stolen was some dangerous hi-tech weapon. That thought instantly knocked the wind out of Olli's chest. He looked to the self-proclaimed psychic and willed his thoughts into her head. He could almost hear himself mind-screaming.

*You have to find out what was stolen! There are some pretty dangerous things made here and if some super-powered thief stole something like that, it can't be good!*

Athena didn't even bat an eye lash as the woman gets louder, screaming adults was something she was used to. "Ghost has the ability to walk through walls and teleportation, she would be hard for anyone to pin down." She explains almost feeling bad for the men. "Well if you find out anything let us know, it may help us get your property back" Athena says doubting her corroboration.

~Yes it is very important that we do...but don't worry we find Ghost.~ Athena telepathically says to Oliver.

*I want to do whatever I can to help,* Olli mind-spoke. He was feeling guilty that he wasn't able to do much and wanted to rectify this in anyway he could. He didn't mind doing some reaseach into what was stolen and why. But he didn't knwo how to go about doing that. It was a good thing that the psychic invited him to train with the Titans. He was sure that they had some kind of sophisticated comupter equipment he could try to work with. But what he really wanted all of a sudden was to learn how to use his power willingly. He didn't want to be seen as useless anymore.

*Just tell me what I can do.*

The girl had been sitting at her desk for some time. She was inspecting all of the files that laid upon it. The names went through her head, each one lit a spark, each spark caught fire, each fire blazed with a thought that burned into her mind as a memory. Names were spoken lightly, traced with her mind. Robin. Starfire. Cyborg. Beastboy. Raven. The titans who previously owned the tower that they now inhabited. Her mind could not be tricked so easily by fancy words or thoughts. They were like vigilantes. The tower was not theirs, the previous Titans did not give it to them. They scavenged the gear of great people and used it to continue their work. The girl had read over the files for hours, memorizing information about them. She was not a computer genius, she could not tell you the technical information of anything, she couldn't even cook. No, where she specialized was in tactic. By discovering the past, she had hoped to unlock a better path for the future. Her mind was crossed on this topic. She placed the files onto the desk and took up another group of files.

The files she picked up now were not about the previous Titans, but about people the Titans kept files on. Enemies, allies, people who in some way were deemed important by the Titans. There was a large list. The girl began to think. Should she try to understand this all on her own, she would get no where. Even if she did find out anything, what good would it do her to keep the information to herself. The girl began to settle on the idea of taking the information she scavenged to Athena or Matthew-- when suddenly an irritating pounding noise came to her door. The girl ignored it and went back to reading her files quietly, as if to give the appearance that nobody were home.

"No offense, Ms. Athena," Mrs. Meaux grimaced, "but regardless of your title, we will not require your services. My people can use this opportunity to redeem themselves of such a pitiful display."

Turning around to leave, she eyed Olli with an air of suspicion. "Now that the excitement is over, Mr. Sabel, you can return to your desk." And with that, Mrs. Meaux and the guards with her left Olli and Athena to themselves.

Snow said nothing to the person, Red X, as he called himself, though her brow nitted slightly and for only a moment at being called Dollface. As she turned away to leave there was a crackling sound. Matthew had a look of confusion as Snow asked a question then walked away before letting him answer, he steps out of his room and looks down the hall to see some masked guy sitting at his chair which makes him even more confused. The tech walks over to see what was going on and his eyes widen as the security systems are turned on, suddenly a red light scans the room and most likely the whole tower then is followed by a loud alarm "INTRUDER ALERT INTRUDER ALERT". Matthew screams and runs over to the computer nearly tripping over his own feet, laser guns appear to come out of the walls and take aim, Matthew quickly taps the keys and shuts the system down again and lets out a sigh of relief, "That was a close one," he says with a nervous smile then remembers the guy with the mask and jumps back, "Who the heck are you and how and why and what?" he stumbles over his words then looks at Vex and Kaine for an explanation.

"Might wanna take a breath, kid," X says as he watches Matthew from the seat while sitting casually, as if his cape being frozen to chairs was a common occurrence, "Pretty quick on your feet when you need to be, though. Not bad. The name's Red X, and I'm here to help you guys get the Titans up and running again." He moved his hands across the keys again, and a new window pops up.



He stares at the screen for a moment, then performs a few more button presses, the screen reflecting his actions.



Leaning back into the seat again, he gestures with his right hand to the screen. "Starting by adding yourselves to the roster, so the security system doesn't try to blow us all up again."

Athena didn't say anything as the woman and the others left, she annoyed her the way she talked to her underlings. The titan starts to levitate herself off the ground, "Just keep your eyes open, I'll be in touch" Athena says before turning to exit the building. She had to get back soon before there was no tower to come back to, everyone was still introverted and not yet used to being a team, she had to admit to herself that she still only thought of Matthew and herself and knew that things would have to change quickly or else things would start to fall apart. Athena flew over the city but wasn't in a rush she had so much to think about, Katarina mostly, Athena knew she stole to get by but this was different, she was walking a dangerous path and she knew that this was not the last time they'd run into each other.

Athena flew into the main entrance of the tower and was soon in the common room and noticed Vex and Matt and knew Snow was some where near but there was someone she didn't recognize. Athena levitated silently over to Tech and RedX, "Matthew who is this?" she says having trouble reading the boys mind.

"I see I see," Matthew says registering everyone and adding their bio signatures (DNA, finger prints) that he collected with or without them knowing. "Wait a sec...this must be a typo," he said deleting the leader from his name and adding it to Athena's name. Suddenly her heard Athena's voice and jumped a bit, "Why are the girls here so darn sneaky..." Matthew said before thinking about Athena's question then looked at Red X, "I don't know I thought you recruited him..." he says confused.

Athena looks at the masked boy unable to invade his mind, she looks at Matthew and as telepathic conversation with him getting everything Matt knew about Red X, "How did you activate the security system and why do you wish to help us?" Athena questions, she didn't like the fact that she wasn't able to hear his thoughts and didn't trust the masked mystery guys sudden appearance just after Katarina's burglary.

The girl had stood and pressed the back of her chair to the wall. Gathering a few of the files, she moved to exit her room. The door opened for her and she walked on down the hall, heading toward the main room of the tower. She ignored any and every body in the way there, it was clear she was not the type to enjoy small talk and only looked at the bigger picture. As the girl walked, she thought to herself about what to say. She also wanted to ensure that she was close to Athena when she managed to relay the information, but only past experience of the two would give any hint toward why. Her steps seem rather meaningful, not slouched but rather moving with a sense of purpose.

The girl passed into the living quarters of Titan's Tower and her left hand had pressed to the wall, almost as if to use it as leverage to swing herself around inside of the room. She walked toward the computer where Red X, Tech, and Athena all waited. She ignores anyone else on the way there, as if she cared little for their existence. The moment she reached the desk, her right hand came down with a sudden 'thud' sound. She slapped a pile of files onto the nearest solid platform such as a desk to show it to them. The second she does, her lips part and for the first time for many, she speaks. Her voice is not vicious, nor is it soft. It is a light voice, one of a young girl but perhaps with maturity in her. There is a strong heated sensation, as if determination burned in her words even the most simple of them.

"His name IS Red X." The girl says with a certainty, holding the file open to show images of the masked man in the tower. It has photographs of known equipment and notes on the previous Titan's encounters with him. "The original Titan's knew him, the one that got away. His true identity is a complete secret." The girls words seemed to come smoothly off her lips, she showed no hesitation in any of her words and spoke with a certainty. Her eyes glance to X, ensuring her claim. Then she turned her eyes to Athena, then to Tech. She awaited a response and as she did, her hands became fists that pressed to the file. There were certain... habits. Ones that the new "Titans" had that this girl didn't like at all. Both Athena and Tech had habits that drove her mad, but none more then Athena. She had no problem with the girl personally, but her instantaneous anger always came tearing out the moment that habit emerged in the girls face.

Before Olli had the chance to ask when he could come train at Titan's Tower, Athena left him saying that she'd be in touch. And just like that, the day was back to normal. All the guards that were taken down by Kat were out of sight somewhere; the alarms had been shut off for a while now, as were the flashing lights; and everyone else was going about their business as if nothing had happened.

It stunned the boy. He was standing in the middle of the hall, dirt stains on the customary white Star Labs lab coat, trying to figure out if what he saw with his own two eyes really happened. He walked back to his desk at the entrance of the lad in a sort of daze.

Had he really met a girl who could fly and read minds? Had a thief who could teleport from one place to another really steal something from the hi-tech lad he was employed at? Was he really invited to the Titan's giant T-shaped based to learn how to use his power? He shook his head to clear it.

Looking down at his lab coat again and seeing the dirt smears from when he dodged out of the way of an attacking Titan, he knew it was true. And just before everything happened, he had been complaining to himself how boring his life was. He began to chuckle to himself at the ironic thoughts and felt his kidneys about to burst. He remembered that he was on his way to the restroom when everything started. He got back up and headed that way again. He was pretty sure that time around, he was going to be able to go in peace.

Kaine went to his room. Things were boring here and he better related to things that didn't have the capacity to talk and simply made silent things that could. He sighed at the failed venture which was his 'hero life'.. Despite the difficulty the others managed to keep going.. He drifted into thoughts of a time far from the present.. The admiration of the people, free pizza.. Beating villains alongside guys like superman and maybe even animal man.. Wow that would be cool. He shook his head as if trying to dislodge such a dream form his head. Screw it.
Being social was too hard. Being 'good' was too hard. It was much easier just blowing warlords out of their bunkers, instigating revolutions..or crushing them. He also thought about the money he used to get..damn he missed the money.
Kaine spoke in a low voice "hello...I'm going to leave if anyone wants to stop me..no?...okay."
His armor opened up letting out a high pitch humming sound until he jumped inside. It hugged every inch of his body until fully closed. It felt like another layer of skin. "well off I go!" the back of his suit started to glow before a loud 'Boom' shook the room, the wall now missing and portions of the room now on fire. 'eh if someone can set fire to the hallway then I can burn my room' he took off flying into the city.
"I wonder what Gotham is like.."

Snows eyes looked to Nova as she passed in silence. Only her eyes followed Nova into the main room to the others, remaining silent herself. She did not wish to talk to Snow so why bother speaking first? There was no real reason to. Snow pondered a moment on Novas lack of verbal communication when it did not need to be there and it made her smile just a bit. Nova was like her. At least in that aspect. She did not talk much unless to answer direct questions or say something she felt needed to be said. The whole 'Speak when spoken too' aspect of her youth forever present in her mind.

As Nova began to speak to Athena about Red X Snow pushes off the wall of the Hallway and walks over to stand behind and to the side of Nova, remaining silent as always. Perhaps Nova would make an interesting Friend. Someone who did not bother with pointless banter. She had nothing against the girl nor did she think Nova had anything against her in return. Snow stepped forward a bit, careful not to touch Nova as she leaned around her to see the files. So this guy was once with the Titans? No it seemed more complicated than that. Snow looked from the Files to Athena, then Matthew, Red X, then Nova. Nova seemed Hotter then the rest of them. Literal heat. Being so close made her slightly uncomfortable but her curiosity made her look back to the files.

Snow was reading what she could of the open files until a loud Boom shook the Tower, making her look from the files and down the hallway from which she and Nova just came from moments ago. A bomb? An attack? Was that Ghost woman back to torment them again? Snow moved around Nova again to look down the hallway. She stopped just short of leaving the room and looked to Athena as if waiting for an order.

X looked over as he saw Athena float in, and immediately felt an odd tickle in the back of his mind. This sensation told him the girl was a telepath, trying to read his thoughts, to which he responded by focusing on one image to block her out. Like a wall, this image formed and settled into his subconcious, further preventing her from prying where she had no business. "A guy can't offer his contribution to prove he deserves to be part of something good?" he asks, his left hand moving behind the chair casually as he narrows his eyes at Athena, "You could trust I got it from a reliable source, or else it wouldn't have worked at all." He looks over at the screen, showing the adjustments Matthew had made.



"So you're the head of this ragtag group," X continues, looking back at Athena. Before he can speak again, however, his eyes widen as Nova slams some files onto console. He looks at the fiery girl as she reveals the history of the suit which he was currently wearing, his left hand quietly gripping a red shuriken that formed in his palm. While they all listened, he chips away the ice on his cape.

Then the tower shudders. "This'll have to wait," he says, any hint of humor in his synthesized voice gone as his right hand taps on the keys, revealing a cross section of the tower, where a portion of it was flashing red in alert. "Move Titans," he calls out, his hand moving from the console to his belt and tapping the button in the middle, "I'll meet you there." His image distorts before vanishing without a trace.

He reappears outside of Kaine's room, waiting for the door to slide open with shuriken gripped in his left hand ready to throw. He lowers the throwing star after seeing there was no need for it, wandering into the destroyed portion of the tower and stamping out some of the smaller fires. With that done, he walks to the undamaged wall and leans against it to wait for the others. "Guess that's one off the list."

Athena looked at Red X not sure what to think, was he just helping or did he have a secret agenda. The telepath was almost enraged by the fact that she was not able to read the guys mind. Just as Athena was about to say something Nova comes into the room and slams down her hand with a file in it, Athena immediately begins to read the fire brands mind out of habit, she didn't go deep but just scanned the top layer of her thoughts but she discovered Nova's hatred of this and pulls back and lets her explain. Athena looks to Red X ready to slam him to a wall if he tried anything but she was interrupted by a loud crash and the whole tower shaking. It seemed that the boy took the sudden explosion to take the heat of himself and even had the gull to try and order the Titans to follow, she knows that the Titans are all looking at her and she motions them to follow him to what seems like Grimm's room.

Matthew is having more fun then he'd like to admit but there was so many things that were now open, whoever this Red letter guy was just saved him countless hours trying to crack encoded passwords. Tech was so zoned that he hardly even reacted to Nova's little dramatic entrance, he glances at the file then his eyes quickly went back to the computer until the tower shakes and a damage warning popped up on the monitor stating that there was damage to one of the walls in Grimms room. Tech got up and followed behind the others and hoped that Grimm was alright.

Katarina washed up, changed her now shredded clothes, and relaxes on her giant bed for a few minutes before becoming bored. She gets up and throws on a light jacket before heading out, she nodes to the doorman of the up scale apartment as she leaves and is met with a kind smile. Kat walks down to a little coffee shop, the best in town and it was the perfect place to get in some good people watching. She orders her usual cup of hot chocolate mixed with french vanilla cappuccino and takes a seat in the back of the shop that has a perfect view of the entrance and begun to watch the people that walked in.

Snow still waited even as Red X vanished towards the noise that shook them all. Her blue eyes locked on Athena for any kind of Order and ignoring what Red X ordered in her place. She knew who their Leader was. She knew who pulled her away from the darkness of being no where to the brightness of being somewhere. Part of something. Athena was her leader and at the moment had Snows respect. This Red X was new to her. She did not know him and already saw his barking of orders as Offensive though she didnt seem to show it.

At Athenas Order she turned and rushed down the hallway towards Grimms room. She planted both feet down just before the door, the ground beneath her feet freezing to allow her to slide the rest of the way with the Ice disolving only seconds after it was formed. Ice talons covered her hands and she stepped into the room to see the destruction. An entire wall was missing showing the world beyond. She could feel the residual heat left over from fires that were once ignited here but seemed to be gone. Snow looked side to side until she found Red X. Upon seeing him she took a step further into the room, her bright blue eyes locked upon him, being the only one in the room at the moment, and holding her usual bland expression.

What was this guy up to?

X stood against the wall with his arms folded across his chest, tapping his foot to the seconds that passed as he waited for the others to arrive. He was a bit surprised when it was Snow to first turn up. He watched as the girl surveyed the room before stepping in, noticing the ice claws she had formed, and staring him down. Her face was stoic, but he knew she wasn't as emotionless as she let on. "You're fast," he said after a low whistle of appreciation, pushing off the wall and walking towards her, lowering his arms to his sides. He stopped a few feet away and stood there staring back at her for a moment before leaning his head in and narrowing his eyes at her. "Like what you see?"

Snow, speaking in her usual bland tone,

"I was already in the hall when the order to go was given."

As he stepped forward Snow remaing unmoving, though her eyes didnt leave him. Her head tilts slightly at his question.

"You wear a mask. How would I know?"

"Some chicks dig masks, dollface," he replies with a small laugh as he straightens up and takes a step back. He raises his arms up shrugs. "Took a liking to it, myself, or I wouldn't be wearing it." With that he turns around, walking back over to the wall and resuming his leaning posture, looking at Snow for a moment longer before turning his eyes to the door, waiting for the others to arrive.

Athena and Matt enter the room at the same time to find Snow and Red X in an awkward stare off. The giant hole in the wall was hard to miss, Matthew grabbed his hair at the sight. The tech turns to a little screen and key pad and taps at the keys and a video plays showing that Grimm himself.had made the hole, there were security cams in every room that everybody knew about that could only be watched inside the same room and the recording lasted 24 hours before deleting. "We'll we can rule out attacks..." He said angry that now he'd have to get this fixed.

Athena seemed a bit saddened she knew that she would never see Grimm again. The psychic quickly hides her sadness from her team not wanting to show any weakness, "It seems that Grimm has left us, it was best he'd abandon us like this rather then on the field." She said coldly.

"Is that what you get out of this?" X asks, watching the twins after his staring contest with Snow was over, "Don't you think you should be asking why he felt the need to leave in the first place? Not to mention the damage to the tower." He walks over to the gap, folding his arms across his chest and standing on the edge as the wind rushes by, causing his cape to billow out briefly. "Not a good sign for things starting," he muttered under his breath, narrowing his eyes as he stared out into the distance.

The girl remained in the main room to look around. It seemed everyone but her had left to go to where the explosion sound was. Her eyes glanced at the computer with interest. Nobody was using it now. Nova was a bit troubled by the teams whole commitment to investigating an explosion, especially when they have a psychic. There were many ways to scout out what happened without the entire team abandoning the computer. She ignored this and finally began gathering up the files again with a sigh. The information should be filed onto the computer again and reformat so they could update their information, but the girl was hardly a computer expert. She would have to wait for one of those others to come back. What a pain.

The tower's alarm suddenly went off once more. The girl's eyes had widened and she roared a flamethrower across the top of the supercomputer. She burped smoke afterward. Those who got to know her well would know she reacts negatively to surprise. After ejecting flames from her mouth, the girl tried to access the computer but it was clear there was a miserable problem going on with it. She seemed to bring up everything but the actual warning system. Finally, in anger, the girl gave a hard punch to the controls. A three dimensional map of Jump City appears on the screen. A red dot is seen over the map at what appears to be a bank on the east side of the city. The girl takes a few steps back from the computer and watches, as if in amusement. A bank? Originality must not be one of their strong suits. The girl decided to wait there until the others returned. If she went on her own, she knew that Athena would try to read her mind to figure out what was going on.

Olli's shift was over 30 minutes ago and he was at the bank trying to cash his check. Jump City National Bank was only half as crowded as it usually was an hour before closing. Olli thought that it was his lucky day. He'd be out of the bank before 6 pm. He was smiling to himself, remembering the work day and what happened.

A little boy, who was no more than three or four years old, was standing next to Olli with his mother. The boy was staring at Olli with his finger in his nose while the mother held his other hand. The person in front of the woman was a middle aged man who was doing his best to flirt with the young, attractive teller while she counted his money. The old lady in front of Olli was sputtering something about not knowing that she needed an id card to get her own money out of the bank. The teller she was speaking to was looking exasperated. There was also an elderly security guard loudly snoring in a chair next to the entrance/exit of the bank.

Olli was thinking how stupid it was of the bank to hire such a frail looking man when the doors to the bank were blasted open. The old man in the chair was knock out of it and Olli and the lady and her young son were knocked back by the blast and dust. With the little boy screaming out of fear and the dust hampering everyone's eyesight, Olli could only think of how he knew something like this would happen at the end of his day.

The explosion was so strong that it blew the entire front half of the bank apart, while no civilians were killed, many were injured and under debris from the destruction. Smoke was covering much of it and there were fires everywhere, hindering vision. The sound of a woman screaming and a man chuckling loudly could be overheard. In only a few seconds after, a man in red spandex was running out toward the exit with two giant bags of what is assumed to be money over his shoulders. He shouted out with a cocky demeanor.

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Ya'll better work on your security, I ain't never had a job this easy!" The chuckling man's voice is a bit high and has a southern accent to it. He escapes the bank without issue and looks around for a get away. To on lookers, it might be clear that he had no clear plan of escape but to him there was no need for such a thing. Anything that got in his way, he'd blow up. He started running down the street to the right of the bank to what appeared to be a pick-up truck with a large explosive tank in it.

Athena stared at the back of X's head, he was lucky she didn't have laser eyes cause he'd fine a large hole in his skull. "You didn't know Grimm or his struggles to stay here, so don't act as if you know anything about us..." Athena says showing a bit of anger but was interrupted by the sound of the alarm system and the sudden stop of it. Athena turned to leave the room, "leave, we don't have time to deal with you, consider this your only warning."

Matthew had a pain look on his face, he rarely saw Athena angry and when she was it didn't end well for the person she was angry at. "Sorry guy she the boss lady so what she says goes..."Matthew says disappointed. Tech hits a button on the key pad and a giant metal panel slammed down covering the hole until Tech had time to fix it then followed Athena leaving Snow alone with Red X.

As the two walked through the hall Athena made a telepathic connection with Matt, ~The suit's technology, can you disrupt it if need be?~ Matthew thought for a second, ~Yeah, I could I felt a connection to it but I think it's powered by something really strong...the teleportation device would need a lot of energy.~ Athena nodded happy with the technopath's answer.

Entering the common room Matt let out a loud high pitched scream seeing the damage that Nova had caused, "M-My baby!" he says running to the super computer and checking if there was any damage to the software, seeing that there wasn't he scowls at Nova, "Your evil aren't you..." Athena ignores Matthew's girlish scream and looks at the warning on the screen, "a bank robbery, Titans Go!" she looks at the couch where Vex is still sitting and realizes he hasn't moved and was still rubbing his back where Ghost had reached in, she quickly scanned his mind and knew they had lost another Titan. Athena sighed and lifted of the floor ready to make her way to the bank when Tech stopped her, "Hey I made these communicators so you don't have to make a telepathic connection to speak to the team anymore," he says handing one to Athena and one to Nova still scowling at the fire binder.

Athena takes the communicator from Tech, "stay here for this one, make sure Red X leaves and coordinate from here." The Titan's leader flies out of the now open window and makes a b-line to the location the screen gave. Athena saw the damage to the bank and the people that were under the debris. Athena flew down and lifted the rubble off the people and made sure they were okay. she pulls out her new communicator, "Titans it looks like the criminal is on the move," she says. "I have vision on the guy via satellite, sending new coordinates now." he said .

X turned around as Athena spoke, watching her leave, before looking at Snow and Matthew. "She's got a point," He says, pushing off the edge. "See you later," he chuckles as the panel closes, blocking him from view. He closes his eyes, free falling for a moment before pushing the teleporter button, his image distorting and vanishing.

Snow watched in her usual silence as Matthew checked the Camera Feed. The Titans were dropping out faster then ice melts under a Summer sun at noon. She listened to the others speak and watched as Athena and Matthew left following Reds exit. Snow was once again left alone with no orders to follow. Her eyes went to the large plate that covered the hole for a moment before she looked to the Camera in the corner of the room, tilting her head slightly.

After a few moments she turns and makes her way out to the main hall where Matthew was at the computer. She said nothing but just looked at the monitor blinking at a certain location. Athena must have gone to the area. she double checked the location before she turned in silence and jumped out a window, forming Ice blocks at her feet and using them as jumping pedestals again. It took her a bit of time to get to the Location. A Bank. She wasnt given a communicator so she didnt get the message of what was going on. She landed at the bank and looked about. People chatted about a yougn girl who helped them out of rubble. Athena.

Snow walked over to them and said in her seemingly cold voice... "Which way did the girl go?" As soon as she got the direction she turned and ran off after Athena and the Bank Robber.

Olli was helping the people in the bank get out safely when he heard a familiar voice stating that whoever just blew the bank wide open was escaping. He looked at the few people who were in the bank and sized them up. No one was seriously hurt, not even the old man who was knocked out of his chair. When Olli realized this and got everyone calm, he ran out of the building.

There were a lot of people hurt. He heard sirens in the distance and knew that they would be able to do way more than he could. He was looking around for Athena after hearing her voice but instead saw the ice girl running through the air on some ice.

He was beyond relieved that he had decided to take his moped to work instead of the car as he was able to get it going almost instantly and race through all of the chaos that was going on. He kept his eye on the girl with the ice powers as much as he could while zig-zagging through traffic.

For someone who is running on ice, he thought to himself as he raced passed a vehicle whose oporator was giving Olli the finger, She's surprisingly fast.

Nova chucked the files aside and ran to the window after Athena and while Snow did. Rather then jumping gracefully, she seemed to hop out and fall. A few inches out of the window as she fell, her feet had pressed to the side of the tower. Friction was built up when suddenly-- Nova pushed off and her arms were flung back, releasing a flame that roared with fury equal only to her own. She was launched like a rocket to follow the directions she saw, only barely able to keep sight of the others as she flew.

The villain named Boomy had continued running even when the super powered vigilantes appeared. His face grew with a grim look, yet there was something not quite convincing about his apparent fear. Oh great, more Super Zeroes, just what I need! Boomy didn't wait for the heroes to catch up with him and he chucked both bags of money into the back of the truck. There's no way he'd be able to outrun them, so he knew he'd have to create some sort of distraction. The villain glanced quickly around in hopes of finding a decoy-- a building. A family. Perfect. He took a step from the truck and pointed both fingers at the building and shouted; "Boom!" The building by the bank suffered several quick explosions when he spoke. Debris fell from above toward a group; an older woman and two children. The woman took them close and ducked, unable to get out of the way fast enough. Boomy knew he'd have a perfect chance to get away now while the vigilantes were busy saving the innocents.

He was behind a pickup truck when another series of explosions rang out not twenty feet away from him and caused Olli to crash into the back of the truck in front of him. As the boy tumbled off of his already beat up moped, the scene completely froze in front of him in about a twenty foot radius in every which way.

The ear-splitting booms had caused a painful ringing in his ears, so Olli couldn't any type of noise and the only thing that he was focused on at the moment was two kids and their mother who were all frozen in a crouching position together with a giant chunk of brickwork frozen right over them. All Olli could see as he scrambled off the ground and over to the family was the look of sheer terror on both children's faces. He dived at the trio and managed to tackle all three out of the way just as the brickwork slammed onto the ground and shatter into smaller pieces.

One sharp piece grazed Olli's cheek, leaving behind a deep gash. He stayed splayed over the family to shield them as the rest of the debris crumbled around them. Another smaller but heavy piece of brickwork fell on Olli's leg he kept himself from screaming out because the two small children were already doing enough of that and he didn't want to add to it. When everything was finally settled, Olli quickly removed himself off of the family and asked the woman if they were all okay. She simply stared at him was a dirty face and teary eyes.

"Thanks to you," she struggled to say. The two little kids were coughing because there was so much dust but Olli could tell they were okay. He didn't realize that they were buried under the debris until he saw a streak of light and heard people screaming out to them.

"We're all okay," Olli shouted back.

"We'll have you outta there in a jiffy," a gruff voice replied.

Olli looked up to see what he assumed was a corner piece of the building had fallen over them and shielded them from the remaining debris. He was extremely thankful for that because he was sure they were all going to be human pancakes otherwise.

"It's going to be okay," Olli cooed to the two children as their mother was trying to get them to calm down. "We're all going to be fine. They'll have us out of here any minute now." He let out a big sigh. What else could happen this day?

Suddenly the cracks of light took on a blue hue color and it began to get colder. The bricks started to frost over until everything but Olli and the family was covered in ice.

Snow stood there, palms outwards to the Debri that englufed the people beneath. Her face looked strained and a bead of sweat came to her temple as she had coated a large looking shell of ice with the bricks and rubble within. She twisted her hands to have her palms upwards and then with arms shaking began to lift them upwards. With this motion the Ice Shell began to lift upwards at an angle, keeping the extra rubble from falling on them more but also allowing space for them to crawl out. She wasnt actually lifting the Ice physically just manipulating the Ice mentally to do what she wanted. She looked to Olli and the family and spoke in her normal bland tone but this time with soem added strain..

'It is not a good time for Hide and Seek. But I found you anyway.'

Her actions were followed by gasps and awe of the peopel around her as she helped these folks out from the dangerous rubble.

Boomy continued moving now, convinced that there would be no way for them to be able to catch him. He ran for the door of the truck but was cut off by a roaring flame being tossed from atop his truck. "Holy hair on a cowboy, what in blazes--" Boomy had stumbled back from the flame to see a girl standing in the back of his truck. "Well hello there cutie" The girl slid her feet and rotate her body clockwise to swing a leg toward him, but they were distanced. Boomy didn't know what to expect but when the girl finished the kick, a wave of flame came crashing down toward him. Boomy's eyes were wide and he dove out of the way away from the truck and the flame. Nova wasted no time with this and grabbed both bags of money tightly, turning her body left to chuck the right handed bag and right to chuck the left handed bag. Both bags were sent off the way they came with impressive strength. They would crash into the ground and roll across it toward one of the other Titan's just making it onto the scene.

Boomy managed to recover and sit up in time to see Nova swing a foot back in the truck, as if a bull preparing to charge. Flames had just released from the soul of her foot and traveled across the back of the truck, igniting the explosive canister.

BOOM!

With Nova's arms being swung back and creating the same means of transport, she is launched away as the explosion erupts from the truck, destroying it and leaving a small crater. The explosive force from the truck was enough to send Boomy back even while distanced. The girl seemed to have some level of understanding that they weren't trying to kill him, as she saved him from suffering a fate from her last action.

When Boomy once again recovered in time to look up; he met Nova's legs which kicked him strongly back across the ground. Considering the nearby ice element vigilante and the approaching psycho leader; it was ensured. Boomy was trapped between three of the Titans with no where to go. With his get away vehicle destroyed, he wouldn't be able to escape. The only way for him to escape now would be succeeding in-- WHOA! Without warning an explosion erupted against the ground beneath Nova's feet, sending her flying. backward. She had gasped, realizing through the smoke that the villain had somehow caused it, but was unsure how. Boomy turned from facing her with a smirk and tried to run off past the building that he had previously attacked with his powers.

While Snow was lifting the Ice dome to allow the people beneath to get free of the Rubble she looked to the side to see Boom running in their direction. She pulled one hand from control of the Dome and it haulted in its rise and came back down an inch causing her to fall to one knee in an effort to keep it up. Her now free hand is pointed out into Booms path and with a burst of Ice, freezes the path infront of him in an attempt to make him slip and fall or perhaps just slow him down. Her task was the help these people and she would have to leave Boom to the others for now.

The villain fleed from the fire girl but encountered another problem. He slipped on the ice created by the snow girl. He comically slipped and slid across the ice, like in a cartoon. When it was over, he stood on the other side of the icy path and brushed himself off. "Well that's just distracting!" He shouted toward the ice girl.

Olli was grateful for the ice girl's help in getting them from under the debris. The dust was making it hard to breathe and the children were getting antsy. Making sure he was the last one out from under the now frozen and suspended brick dome, he gingerly stood to his feet just as a strangely dressed man cartoonishly slid past him and the ice girl. Olli quickly put two and two together and figured that the "ice-skating" guy was the one who was the cause of all of this.

He looked at the cold looking girl and back at the dude as he called out the rudeness of the classic "iced sidewalk." He actually looked like he was offended by what just happened. Olli wasn't tricked by the man's lack of aggressiveness. Something about the guy screamed "DANGEROUS." Maybe it was his careless attitude, which to Olli, seemed more than a little arrogant. Maybe it was all the seemingly random explosions that always just happened out of the blue. Shoot, it could he the way he's dressed, he thought to himself. Who, in their right mind would go outside in such a stupid get up?

Shaking the thought out of his mind, he shouted to they crowd that had gathered, "GET OUT OF HERE OR HE'LL KILL ALL OF US!"

"Huh?" Boomy took notice suddenly of the boy who started screaming to everyone. A wannabe hero. Boomy smirked and he raised his hand to point it at the boy. With a confident smirk now he looked around. He wasn't afraid to execute a civilian and this kid was getting on his nerves with all his super hero wannabe'in. "Ya'll kiddies better give up now or else. Let me tell you what's gonna happen!"

Boomy keeps his focus on the kid. He wouldn't just blow the kid-up for no reason, he had a better plan. If anyone tried to make a go for him, he would have no problem at all doing a little killing. And no matter how fast they might be, his explosions are instantaneous. If any of them made a go for him-- they'd be the ones who kill the kid. "Ya'll gonna let me pick up my cash and leave, or I'm gonna blow up this here kid. And don't try to be all super hero on me cuz you might be fast-- but you ain't faster then the speed of sound!" Boomy began chuckling. He waited for their response.

Olli froze in place once the guy pointed at him. He's gonna blow me up, Olli repeated in his head. So he was the one that attacked the bank and almost killed that family. And now he's gonna kill me. Olli's face scrunched up at that thought. He was too young to die.

But besides that, he was pissed. This guy literally just robbed a bank and almost killed people just to get away. And he did it all with the use of explosions. Where they came from, Olli didn't know or didn't care. All that mattered was that this guy needed to be stopped. "Don't give him anything," Olli gritted through his teeth. His eyes narrowed at the spandex-clad man. He was shaking from the fear of dying but he was burning on the inside from sheer anger. This was going to end one way or another. The ice girl and Athena could take care of this guy with their eyes closed.

Then it hit Olli. He could protect himself and the fleeing crowd all at once. All he had to do was tap into the fear he was already feeling. That's seemed to be when his freezing power triggered. And with this guy pointing and threatening to blow him to Kingdom Come, Olli was feeling more than enough fear to activate his powers on command. All he had to do is keep the man focused on him. But how was he going to do that if the man was waiting on a reaction from the Titans?

Athena stood frozen between the mad bomber and the money and as of yet she hadn't done much to try to stop the criminal, however kept the damage to a minimum. Athena had not yet understood the man's powers, she could sense something was off about the explosion but what was it, she had scan the layer of his mind for more information but everything was jumbled and if she forced her way in she'd to permanent damage to the bombers mind. Suddenly she heard Matthew call out to her, ~Athena it was faint but after I recognized the explosion to be technology based I analyzed it and it's nano explosives and he detonates them some how most liking with a command,~ Athena quickly thought of several scenarios and made a strategy, Athena quickly made a telepathic connection with her team, massive brain freeze started welling up but she forced the pain down. Athena quickly relayed simple orders to her team, Nova was to knock the bomber off balance to give Snow the opportunity to freeze the man in a block of ice, lastly she made a connection with Oliver, ~stop him from speaking then get down~ then with out warning Athena used her powers to forcefully push Oliver back relying on his powers activating out of shock or fear, she knew that the boy had no control and would likely freeze them all but it would give him a change to quite the bomber so her team could act when his powers were deactivated.

Just as Olli was about to turn to look at Athena, who was speaking to him mentally, something push him back hard. His hands and feet flew out in front of him as he sailed back and everything in front of him froze. The people who were running from the scene stopped in place, the emergency vehicles sirens were silenced, and Boomy, himself, was frozen where he stood. The ice girl was apparently just out of reach of Olli's power as she was standing off to the side and a little behind him just when he was knocked back and she still had her movement.

Just before he hit the ground, Olli felt something cushion the fall and that left him unharmed. He looked back and saw Athena floating in the air. He figured it was her who just knocked him back. He was surprised at first but figured she was trying to make use of his powers. He'd ask her after this was all over. But as of right now, he stood back up and limped behind a nearby car, taking cover as the psychic instructed, as his leg was still hurt from the debris that had fallen on it. He would have to get it checked out when all this was over.

But for now, he was in the middle of counting how long his freeze lasted. He started as soon as it happened and continued, "...8, 9, 10, 11..." And just like that, everything regained it's motion instantaneously. The fleeing people were running as if they weren't just frozen; the sirens were blaring again; and Boomy was standing there, still pointing. However, he no longer had a target with Olli now behind the car. His own ability reminded Olli of someone pressing "pause" and "play" on a VCR.

snow flinched as Boom said he would blow people up and she slowly raised her hands as if backing down. Just then she got the mental orders from Athena and it was up to them all, as a team. She waited for Nova to knock the guy off balance. She had already tapped into the sheet of ice that was still on the ground. It would be easy to make it grow around the man but if he saw it coming could just blow it up before she could fully encase him. As she thought about this she flinched as Olli was thrown back, but then her attention went to her surroundings. Everything had frozen. Oh crap! What did she do! She began to mentally freak out, having never done something like this... then she heard Olli counting and when he said 11 everything began again and Olli stopped counting. It was him. She gave a mental sigh of relief, now knowing her powers were not on the fritz. The entire time a part of her attention remained on Boom though, never letting the man out of her mind during the fight. She waited on Nova now, her hands still in the air and her mind on the ice that lay around Boom.

Boomy had begun blinking his eyes. What is this, the villain thought. He realized something changed, but wasn't immediately aware of it. As he came out of the freezing effect, he quickly attempted to gain an understanding of what had happened. Nobody attacked him. Good. It was clear to Boomy that the Titan's might be super powered but they were still just novices at their teamwork. The moment that he was free of the freeze effect, he tried to capture an understanding of what was going on around him. He still didn't know exactly what happened to him but before he could recover from the unfreezing, he was faced with an aerial attack. Holy--! A sudden kick from Nova through the air, it was sent high enough off the ground to strike at Boomy's head. The kick wasn't intended to kill him, but it would have devastating effect clearly. The girl wasn't used to holding back. Without wasting time, he ducked her kick and jumped away from her with a light stumble, but she was persistent. With Nova dropping from the kick, she pressed to the ground and launched herself forward.

Nova pursued Boomy in an attempt to continue their battle. Boomy pointed at her and with each point, started setting off explosions. Nova jumped from side to side to evade the explosions, ensuring that she took no direct damage from any of his attacks. Despite her dodging, Nova continued suffering indirect damage as a result of the explosions. Her mind isn't so much on the fight as on the obstacle course in the titans tower. The fight reminded her of it. Obstacles that she had to evade as she pursued her prime directive. As Nova came upon Boomy, she threw quick thrusts with her hand. She made her hand like a blade, fingers held out straight as if to stab him. Boomy tilted his body and dodged her hits barely while backing. Nova's hits weren't well tamed, she was using a style that focused on close range combat rather then manipulating her fire. It was clear she wasn't trying to flay him alive. As Boomy's back moved to the wall, he realized he was being lead into a trap. He pulled back on his hesitation and thrust his hands out in an attempt to destroy the girl. Nova could smell the approaching heat from the explosion, she realized that the explosions were not produced from nano-transmissions but from his own body. This would have to be added to a file about him in the future. Nova's eyes widened and her hands came forward, she let her mind slow down the battle for her. Nova caught Boomy's wrists and she pulled her arms to the right then rotated them upward. With her hands holding onto his arms, his control was shifted and instead of aiming at her, he aimed at wherever she directed his arms. At the time that Boomy's ability activated, the explosion was sent up and fired as nothing more then an empty explosive way far off into the sky. Nova held Boomy's hands up with a tight grip to ensure that he couldn't blow anything up and she shouted quickly with irritation at Snow; "Now!"

Snow kept track of Boomys every movement, shifting her incredibly thin layer of ice in response to his steps. She had to wait for Nova to get him of Balance. She twitched when Nova kicked at him and made him stumble back and she was about to go then but Nova kept up the attack. Perhaps Nova was getting really into it or she didnt think it was enough. So Snow waited longer. She started to get worried, though it didnt show on her face, as Nova kept taking the hits from the explosions though she never took one directly. Snow was very close to trying to stop him at this point as well, not wanting Nova to get hurt more but then Nova gripped his wrists and sent his last explosion into the sky. 'Now!' Nova cried. Snows eyes widened and her hair instantly froze, her eyes glowing blue. She could send spikes up from all directions to take Boomys life... But that wasnt what a Titan would do. The Thin sheet of ice got thicker from beneath Booms feet and began to rise upwards, to twist around his legs, torso, his arms and even a bit started to cover his head but stopped after it covered his mouth so he would not be able to speak. She hoped Nova would let Boomy go as the ice kept creeping up Boomys arms until it covered around his hands. The ice at his feet began to widen to create a very thick and heavy base while the ice around his hands began to thicken as well. If Boomy tried to use his explosions he would more then likley lose his hands since the explosion would have no where to go.

Nova held her hands at Boomy's wrists to keep his arms still until he was completely frozen. As the ice continued over his hands, Nova's hands heat up enough to melt their way back out of the ice. She took enough steps back so that she could get a clear sight of the frozen artwork. Nova glanced toward Snow with a serious look. Everything about her read serious, though not in an angry way. It was as if she didn't know how to smile. This made the next words that came out of her mouth...

"This is the ugliest piece of art that I've ever seen". Her words were delivered calmly and casually. By her tone, it couldn't be determined if she was trying to be funny or if she was genuinely expressing her disdain for the sight of it.

Olli made his way over from behind the car and simply stared at the frozen man. He looked around the impromtu battleground and his eyes rested on the family that he protected from the blasted building. They were standing off to the side while watching everything. The little boy was looking Olli straight in the eys and then smiled at him. Olli couldn't help but goofilly grin back at the boy.

He had done good today. He made sure that the people in the bank were okay after this strangely dressed man blew the bank up. He saved the lives of three people with the help of his power. And he also helped distract a bad guy who not only threathend his life, but also robbed a bank.

Olii felt pretty accomplished. He looked at all three Titans and smiled. Now if he could only get to an ambulance. His leg was killing him.

Snow looked to Nova as she spoke and Snow replied with her usuall emotionless expression and tone. I could make it into a Swan if that would be more to your liking. Snow swirled her hands adding more Ice to the Boomy sculpture. Swan wings grew from his sides and where his hands were outstretched became the Swans neck. She looked back to Nova and her blande expression suddenly grew a tiny smile as her head tilted to the side.

The girls arms crossed and with an empty response, raised a hand to flick across her nose with a finger. After the reply back, she walked to Athena who she was sure was trying to think of something to respond with now. Nova wasn't a crime fighter, nor was she a genius. She was a Warrior. She wasn't used to fighting and arresting, she was used to slaying her enemies on the field. Cold ruthless logic stated that it would be better to kill the exploding man now while they had him, this would keep them from facing future fault with him.

She didn't even bother suggesting it.

Instead, she stopped with her side to Athena's side and spoke a few words. She said "We're vigilantes. We do what's right because we can. Don't bother trying to justify it to others."

Nova's words were a bit cold, given her heated abilities. She didn't bother with an explanation as she knew the longer she waited after speaking, the more opportunity she gave to Athena to try and pierce her mind. Nova's arms flung back and she launched herself into the air with flames erupting from her. Like a rocket, she sore through the sky on her way back to the Titan's Tower. She would know whether Athena understood her words based on how long it took for them to reunite at the tower. If she wasted the time to explain to someone how they did the right thing, she didn't understand. Nova's eyes had to be open to see where she directed herself in the air, she wasn't used to transportation like this. She wanted to close her eyes, the wind was hard on them. It might also have been the battle. What she faced. The criminal was frozen and when the authorities arrived, he would be taken to prison undoubtedly there would be witnesses all over. Their mission there was over, for now.

Athena silently nodded at Nova's commit then heard the firebrand take off like a jet, most likely home bound. The psychic floated to the frozen villain ignoring Snow and Oliver for the time being, she raises her hand to the middle of the mans forehead, physical contact would make navigating his mind much easier. Athena reached far within the bombers mind with a specific goal in mind, to force him to forget his powers. This ability could only be used when she was touching her target and it was only temporary he would eventually relearn to use them but the procedure could be done again.

Athena lowered her hand from Bomby's head then looked him square in the eye, "I've taken your powers away, temporarily, you are powerless so do yourself a favor and do not resist arrest." Police cars started to arrive at the scene and approached cautiously, Athena turns to Snow, "unfreeze him they can handle it from here...and nice job go head back to the tower, I'll be back soon." The moment that Boomy was released from the ice he would be in cuffs and if he'd try to use his powers he would find nothing would explode.

The Titan's leader finally made her way to Oliver and a faint smile could be seen on her lips, "you did well and with a little training you could be a Titan." Athena looks over the boy and he is covered with dust from the fallen walls and his leg looked injured. "If you'd like I can take you to a hospital to get checked out." Athena says then offers her hand to Ollie if he'd wished for her to fly him.

As she looked him over, Olli had a feeling that Athena was sizing him. She said he'd make a good Titan. That was all he heard. His head started forming images of battles that were being fought- some of them where the Titans were losing until Olli heroically showed up just in the Nick of time, said a few witty things to the bad guy, and froze them where they stood. The Titans then took advantage of this and proceeded to take the villains out and all of the on-lookers started to applause. They then started to chant his name, "Olli! Olli! Olli! HURRAH!!!!!!" The thought of that made him cheese. Hard.

When he re-focused back on Athena, he really saw the girl for what seemed like the first time. She looked pretty serious. And not just because she offered him some help. Her face was that of a teenaged girl and still had some child-like qualities to it-the subtle roundness of her face, the tainted innocence in her eyes- but it also showed a forced upon maturity that made Olli think of the type of life she, and the rest of the Titans for that matter, lived.

He lived with his parents, who were very present in his life. He still had a curfew, still had to let his parents know where he was going and who he was going with. He would still get grounded if he broke some type of rule. But they were his parents and that was their job. To raise him right and teach him right from wrong and protect him when needed.

They were completely oblivious to the real dangers that were now going on. Olli, himself, was too until earlier in the day. But what about the Titans? Who looked after them besides each other? Did they have parents to question. Where they were going? Who they were hanging out with? Did someone cook them breakfast every morning? The boy really doubted it. He had a feeling that almost no parent around would let their child live such a life as the Titans did.

He looked at his dust covered clothes. Then he looked around him and saw all the damage that was done by one guy. He felt his leg, which was hurting like holy hell. Is this the life he wanted now? Just this morning, he was thinking how boring his everyday life was. How nothing exciting ever happened. And all of a sudden, he was witnessing a superpowered thief battle a group of superpowered teens on the roof of his job; saving a family from an exploding building; almost getting killed by spandex-clad, superpowered bank robber and helping take him down; and now being told that he would make a good a good Titan himself.

That was a pretty far cry from having a boring life. "I'd much rather see where you guys live so I can take you up on that offer on teaing with my power," Olli answered. "That way, I could help you guys out in the future if you really need and want me." That was all he could say. He could go to one of the many ambulances present and get his leg checked out. But he wanted to make sure that he had a way of keeping in contact with the Titans or at least knowing how to get to their giant T-shaped base that was on an island in the middle of the river. It would also give him time to think about what he truly wanted. Such decisions were meant to be made just like that. He'd sleep on the idea of him joining the Titans. He wasn't asked but he was pretty sure it was an option.

Snow nodded to Athena and with a snap of her finger the ice that covered Boomy shattered into dust, falling around his feet before swirling like a small vortex and moving to Snow. It solidified infront of her feet like a stepping stone and with a final nod to Athena she stepped onto the ice pedestal and let it take her back to the Tower.

Once back at the Tower, Snow made her way to the Training room. For some reason she felt as if she didnt get much anger out of her system and the need to smash some of Techs stuff felt like a good way to relax for the time.

Snow entered the Training Room and went to the console, typed in a few settings, and hit start.

The door closed behind her.

"What do you think you're doing.." The sound would echo at Snow's ears. The fiery voice from before, the girl from both the living room and the battle who rarely if ever had any encounter with Snow. Nova looked back at Snow with her eyes full of an empty glare. Her words did not reflect her feelings; instead it was her physical form that gave off her means. Her fists were clenched. Her back was turned. She had one eye on Snow with her head turned enough to see her. Nova was in the room as well, appearing to have been training, having arrived earlier and also gone straight to training. The two girls shared a thought.

The chemistry between Snow and Nova was both predictable and surprising. Predictable; Both of them were silent much of the time, both were young, both were elementals. Surprising; Nova was fire, Snow was ice. The two were opposites in some regards and kin with another.

The audacity to think that someone would interrupt her training. Nova had no choice but to confront this girl. It would grant her an understanding of where they stood as well as give her a chance to see the level of another titan. The only other Titans she ever had the company of was Tech; who she was irritated by due to his constant loud mechanical repairs. And Athena; who wouldn't leave her mind. With two out of four on her list of irritants, she had to assume this one would be the same. So her hostile approach was predictable.

Snow came to a stop as she took in the sight of the Training room and Nova standing there in a training session. She was mildly surprised by the hostility in Novas voice though her face didnt give that away, bland as usual. Snow stared at Nova a moment, the akward silence growing between them before she finally spoke up. Sorry. Was all she said in her colorless tone. Without another word and a mental check of frustration she turned back to the console and lifted a hand to open the door.

She stopped again.

With a glance back to Nova a thought occured. They had the same idea to come to train after the mission. They seemed to think the same at least in that regard and it made Snow curious, or at least more so, about Nova. Her hand fell away from the console and she moved slightly to stand at a sideways angle to Nova. Is your mind set on a Solo session, content with fighting predictable machines? Though her tone remained empty her words may be construded as a challenge to one like Nova. To herself it was a simple question, never meaning to be hostile. But to Nova? Who knew how she would take it.

Nova's eyes grew wide but not with surprise and as they narrowed again, flames burst from her skin in small amount. The scene could be described like the occurrence if one were to poke at a fire with a stick, a few flickering sparks coming out from the fire. Nova tested her ground. "What do you propose?" She said with a careful tone. She made like an animal. A careful predator. She pressed on Snow's ground to test her, see how far she can go. If Snow backed down, she was nothing but prey. One that Nova could easily hunt down and destroy. If she held her ground, she could make for a strong hunt. Perhaps more.

Snow seemed to stand straighter as Novas fire flared up at her proposal. A person is more unpredictable then machines. Her empty tone rang as her clothes started to gather frost. What would happen if these two got into it? Fire and Ice clashing. Would the training room survive? Would Tech be pissed? The corner of her mouth twitched towards a smirk. That idea amused her. Little Tech raging at all the equipment destroyed, not because people used it, but because of two Titans over doing it. If we knew each others strengths and weaknesses it would be benificial to us during actual missions. It would make us a stronger team. It was odd to hear logic come from someone who seemed uncaring about everything. As Snow stood there, watching Nova, her words became just that. Words. Words that were used to rationalize what she wanted. To release stress. To destroy something. To fight all out and not hold back.... To try new things. She then turned fully to face Nova. How about it?

"One on One spar, no holding back..?" Nova didn't show the same signs of enthusiasm in a smirk; instead, her teeth clenched. When her teeth clenched in that way, flames burned through them as if she was trying to hold back fire from erupting from her mouth. She was excited to finally be able to let loose. She turned to face Snow and backed away. Their battle was now unavoidable; a clash of the elements was going to happen and nothing could get in their way. Anything that did, would get burned alive, frozen over, then melted by flames once more.

Snow watched as Nova began to back away. Good. It was decided. Snow remained where she was while Novas flames began to churn about. No holding back. she repeated. Frost shot down her shirt sleeves as her hands erupted into large Ice Claws. Her hair started to ice over as the temperature around her began to drop below zero. As the freezing air crept forward it met with Novas own heated area, the spot where the two met begining to steam. Without another word or another moment passed Snow threw her arms out, flash freezing large chunks of ice and throwing them towards Nova. Her ice was highly concentrated and takes incredible heat to melt. A chunk of her ice would survive undamaged in the hottest desert on Earth. However she knew that Novas heat, if generated hot enough, could melt what she dished out.

Nova took a forward step and quickly raised her fists. She began throwing out quick jabs with flames bursting from her knuckles to counter the chunks of ice. As her flames hit it, the ice melted away to water and as her body heat rised; it evaporated to steam. Nova leaned to take a handstand on the ground and she swung her legs around, kicking the air. Flames burst from her feet that warped around like a rapid gust of wind; an expanding wave of fire. This would expand out and burn everything around her as it passed into Snow's domain. The fire goes wide, ensuring that she can't step aside. Because Nova kicked from a handstand position, her arms were susceptible to a ground attack but the wave of fire was both low and high enough to keep Snow from being able to jump or duck it with ease. It was a test; one to ensure that her opponent knew tactic.

Snow raised a slight brow at the heat Nova generated. She was not surprised. What surprised her was the quickness the heat turned her ice into steam. Overall it did not bother her. She made a mental tag on that as her eyes focused on the flames that licked towards her. The air around her began to be sucked towards her, the flames Nova lashed out with leaning in with the moving air. She stood still, the flames getting closer and closer until she let out all that air into a frozen torrent. It blew through the twisting flames leaving Ice in its place. It took a great deal of cold to flash freeze flame. She threw her arms out and the frozen flame shattered to dust before it swirled around her and into the air. She lifted up one leg and stomped it downwards and upon contact with the ground a line of ice erupted from the ground as jagged spikes, growing quickly towards Nova. Her brow furrowed as she concentrated, Novas fire melted and evaporated her ice quickly. However it couldn't melt it completely before she could make more spikes a step ahead of the melting ones. Nova was hot indeed but you need heat to make fire to begin with and Snow was slowly descreasing the temperature, absorbing the heat around her and expelling a below zero Aura.

Nova took a deep breath and pulled her arms in. The girl thrust them out and let loose a flame like jets from her arms to send her flying back. She used this to her advantage to gain more distance while the flames burned at the ice to keep it from reaching her. Even if the flames didn't evaporate the ice as water, keeping the spikes from touching her was enough. Once she got far back enough, Nova held an arm out. Her palm open. She drew her hand to the side and seemed to stroke the air. Flames were being brought around her at an accelerated rate. Her eyes closed. Nova was being encased in a burning cocoon of flames. The sight of it would blind Snow to the girl inside of it.

Once inside the cocoon, the intense heat only raised. It filled her lungs with a fire and made her resilient. The fire evolves to a miniature super nova that, because of the intensive heat, burns away at the ground and any other solid structure nearby. The heat expands from the fire and would counter the ice but at a decreased space. Nova only controlled a 4th of the field now.

From inside of the cocoon, she continued her movements. Nova thrust both of her hands out to the inside of the flame cocoon and thin blades of fire rushed out from it to tear across the structure they stood on. While the heat might have been removed from around her, Nova kept the ground heated with her own reserves. The flames that ran across the ground toward snow would work both to attack her and tear up the structure, giving her less control of the field. A cold tactic; If you can't have it, make sure no-one else can.

Snow stood there as the flames began to tear towards her. She slowly looked upwards to the ceiling. Above them was a cloud of white dust and steam that began to swirl. With each bit of Ice Nova destroyed it went up to accumulate. Her ice could never be truly destroyed. It was always under her control whether it was dust or ash it was still a part of her. It all began to condense above her as Nova destroyed more and more of her ice with the flames that destroyed the field. It curled around in the air above her head and as Snow lifts her hands up she shoots out two large spikes into the mass and the entire thing freezes into a very large, very dense chunk of ice. If Nova was going to pull out all the stops then she would too. She threw her hands down to the ground and the giant ball of super dense ice fell to the ground but not towards Nova. It landed on her! With a crash the floor cracked where Snow once stood and the ground froze over as well as the wall behind the chunk. This ice was pressed together with all of Snows physical might and it now encompassed her. Because of its solidity the fire that lapped at her couldn't melt it but neither could the ice do anything to the fire. It gave off no cold what so ever but the surface was so cold it was as if it was from a sunless word. Snow was no where to be seen from within the chunk of ice or around it.

Athena's smile widen at the boy's answer, she hadn't read his but she knew that was what he was going to say, Athena flipped her hand around so that her palm was facing Oliver, they both slowly lifted off the ground so that Ollie wouldn't freak out. Athena began to fly forward pulling Ollie with her toward the tower at first she started slow then began to speed up. All Athena could think about was that silly movie that she had watched years ago about a poor boy that finds a genie and takes the princess for a carpet ride, she hid her red cheeks and dismissed the thought as a childish thought and cleared it from her mind leaving her face emotionless.

The two land on the tiny island on the bay the giant T was in the middle and hard to miss, "Well this is home for the Titans," Athena says then leads the way to the front entrance. As they got closer the doors opened and lead into a giant hall.

Matthew had ordered pizza while the others were out but it seemed that the two girls didn't have enough action fighting the psycho bomber guy so they were fighting each other. The fight was displayed on the main screen in the common room and Matthew was relaxing in his chair eating a slice of pizza and drinking some soda while enjoying the fight, in secret he hoped that Snow would win mostly because Nova damaged some of his tech and a small part of him was interested in Snow. He doubt that the two Titans would get carried away and really hurt each other but just in case he had ways of stopping the fight if it came to that.

"They're really getting into it, huh?"

Red X strode over to the couch and vaulted over it easily to sit down beside Matthew, eyes on the screen as he watched Snow and Nova going absolutely nuts with their powers. "Sure you should be letting them go all out like that? No telling how well the tower can handle the strain."

Nova's eyes flared with that familiar heat of passion. She started forward as she broke from the sphere of flames. The flames trailed from her skin as she passed through and they seemed to rush toward her as they touched different parts of her body. Her arms were held back as if gripping something, both hands almost stacked as fists. Fiercely, she charged on toward the target with scorched footprints where she ran. As each stream of fire connected to her, it left an strange mark with different meanings into her skin. Nova reached Snow's ice form and she gripped the air with flames swirling about from between her palms. Nova brought her arms in the air-- a sudden flash of fire erupted from her.

Nothing but flames could be seen in the cameras and the loud explosion from the training room. As the explosion cleared; Nova could be seen pressed to the ice with a sword. A solid sword with uncertain fiery force within it. Her body was covered in a red armor with cloth wrapped around parts of it. She appeared differently. No sign of hesitation, no sign of doubt; she was full of confidence and determination. A wall of fire clashed with equal size to the icy defense left by Snow and the training room is quickly destroyed by their clashing force. Snow with her immovable defense, Nova with her unstoppable offense. The tower stands but the training room is clearly no more as the two forces clash.

Red X narrowed his eyes as he watched Nova emerge from her fireball, raising a hand to block of the sudden flash of fire consuming the screen. He was impressed that the cameras survived, though it was clear once the flames receded that they were probably the only things that did, besides Snow and her little fortress of solitude. His arm lowers while his eyes widen at the transformation the fiery girl had taken, the flames forming some kind of intricate armor around here, as well as giving her a solid weapon. He gave a low whistle of appreciation at the display.

Olli's mouth fell open the further he limped into Titan's Tower. He wasn't sure what to expect. The tower wasn't inconspicuous in the least so he figured that it wouldn't look too much like a secret base. But to see that it looked like some super modern hotel right off the cover of a magazine, he just stood there, mouth agape and eyes wide.

One section of the wall was nothing but a window with an impressive view of Jump City and the river. There was a gigantic computer that appeared to be melted on a top corner with some video playing; a kitchen off too the side of the room and right in the middle of the room was a long circular couch where the boy Olli recognized from earlier on the roof of his job was sitting with another weirdly dressed guy. They were both so engrossed in what they were watching, Olli doubted they knew he and Athena were there.

The room was plain but impressive. Mainly because Olli knew super heroes called it home. He looked back at Athena, "This is a cool place but could I maybe get a tour? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want me hobbling around unsupervised. I can almost guarantee that I'll break something."

X turns his head to the side, looking back as he heard Ollie speak and replying with a chuckle, "You wouldn't need to worry about that, kid. They're doing a pretty good job of breaking things on their own." He pushes himself off the ground, twisting in midair to sit on the top portion of the couch, eyes narrowing at Athena. "Let Tech show him around. You and I need to talk."

"Yeah it should be okay, that room is fortified..." Tech began to say then quickly turned his head to find Red X back in the tower.
"Ahh...!" Tech screamed and patted his chest, "Oh great another stalking butler...anyways I can press a button and this liquid...stuff will come down and expand on contact and pretty much stop them in their tracks." Just as Matthew finished speaking Nova had exploded in a flash of blinding light that made him cover his eyes, when he was able to look back at the screen he saw that the room had been destroyed making Tech scream again.

Athena saw the wonder in Ollie's face as they walked into the tower, she was too quiet impressed by the tower when she first walked into the tower but her good mood quickly turned when the tower was rocked from yet another explosion. Athena left Oliver as she floated passed the couch, she noticed Red X but chose to ignore him for the moment. Athena gave Matthew a look and was suddenly caught up to speed, Athena gave a sigh, it was like babysitting children some times. "Matthew take Oliver to the med ward and see what you can do for his leg then show him around, Red x... follow me you have 20 seconds." Athena ordered then began to float to the training room, it would take her 20 seconds to get there so Red x's time started 3 seconds ago.

Tech wiped away his tears, he would have to make more robots to keep up with the amount of destruction that the Titans did to their own home. "yeah okay," Tech said sadly. Matthew walked up to the boy with his head down, "Hello boy from the roof, my name is Tech Shock and I'll be your guide so follow me..." He walked down the hall and turned to an elevator door and pressed a button shortly after the doors open and Tech stepped into the elevator then waited for the injured boy.

The large Ice Block remained, black scorchs engulfed it but it seemed to remain intact. With the rest of the room destroyed to occured to Snow that it might be best if they halted, even if she was the one to say she was done. The tower might not be able to handle anymore. The top of the ice dome began to turn to dust, falling in piles around her. When the ice finally exposed her form she was sitting, curled into a little ball with her arms wrapped around her knees. Blue dust seemed to glitter from her form but as she stood Nova would see it wasnt dust. Her entire body had been encased in ice. She looked like a beautiful Ice Scuplture only a Master of the craft could produce. Dust sparkled around her as she stood making everything around her sparkle still. Perhaps we should stop for now. I do not think the Tower can take anymore of your raw power. The dust around them swirled like a vortex before disolving against her ice skin. When it was all gone her figure cracked and peices of ice fell from her body before disolving as well. Snow reached into her pocket and pulled out two suckers. She popped one into her mouth and offered the other to Nova. Tech is going to be upset.

"Exactly.." Nova said with a light smirk. The girl dropped her right arm to her side and both the sword and armor shattered into red lights that scattered around her. Nova returned to her regular clothes as she bowed her head to Snow before turning and walking to where the door was. The door, and nothing else. The door fell onto its back and Nova exited the room by walking over the door. She left and headed off toward her room.

Snow watched as Nova walked out of the destroyed Training room. After a moment she slowly turns her head to the camera high above them and just stared at it. As she stared at it frost began to cover the lense before it broke and Snow disappeared from the sensors.

Olli raised his eyebrows at Tech as he walked dejectedly past him. He hobbled after the character and got on the elevator and looked at the ceiling awkwardly. "You know," he said to the sniffling teen, "My dad is the department head of the computer department at Star Labs. And because of that, he has some pretty high level access. I'm pretty sure that I could "borrow" any tech equipment you may need to fix your...what was that room that was just destroyed? The excercise room? Yeah, the tech stuff at Star Labs could work a miracle on that."

Olli was telling Tech all of this because it was weirding him out to be so near a guy who was crying over machines. He must've built them himself, Olli thought quietly. Why else would he be so emotional over something like that?

Matthew wiped his nose with the sleeve of his shirt and straightened up, "Nah it's cool. My little nano bots will take care of the damage those two did to the training room...as soon as their done with the other room that was destroyed this morning." Matthew lifted his arm and little black spots began to come out of his sleeve and swirl around Tech's arm. "These ones are my suit so they stay with me at all times." He says as the nano bots went back into his sleeve. The elevator stops in the doors open to the medical ward, Tech steps out first and ushers Oliver into the room, "Right this way sir if you would." The room had four beds that were very clean and surrounded by hi-tech looking machines along with other medical looking things that you would find in any other hospital room.

Snow would be found upon the roof of the Tower. She was sitting against the ledge, her left leg hanging down and her right bent up where she set her arms and head. Her eyes were upon the setting sun and the city lights that turned on one by one. She enjoyed her solitary moments where she could watch the sunset, the warm day turn to cold but comforting night. It was in this time of day she liked to ponder on the days events.

First off there was the confrontation with Red X. Nova had dropped some files about him. How he went against the Titans back before her time. About how dangerous he was.

Second, and right after the thing with Red X the had a call in the city. Boomy, a MetaHuman who was able to create explosions. She couldnt get it around her head how he was able to do that still. He was captured by a group effort with a new player, Olli, who from her perspective was able to stop time. She was still very impressed and amazed at all the 'Still Life' people she saw during that. With Boomy disoriented after it wore off Nova jumped in and began an assault. With the help of these two she was able to take the Villain by surprise and freeze him from his feet up his body and arms and even over his mouth. Afterwards Athena mentally locked his powers so he couldnt use them anymore, for how long that would last Snow didnt know, and Boomy was sent to jail.

Lastly the 'Spar' between her and Nova. Nova had shown superior fighting skills with hand to hand against Snow. Snow wasnt even mildly advanced with hand to hand she was more of a Freeze everything until she won, which proved pointless against Novas intense Heat... Snow reached a hand up and wiped at a single bead of sweat that went down her forehead. Interesting.. she had exerted herself more then she ever thought she would. However while Nova was superior in Offense, her own defenses proved to be able to stop that power even it she did have to resort to her ultimate defense. Her mind went over Novas tactics. How she fought. How she used her powers along with her own fighting style....

Snow lifted a fist up and it began to glow a soft blue. She punched forward and frost shot out from her knuckles in a tiny amount. Useful. She said softly. She would have to practice a lot in order to expend frost in the same amount Nova used her fire but it seemed to work.

Her mind went back to Nova. She was in sight most of the day and Snow seemed very aware of her and the heat that followed her around. Snow didnt like Fire particularly but she didnt fear Nova in that regard. Snow looked back as the Sun had finally fully set and the city was ablaze with lights. Pretty. Her soft words still bland as ever. Her eyes closed and the roof she sat on turned blue and frosted over, making a circle of ice beneath her. She slowly began to seep into the ice, disappearing within that ring.

A ring of ice slowly appeared against the wall of her room and she stepped out, the ring fadding. Perhaps it was time to learn how to fight properly. Nova would be a good person to ask for help in that regard, she seemed very capable. Snow wondered if she would be able to handle such heat for long periods of time. Would Novas fire temper her? Or melt her?

Olli raised his brow in subtle disbelief. TWO rooms destroyed in one day, he thought. "Nanobots? That's kinda cool. My dad works with that type of stuff. But I try to stay away from it. Kinda creeps me out." All types of images ran through his mind about the destroyed rooms and nanobots on the rampage but before he had the chance to entertain them, they arrived at the med bay. It looked just like a hospital room fit for four people. The equipment looked clean and state of the art and it had the hospital smell that Olli hated.

He hobbled over to a bed and plopped down on it, relieved to be off his leg. It was hurting more than it was when the debris fell on it but he was able to dismiss the pain because of all of the excitement. Now that he was calm, the pain was palpable.

"I don't suppose you have anything to numb this pain in my leg," Olli asked Tech as he looked down at his leg. His pants leg was torn so he could see that already purple bruise. He looked closser and could swear that he saw his leg pulsating.

"...Red x... follow me you have 20 seconds."

"Yes, ma'am," X said, sliding off the back of the couch and falling into stride beside her. He'd have to be blunt, which likely meant offending the psychic, but that was on her. "Bottom line: I think you need help, and I'd rather not have to deal with you guys stopping me everytime we happen to cross paths with the same bad guy. Not to say you couldn't do it with some practice, but it would save you a bigger headache in the long run." With the primary motives out of the way, all X could do was wait to see how Athena would respond, though he did throw out one last quip, "How about it, goddess?"

"Yeah some where around here," Matthew said looking through the medicine cabinet, he picks up a bottle of pills and rattles them a bit. "I'm surprised Athena didn't numb the pain, hmm." he said placing the bottle and a cup of water next to Oliver then grabbed a device that looked like a tablet and hovered it over Ollie's injured leg, a light came from it and on the screen of the tablet was a picture of his bones. "Well doesn't look too bad but you should try to stay off of it," Tech says turning back to the cabinet returning with some more supplies. He puts on some gloves and begins to clean the wound. "I seen what you did, it was pretty cool and a little weird seeing everything stop but your still able to move," Matt says finishing up by wrapping his leg. Matthew goes to a closet and brings back a crutch so it would make it a bit easier for him to walk, "so when ever your ready we can get this tour start."


Athena allowed Red X to talk with out interrupting him and for the most part he was right, two members had just left today and even if Oliver would join them he still needed to be trained. However Nova's research had place this Red X as a former villain of the original titans. "Please don't call me that, heroes fall because they get full of themselves... Nova's research says that you are a villain and with out my ability to read your mind I don't know if I can trust you, call it a downside of being a telepath." she says stopping allowing the conversation continuing pass the 20 second limit.

Downing the pills and water in one gulp, Olli nodded his head in agreement with Tech. "Just imagine his weird it is to know you're the one causing everything to freeze," he chuckled. After Tech, or Matthew as Athena called him, finished working his leg and provided him with a crutch, Olli told the boy to show him around. "Show me any- and everything you feel comfortable with and I won't say anything unless I have a question."

Not wanting to worry his parent further than what he was sure they already were, Olli said that he'd need to get home. "But how will I get back in contact with you guys? I'm pretty sure that Athena doesn't want me yelling in her head all the time. You guys have a phone number or hotline? Maybe an email address I can contact you at? I'd hate to lose touch with you guys. And I am going to need a ride, or fly, home. I didn't see a ferry when Athena flew me here."

Matthew dug in his jacket pocket and pulled out a round yellow and black communicator, "here you can get a hold of us with this," he said then handed it over to Ollie. "I think Athena's busy but I can give you a ride home," he said neglecting to mention that he did not have a license. Tech led the way to the garage, he presses a button on the wall and the lights turn on revealing half finished vehicles and also a black car with a yellow "T" on the door. "Well here she is, built it myself, this is my baby." Matthew presses a button on his watch and the butterfly doors open and Matt jumps in.

"Please don't call me that, heroes fall because they get full of themselves... Nova's research says that you are a villain and with out my ability to read your mind I don't know if I can trust you, call it a downside of being a telepath."

"You have the wrong way of thinking about it," Red X replied, holding back on the nickname. He ignored the first part of her statement as she'd stopped to talk, which meant that he'd gotten through to her, at least somewhat. This conversation was now serious. "I don't know if I can trust you. You might be spearheading this comeback for the Titans, but what proof do I have you won't turn against the city if they don't accept you?" He let that question hang in the air for a moment, hoping the girl understood the gravity of the situation before continuing, "And this is the normal way of life for most of us. We don't know each others' thoughts, and the world keeps turning. You say you can't trust me because you can't invade my mind. Then don't, and keep me where you can see me, if that's what you feel you have to do," His eyes narrowed at her now as he finished speaking, "but I have a right and a reason for my privacy. I won't give it up so easily."

Athena could feel a headache coming on, the type she'd get while talking to Snow. It was true that she had no right to invade peoples private thoughts but she was born with this ability and it didn't help that the people that were supposed to protect her abandoned her. With a sigh she made a decision, "fine your in but do anything to make me think you'd cross us and you'll be out of here," she said soberly. Athena hoped that she wouldn't regret trusting him, "find an empty room, training starts at sunrise." She says turning around and started back to the common room where she would stay awake waiting for an emergency, after all crime never sleeps.

Olli took the device from Matthew and examined it a little before he stuck it in his pocket. He was too tired to fiddle with any technology at the moment. He looked around the garage and gave a low whistle. "Did you build all of these in here," Olli asked as he limped around on his crutches. There was quite a selection of vehicles but a lot of them looked like they could use some work. Seeing the doors open on the most modest vehicle in the room, Olli hopped in the passenger seat. He tossed the crutches in the back seat and then placed his thumb and index finger quizzically on his head.

"I saw no road connecting this island to the city." He looked at Matthew. "Where's the road, dude? Is there a road? Please say a road pops up out of the water or this thing swims cause I hate flying."

X watches Athena turn and leave until the door closed behind her to the common area, then lets out a sigh of his own. "Well, it's a start," he mutters to himself, turning and walking down the hallway. Eventually he finds himself towards the left end of the T, and opens the door, stepping into a darkened room that brightened as he entered. The walls were bare, with sparse furniture wrapped in sheets, but under the mask, X cracks a smile. He knew it wouldn't have held anything, but it still gave him a thrill to be standing in Robin's old room...

Matthew laughed out loud, "road pop up your funny, but don't worry this can't fly, it hovers, big difference...buckle up." Matt engine roars to life and suddenly the car begins to lift as blue flames shoot out from underneath the car the a flame shot from behind it making the car speed off, it exited the tower and sped over the water, when they got to the road the wheels touched.down. "not everything in here is street legal so we have to keep it low profile but anyways where do you live?" He said like it was no big deal.

"Not too far from Star Labs," Olli breathed as he loosened his grip from Tue door handle. Ever since he could remember, he hated being in the air. He didn't know why and he really didn't care. He just loved to have his feet on solid ground.

As the twosome pulled up on front of Olli's home, he saw that every light was on. "Craaaap! Now I have to deal with the parental units." He looked at Matthew with a sorrowful expression before grabbing his crutches from the back seat and slowly got out of the car. Letting out a relenting breath, he said good night to the Titan and that'd he be in touch. He turned towards his house, shoulders drooped, and limped to his impending doom. He almost wished that bank robber HAD blown him to pieces. That would better than facing the wrath of his parents.

Snow stood in her room, staring out the window for a moment. She finally turned to her bed... Which was just a mattress on the floor in the corner. She slowly walked to the bed and layed down, curling into a little ball and frowning. It was the only real emotion she showed willingly all day. She let out a huff and closed her eyes. The room temperature began to drop as she started to fall asleep. Her dreams filled with the Cold empty embrace of ice while around her body the walls slowly frosted over.

Matt gave a little nod to Oliver, it was an odd idea to have to answer to parents and part of him was envious to have parents that cared enough to worry about you if you miss curfew and to love you enough to correct you when you do Something wrong, the other half said the hell with parents his never did right by him. Matt snapped out of his thoughts and called out after Ollie, "We usually have training at sunrise if we don't have nothing else going on, you should come if you don't have nothing better going on." Matthew revved the engine before taking off.

Athena was seating on the couch reading a book when Matthew got back, she looked up at the boy and for a a second her eyes lit up in smiled. Matthew returned the expression and knew that Athena was all the family he needed and maybe he would one day see the other Titans like that. "Took Oliver home, he's cool a bit sheltered though." Matthew said jumping on the couch next to Athena. Athena gave a half smile, "yeah not everyone is lucky enough to have a tragic back story, besides his heart is in the right place and half of what this job requires heart," she says, her defenses are relaxed with just the two of them. "Yeah the other parts you need is craziness and stupidity," he says laughing at his own joke and even Athena joined in with a lite giggle.

Matthew got up and stretched and added a yawn, "well bed time." He said going to the computer and setting the security system. "Try to get some sleep, you'll need it if tomorrow is anything like today was," Matt says with a grin. "Alright good night," Athena said to her friend then continued to read until she fell asleep on the couch.

Nova stood bare in the middle of a room. There were slits in the ground where Tech's mechanics operate a moving target board. From all around her, targets suddenly rose as if to stare her down.
She wore a black sleeveless top. Grey sweatpants, a bit large for her. Grey hoody arms wrapped around her waist. Her fists are strong, her feet stand firm. They crossed the ground. A heat was present all around her.

The targets had jerked and suddenly began rotating around her. She did not hesitate. Nova's body turned to meet the first one with a glancing right punch-- fire errupting from her knuckles and hitting the target dead center. The fire burst from it and seemed to shatter the target whole. Another target popped up to replace it. She continued this. She turned about her, throwing out a flurry of punches into the air toward the targets, intercepting their path and unleashing bursts of flame from her knuckles that destroy the targets.

Nova turned and kicked off the ground. She spun in the air and swung her foot through the air. Flames trailed from her leg and were unleashed in an all around wave that sliced through the tops of every target around her. She dropped to the ground with a hand to it for balance and spun again. Her leg whipped another flame wave all around her at the ground that sliced the lower sections of all the targets around her. Targets kept popping up around her, replacing the old ones. Nova took up to one foot with speed and raised her other to kick the air toward another target, a flame burst launching from her foot that breaks apart another. She is sent back only to turn and meet the targets with another flurry of punches.

Nova was launched into the air and came back toward the ground with a fire in her eyes, erupting from her fist. She slammed her fist to the ground with such force the room shook. A shockwave of fire was launched from her fist that expanded and obliterated the remaining targets. Nothing gets up.

Nova stood and looks around her at the burned room. She turns from it and walks to the door to exit.

Changing Room

Nova stood in the showers, bare of all clothing now. She looked up at the shower head as hot water poured from it and onto her. Steam rose from her body as it clashed with her. The steam made for a good veil. She closed her eyes and thought back about the day past. She only counted one victory that day. For a person like Nova, who made fighting her life, such things were strange. She wasn't used to a lack of combat and certainly not used to not winning. After all, not winning would usually mean not living. Nova thought about Athena; she didn't try to invade her mind today. A good show. She thought about Tech; This brought a smile to her face. She destroyed a good deal of his toys today. He would be trolling her in the future. She thought about the villain; An idiot. She suspected she would see him again. Cockroaches don't disappear forever. Finally, she thought about Snow. Her face became tinted with a redness and she seemed to make a light whimper. Confusing. Nova opened her eyes and grasped the valve to turn off the water. She stood still for a few moments before releasing a sigh. Then she turned from the showers.

Hallway

Nova walked fully clothed now through the hallway. She wore a black top, a light blue skirt, with black stockings. A towel over her shoulders around her neck. She rubbed the towel against her hair to dry it. Sigh. Nova's eyes open and she comes to a stop. She glances at the door next to her. A cold breeze. She shivered a little suddenly. Her hand reached for the door, but suddenly stopped. She turned from it and pulled away from the door with a light stride back toward her room.

Living Room/Main Room

Nova opened the fridge and took a can of soft drink. She closed the fridge behind her and approached the monitor. Her eyes glanced at Athena who laid on the couch. Just one snap, she thought. She looked back at the monitor; she had it turned on silently to a karate movie about a robot. Amusing. Nova popped open the soda can and she tilted the can to sip on the drink. As she rested her hand back down. She wondered about the combat ability possessed by their newest acquaintance; X. By the reports that she read that the old Titans had, he was as talented in hand-to-hand as Robin was. She would find out tomorrow. After finishing the can, Nova discards it onto the counter. She turned off the television.

Revenge on Athena, without warning she would wake up with a marker mustache and glasses. Nova popped the lid on the marker as she stood with her back to the room. She had a half smirk at the edge of her mouth.

Bedroom

Nova fell from her feet into the bed on her front. She closed her eyes and her feet gripped the bed covers. She pulled on them and her body twisted, rubbing to the blankets. Sweet warm loving friction. She bit her lower lip and smiled. Her room was warm. Her body was hot. Her mind was too-- something strange. She thought of things she shouldn't be. She laid still and relaxed, waiting to succumb to the endless ring that is sleep.

Athena had woken up before the sun rose and found that she was a victim of someone's prank, she didn't dwell too much on it as it washed off easy in the shower. The teen puts on her usual tee and jeans combo with black and white canvas shoes, she examined herself in the mirror, she didn't wear anything to enhance her appearance such as make up and her nails were never done and her hear was always in a fast ponytail, Matthew always joked how she should have been a boy but Athena didn't feel the need to dress up. She looked herself over again and didn't see a hero, just a regular teenage girl, "Maybe I should look into making a costume," she said then left her room and made her way to the training area outside. Athena made sure she was the first one out each day giving her some time to meditate in the darkness of the morning.

The sun poked out of the horizon and Matthew finally was seen, his nano suit covered his body and his blond hair was showing and it had been perfectly messy. He was the opposite of Athena, he took time to make sure he looked presentable and he actually looked like a hero with his suit. The boy was holding a mug of coffee and some sort of tablet, "We should really change this training thing to noon or something," Tech said with a yawn.

Athena scowled at the boy suspecting him of drawing on her face as she slept, she was trying not to read his mind it was her training for the day, she would have to learn to trust her team without invading their thoughts. "Your the one that needs this training the most, you have no skill in hand to hand combat." she said as if stabbing him with her words. Matthew just looked down and kicked some rocks from under his shoes, he knew that Athena was right, he relied mostly on his tech to fight for him so he never gave learning to fight with his hands a thought til now.

Snow sat up quickly from her bed, sweat beading over her body. What had she just dreamt? Her mind flashed to the flame that was in her dream and she found herself biting her lip. She shook her head hard, her long blue hair flailing. Only in my dreams. she muttered softly. Snow looked to her clock, it was about time for the training excercise. She let out a mental sigh before she stood up and walked to her small lockbox. She pulled out a cherry flavor sucker and popped it into her mouth before she walked to a mirror in her room. It was then her eyes widened and she spun around to face her room.

It was gone. The frost that coated the walls of her room had faded. Her brow physically furrowed... The dream? Her arms hugged around herself, unsure of how to deal with something like this. With another rough shake of her head she resumed her usual blank expression.

Snow went and took an ice cold shower, embracing the cold to erase the heat that somehow found its way inside of her and then got dressed. She walked to the center of her room and stood in silence for just a moment before she threw out both arms and let out a strong aura of cold. Instantly frost grew upon her walls. The air resumed its icy chill. And ice formed upon her bed. Satisfied her room was back to normal she tapped her foot and a solid ring of ice formed beneath her. Her body slowly seeped into the ring, disappearing, and a thin line of frost skidding around the floor and out her door.

It didnt take long before a solid ring of ice formed on the ground behind Tech and Snow rose from within. As she got fully out the ring faded. There was no sound to her arrival or the deforming of the ice circle. To Tech she would of just suddenly been there. What are we to do? her silent voice chimming in around t he sucker in her mouth.

Olli was grounded. His parents listened to his long, drawn out story about the events of yesterday and pretty much blew a gasket. They tried their best not to yell at him but they started asking why would he even get involved in those situations. He was thinking that it was finally time to come clean to his parents. How else would he explain what he was telling them.

When he finally did spill the beans about his ability to stop things from moving, his parents weren't as surprised as Olli thought. They told him that there were quite a few members of his family on his dad's who possessed superpowers and that somehow, it skipped over his dad. Because Olli never told them he had a power, they just went and assumed that he was normal too.

After he woke up earlier, his parents were waiting for him in the kitchen. They said that while he isn't in trouble, they wanted to keep a closer eye on him to make sure that he wasn't off somewhere trying to be a hero. Their reasoning was that he didn't know how to use his power voluntarily and they didn't want him putting himself in any dangerous situations simply because he was a meta-human.

So he spent his day off in mainly in his room comtemplating whether or not he should use the communication device Matthew had given him. But what would he say? Contact them just to say that he wasn't going to be able to make it to the Tower anytime soon because he was under watch from his parents? That would be lame. Plus, his leg was still injured. He was sure he wouldn't be able to do much of anything anyways.

He hobbled downstair with one crutch, limped to the kitchen to make himself a sandwich, stumbled to the living room, plopped down on the couch and turned the TV. Today would be VERY boring considering the events of yesterday.

Suddenly a chill crept up Matthew and Snow appeared from seemingly nowhere, Matt jumped as usual but quickly calmed down, he was getting used to her ninja like appearances. "Nothing just waiting on Nova to lead us in training," Tech said still thinking of a way to get back at the hothead that kept destroying his stuff. He didn't know why she had to lead the training for combat anyways, Athena was a decent fighter and a strategist, okay maybe Nova did shine on the battle field but he doubt she could beat Athena let alone Katarina, who was even better at hand to hand combat then Athena. The thought of Katarina made his spirit sink a bit, she was now an enemy and they would run into her again and have to take her down. Matthew desperately wanted to think of something else. "Hey Snow, I can probably make you a suit that keeps you ice cold even in high degrees of heat, kinda like a sweater but opposite...an opposweater," he says.

Snows cheeks suddenly took a gentle pink tint at the mention of Nova though she still stayed rather expressionless. She then shook her head slowly at his offer. No thank you. My body temperature does not rise about freezing even in the middle of a desert. Her face remained blank as she spoke, though as soon as she said that she knew she was lying. Her dream crept back into her mind and Tech would notice her twitch slightly in an effort to push it from her mind. Besides your tech would be ruined as I utilized my powers. My ice comes from my body. I do not materialize it. As if to prove a point a spike of ice speared out of the middle of her upper arm before it turned to a sparkling dust and seeped into her open skin.

Earlier that morning, in Nova's Room

Nova raised her head slowly, letting her brow drag across the bed coverings. Ugh.. She thought. Her body was sweating, drenching the sheets. That was the least of the problems though. As she rose to her hands and knees, she saw flames across the edges of her mattress.

Outside the Tower

A burning mattress breaks through the side of the tower from the inside and plummets to the ground at the base of the tower.

Back inside Nova's Room

She looks around her room, uncomfortable about the fresh new breeze coming into her room through her self made window. She walks toward the dresser in her room and opens it, looking her clothes over. She turned from the dresser and took hold of her top. It was drenched in sweat from her dreams. Nova pulled her shirt off and discarded it off to the side. She loosed the skirt and stood now freshly bare in her room with only her stockings upon her legs. After a few minutes, she found the right set of clothes and equipped herself with a fresh pair of underwear. They were red, not that it mattered. She pulled on a skirt that was a mixture of blue. Upon looking at it, her face became red again. She thought of ice. Nova ignored it and shook her head free of the thoughts that kept clouding her mind. She finished with a black shirt and then dawned her blue jacket. To finish her attire, a red scarf was pulled over her shoulders.

Nova turned from her dresser and glanced about her room. She raised a hand and let her fingers move. Flames sparked from her fingertips. Good, she thought. She walked to the door and it opened on its own, letting her exit without a word.

Hallway

Nova walked with a purpose and determination in her steps. Likely, only Athena and Tech were up at this time. It was still early after all. As she walked, Nova raised her hands and began opening them again. A fierce extension of her fingers ignited them like matches. She moved her hands like lighters, closing, opening, closing, opening. With each time she opened her hand, flames covered her fingers. It was a test, to ensure that her flames were still her own.

Main Hall

Nova entered the main room with the super computer. She walked straight around the counter and to the fridge, opening it to see what was inside. Pizza, it quickly caught her eye. She took out two slices and mounted them upon a plate. She put the plate on the counter and began dressing her pizza. While most things in the fridge could be taken by everyone, nova was exceptionally tilted in favor against those who touched her claimed items. Peppers, exotic with such heat they could make the blood boil. Hot sauce, made from some of the worlds hottest peppers. She added the toppings to her slices of pizza before taking the plate up and placing it into the microwave. After heating it all up, she took her food and a fresh can of soft drink, and moved to the couch to see what was on TV.

Romance... She turned the channel Drama... She turned the channel. Action movie She stopped turning and began eating while watching the screen. It would be a while before training.

The Roof

Later on, Nova moved to the roof and used her time there to train herself in body. Tech was useless to her. All he ever wanted to do was make machines that did things that bored her to no end. She finally convinced him to make a punching bag that could handle her heat, one that could take the flames she emitted and ware them down to nothing.

Nova stood before the punching bag with fists raised. She took swings and jabs, with an uppercut on the side. She threw blow after blow at the bag. She did not give it a moment to rest. Finish it! She thought loudly, as she turned and swung her leg through the air. Fire waved with it and roared with a fury. SMACK! Her foot slammed hard to the bag and sent it flying off the roof. Perhaps, she overdid it. The punching bag was meant to be fire resistant after all. She forgot it wasn't in place to handle too much physical force.

The Training Field

Finally, the time for practice had come. Nova held her hands inside her coat pockets as she approached her teammates. She glanced left and right, seeing who was all there. She took note that only three of them were present at the time. Where was Red X, and Ollie, and any of the other Titans she'd heard about before? Is this all there is? Nova sighed with a heavy look. Her eyes suddenly launched a straight forward glare directly at Athena.

Athena floated with her eyes closed and and legs crossed, she made sure the things that flew off the roof didn't hit anybody and if Nova wanted her stuff back she would have to fish them out of the river. The psychic ignored Matthew's and Snow's small talk and centered herself, preparing her mind for the day was very important more so then chatting. Although Athena's eye's were closed she could feel the heat off of Nova and the glare that she was trying to run her through with. "Nova senai you're late, as you all can see Grimm, Vex, and Asima are no longer with us, this type of life demands sacrifice and it would seem that it was too much for them to bare. As for Red X I'm not sure, this does not look good for him." Athena says accidentally looking into her mind, it wasn't her fault this time Nova's mind was practically jumping at her. "You have the floor so lead us as you see fit," she said not moving and her eye's still closed. She knew she was being a bit rude but she wondered how Nova would react, she truly did not know this time because she kept her mind to herself.

Snow stood there, silent after the small exchange with Tech. She seemed in her own little world for the moment until she felt a familiar heat. Her eyes widened slightly and she looked up right as Nova walked towards them. She suddenly felt warm. Odd. Her blue eyes shifted away from Nova to focus on the floor. When it came to such things she was kind of a coward. When Athena told Nova that she was late, Snows twitched and small ice spikes shot from her fingers into the ground at her feet. The spikes were only as large as her fingernails so only someone looking at her would notice what happened. Her mind however was flailing about. Icing over with a sudden and surprising fury. Why was she angry? She didn't get angry. Her eyes lifted when Athena said the Floor was open to Nova and her attention set upon the Firebender.

Nova's fist tightened but she turned away from it. This wouldn't be the first time she would hit Athena. She wanted to believe that she did it to be a good influence; hitting the leader would cause speculation among the rest of the members. Though this was hardly the case. Nova turned her back onto the others and took a few steps away. Her arms rested behind her back. She didn't let them see her eyes turn. She looked to the side, as if to catch a small glance out of the corner of her eye at Snow. Her face had a light heat to it reflected in the pigment of her skin changing around the nose. Not now.., Nova thought. She turned to face them again as she returned to her normal state. She glared again but this time let her glare shoot down the line at all three members present on the field.

"Listen clearly," Nova called out to the teammates. She raised a hand and pointed her finger toward them. Her hand acted as a lighter and her fingertip ignited with a small flame. This was used to get inside their heads. It was like interrogation.

"Before I can help you build what you have, I need to know what you're working with." Nova approached the end of the line, starting with Athena. She began walking down it toward Tech and Snow. As she walked past Athena, her eyes glanced. "I need the details, the ones I don't know.." Her finger passes by Athena's face. The fire burning from her finger emits a strong heat that would draw sweat from her. A tactic to get her on edge. "I know you use psychic powers..." She passes Athena completely and then begins to pass Tech. "I know you use machines and gadgets...." Nova finally reaches Snow and she keeps her eyes straight ahead, not letting her eyes catch sight of the cold girl. "I know that you use ice..." Suddenly, she turned and put her back at teh others and walked away a few feet. "But how advanced are you in it... What can you do, what can't you do? Where do you lack... If you can't even tell me where you're lacking... You don't need to be here.." Her eyes turn back to them seriously.

Athena opened her eyes and her feet touched the ground, she had a new respect for Nova for not attacking her after she intentionally tried to anger her. As Nova pointed her burning finger at Athena she went cross eyed to look at it, maybe she would attack her after all but instead moved on to Tech.

Matthew felt a bit intimidated by Nova but at the same time a bit turned on. As the thoughts about Nova wearing a sexy bunny costume rolls in he fights them off in case Athena was listening to his thoughts. Matt looks to the psychic with a guilty face but Athena only gave him a quick smile before turning back to Nova. Tech gives a sigh of relief cause it seems he was lucky but he looked up at the clouds to try to clear his mind.

Athena spoke up when Nova asked about their weaknesses, intimate question to ask it was like giving someone keys to beat them. "I can only read the,minds of people I know over long distances and with enough training someone can learn to resist me, Tech can do it...some times and the villain Ghost can as well and with time you two will be able to. I can make someone forget their abilities but I have to be in physical contact. Also I can only hold my full power for 40 seconds before I break..." Athena felt a bit awkward after revealing her secrets but she needed to trust her team and hoped they would cover for her weaknesses as she would do for them.

Tech played with a small device in his hand, he knew he would have to answer now that Athena did. "I can't fight...like at all and I'm easily distracted!" He said blushing.

Snow stood there, eyes upon Nova as she went from Athena to Tech with her lit finger. When Nova got to her and did not look at her, Snows eyes shifted to the ground. Nova walked off as she continued to speak and then Snows eyes lifted a bit as Athena and Tech responded to her question. Snow replied in turn, Hand to Hand. It was all she said. She was excelent in defense and adequate at range, at least enough where hand to hand never became nessecary. Her eyes locked upon Nova after she spoke. She knew how Snow fought. As soon as she realized Nova was the better fighter she went Defensive. Novas fire even destroyed most of her defenses except for her final one but with that final defense she was not able to respond with an attack... but that was something she had been working to fix as well as something to take her physically out of the fight all together.

Nova had stopped in front of Snow and turned to face her. She looked at her only for a second before her face became lightly flushed. She ignored it and instead looked to Tech then her eyes shifted to Athena. "I know yours, now see mine." She said. Her right hand holds the flame still and it remains strong. Her other hand however reached out to Snow and took her hand. She stood with one hand in Snow's while the other maintained the fire. Nothing seemed to happen. Nova felt the cool embrace of Snow's cold aura about her and after a few moments, the flame begins to shrink. It is almost as if the cool air is sapping the flames from her. Her eyes become less fiery, as if they were being chilled from her. With hesitation, she suddenly steps back and looks past all three of them. "It's important for a team to know each others strengths and weaknesses," Nova turns and walks down the line again, paying each team member a certain amount of respect. "If we don't, we could all die. If we can't acknowledge each other... we might as well be dead."

Nova stopped her walk in front of Athena and turned to face her face to face. Resistance to telepathy would always be present, she needed to learn to use the subtle hints given to her by battle along with her telepathy to find holes in the enemies defense. What Athena should be working on is her ability to externally control her psychic power in both an offensive and defensive manner. Nova nods and takes a step forward, focusing on Athena for a moment. "Your psychic abilities should be an extension of yourself." Nova's hands rise up and take hold of Athena's. Unlike with Snow, there is no flushed face or nervous tone about it. Her fingers press to Athena's and she manipulates her hands to make them rise near chest level. Nova's palms part from Athena's to give them an inch or more of space. Nova's hands start to become very hot. Suddenly, in the space between them a fire begins to emerge from Nova's palms toward Athena. "In battle, you have little time to think." The fire approaches as Nova speaks.

"Your psychic powers can be used to shield yourself from incoming attacks.. Focus on your hands and tell your mind to keep my fire back.." Athena should feel the blistering pain of intense heat approaching. Nova was well aware how dangerous it was, but the best way to learn was to throw her into the fire. "If you don't.. Your hands will burn.." Nova appears to keep a serious face, but she would be lying if she said she didn't enjoy the chance to cause Athena pain.

Athena couldn't help but notice something was going on with Nova and Snow and it took all of her will power not to peek into Nova's mind to find out what was going on. When Nova grabbed her hand she blinked in confusion then got the picture when Nova's palm started to heat up, a pressure would be felt coming from Athena that would push at everyone there although it was a slight pressure Matt begun to back up. The fire was getting hotter still and it made the psychic clinch her teeth in pain but she didn't back down instead she planted her feet and willed her power to obey and shield only her hand. It would have been easier to shield her entire body but this exercise was all about control.

Snow tensed as Nova grabbed her hand suddenly. When a person touchs her she hardly feels the warmth but with Nova she felt it and then some. Almost as if in response her body began to react, dropping in temperature and the ground at he feet frosted over. She watched in silence as Nova made a flame and it began to die as the Cold she generated affected Novas powers. She was vulnerable to cold? As Nova released her hand her eyes looked to it. Her palm, usually pale, now had a red tint to it as if burned but she felt no pain. After that she didnt pay attention to what she was doing with Athena, just looked at her hand.

Nova watched intently. She didn't have to struggle, her task was simple. Generate fire and push it at Athena. With that goal in mind, the only thing she had to focus on was pushing out more fire which was never a real problem for her.

After a few minutes of watching Athena struggle, Nova halts her fire forging and then raised her hands up to take hold of Athena's arms. She half expected a telekinetic throw across the field because of her blunt and sudden actions but she was fine with that, especially since she'd be making sure Athena acted as her ignition and her cushion. Regardless of her inner details, she moves Athena's arms up as if to take a boxing position. Nova's eyes peer on between Athena's hands to see into her eyes.

"Everything you do can be enhanced with your powers", Nova acknowledges Athena. She took a step back and used Athena's arms with her own, bringing the psychics fists to a forward press as if in means to make it seem like a punch.

"When you punch, you can unleash psychic pressure from your fists" Nova's hands slipped from Athena's and she turned sharply to the left, away from the others and followed with a harsh right fist jab in the air. A burst of fire runs from her knuckles and across the air, leaving a smoke like smell to the air. Nova's eyes glanced back. "Every movement can be enhanced, made to go further, faster, stronger.. Failing to utilize this makes you inadequate, especially against an opponent with equal abilities.."
