Xmen after Magneto chucks Grundy away

Oliver North
Parasite needs physical contact with someone to absorb their powers/etc?

x-men: emma shuts parasite down, they pile up on grundy

Oliver North
couldn't he just absorb the "psychic energy"?

753
could he? my knowledge of parasite is sparse is probably outdated. someone else should come and post in this thread
edit: wikipedia (which I take at face value) says he is just like rogue

Oliver North
comicvine suggests he can absorb any conceivable form of energy

that being said, it really would just take a bit more creativity from the X team, if Parasite can't absorb from a distance this is a wtfstomp for the x-men

ColossusGrundy
Grundy can tank about anything this team can put out. IF it's the Grundy that smacked Supes around.

If not, X-men win.

Batman-Prime
Depends on the Grundy. Magneto might even solo.

Horrificus
ok. what's the call? which parasite? which grundy?

Oliver North
Unless I totally don't understand Grundy's powerset, I don't think him being the version that can "smack supes around" does much other than prolong the fight. He'd have no answer to Iceman, Vulcan or Magneto (assuming the peak versions of all 3), and I would think Emma and Wolverine would him a good deal of trouble.

The only real way I can see a W for team 2 is if parasite can get a hold of Vulcan and use his energy manip against the long-range X-Men.

Anybody notice how Iceman pretty much hit his peak during Inferno? And then it's been like 20 -25 years of downhill ever since....

Oliver North
in terms of power level, sure.

in terms of being an interesting character with complex motivations? idk, the whole thing about his depression after being shown so directly how powerful he could be was interesting
