Eh, Maul goes for the kill unlike Vader, so he should win. Luke also has no experience fighting against Mauls double bladed weapon.

Maul wins.

How?. Can you explain why Maul>Luke I know Vader>>>Luke and Vader held back but not sure on why Maul beats Luke.

Jedi Mom
According to TPM novel Maul dominated QGJ/TPM Kenobi at the same time. I Doubt RotJ Luke was better than TPM Kenobi.

Proabably true.

The movie doesn't really show that. It shows them pushing him back with him clearly being better than each individual but having to separate them in order to gain any real advantage.

Jedi Mom
no. also, remember there are parts where (in the movie) we don't get to see them fight, we see other scenes

DARTH POWER
If you watch the fight carefully they're not really forcing Maul backwards. When moving backwards he's doing it voluntarily. Which is confirmed by the novel.

Jedi Mom
Here are the most important parts of the fight from the TPM novel;

''But on this day, he had met his match. The Sith Lord he battled with Obi-Wan was more than his equal in weapons training, and he had the advantage of being younger and stronger. Qui-Gon was nearing sixty; his youth was behind him and his strength was beginning to diminish. His edge now, to the extent that he had one, came from his long experience and intuitive grasp of how an adversary might employ a lightsaber against him.''
''Obi-Wan brought youth and stamina to the combat, but he had fought in only a few contests and was not battle hardened. Together, they were able to hold their own against the Sith Lord, but their efforts at attack, at assuming the offensive against this dangerous adversary, were woefully inadequate.''

''The Jedi Knights tried continually to press the attack, and indeed, the Sith Lord was moving away from the Naboo and the starfighters and back toward the hangar's far wall. But Qui-Gon recognized that while it might seem as if the Jedi were driving him before them, it was the Sith Lord who was controlling the struggle. Wheeling and spinning, leaping and somersaulting with astonishing ease, their enemy was taking them with him, drawing them on to a place of his own choosing. His agility and dexterity allowed him to keep them both at bay, constantly attacking while at the same time effectively blunting their counterattacks, relentlessly searching for an opening in their defense.''

Then later on;

''But he was worried, too. He could admit it to himself, privately, if only just. They should have won this battle long ago. Against any other opponent, they would have. But the Sith Lord was battle trained and seasoned well beyond anyone they had ever encountered before. He had matched them blow for blow, and they weren't any closer to winning this fight now than they had been in the beginning.''

Then, after Jinn's meditation, he gains new strenght which caught Maul slightly off balance and it was a even fight very shortly until Jinn became tired again and got killed.

Then when he fought Kenobi alone, he got caught off balance again as he was surprised by Kenobi's sudden fury. Again it is described as ''even for a while'' until Maul showed his superiority and made Kenobi tired.
