Given the nature of the versus forum there's never a lacking for fights that branch from different series, sagas, companies or just plain obscurity. I have noticed though that as we focus on fights that are unlikely to happen, we tend to forget about confrontations that should have happened that are not separated by companies and levels of obscurity. My question than is "what fights are long overdue in comics given the nature and background of the characters?

For me its

Deathstroke vs Bane (how has bane not come up as a possible target given that bane tends to circle batman while deathstroke circles nightwing and the titans

High evolutionary vs apocalypse (these two have battled before but that was a while ago, They are overdue for a new altercation)

Dr Doom and Thanos - How often have these two both searched for ultimate power without really having a clear confrontation ( I know we had a brief meeting between the two in the IG saga but that was more of a tease)

Dr doom and the mandarin- Doom has had dealing with other terrorist nutjobs and tyrants ( red skull, dracula, osborn during dark reign ), yet why not the mandarin?

Batman vs. Deathstroke re-match.
Azrael (JPV) vs. Azrael (Michael Lane)
Darkseid vs. Ganthet
Doctor Doom vs. Loki
Iron Man vs. Doctor Strange

Magneto vs Doom - an actual fight, not that children's crusade garbage.

Anyways a Nova Prime vs Gladz rematch would be better.

Richie has to avenge the beating his temp received from Gladz during WoK.
Plus Gladz needs payback from this.

Well, no, there are plenty of guys Wolverine, with his powerset, history, and character, should be able to beat. Just not a good chunk of his post 90s and especially post 2000 villains.

My brother's friend's cousin's wife's basketball coach told me that Wolverine was originally meant to be a computer engineer who could barely bench the bar and had the ability to sort files at the speed of sound. Writers ruined him though.
