Imo it would be interesting to see him re-imagined as a devout Christian billionaire, who views the emergence of the heroic Gods (ie. Thor, Herc..) as an affront to the one true God, because of the increase in worship for these old deities.

From there he becomes a Thor villain people can relate too.

Just my two cents

If he goes direct confrontation, Lex will get murdered by thor eventually unlike all the free passes superman gives him.

He has a good chance if he goes via intelligencia route playing stuff in the shadows.
