what, it's true, Celestials will win this ... confused

guy222
Tiamut/Exitar/S.H.I.E.L.D. Celestial FTW

Oliver North
SHIELD Celestial....?

ugh...

guy222
It's a good series by Hickman. IMO, better than his FF series. The Celestial fared well vs a God like hero

Oliver North
fair enough, and I totally shouldn't just dismiss it off hand, just sounds strange that a celestial would be involved with SHIELD somehow...

what are the issues? I'll check it out

guy222
S.H.I.E.L.D. 2nd series

Tiamut is said to be equal to fulcrum in power:

Eternals #9

that should tell you something.......

fun fact, only recently in astonishing x-men volume 3 issue #61 celestials are said to be the CREATORS OF THE MULTIVERSE:

http://i.imgur.com/PLqB3Xt.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/uuYpXsY.jpg

it said that they split the universe into a multiverse with nothing but their will

That's a hell of a retcon.....

guy222
Oh yes puts Celestials higher on the chain

operator616
yeah, wierd thing though, that only after a week, in uncanny avengers #7 the apocalypse twins using jarnbjorn were able to kill a celestial:

http://i.imgur.com/rlzypty.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/OMLTJ12.jpg

in the previous issue, uncanny avengers #6, we learn that a simple enchantment cast by odin or someone with his own blood (like thor) can endow the weapon with the power to pierce the celestial armor

http://i.imgur.com/efOomoz.jpg

kind of dumb considering odin's history with the celestials.

golem370
As long as Exitar is that leader of the Celestials I am fine

guy222
Team 1 still. Long as Marvel doesn't poke fun of Tiamut I am happy

Colossus-Big C
Lol Exitar Solos, hes more powerful than the entire 4th host iirc

Much more powerful than galactus

What is actually dumb is that Remender conveniently ignored all the instances of a Celestial healing/repairing its damaged armor. It would have been nice if he had explained that it not only penetrates Celestial armor, but acts like a cosmic-scale Muramasa blade equivalent for the Celestials. Remender, imo, would do well do improve his delivery of small, but important details like that.

Plus, there are clear indications that Remender isn't ignorant of Odin's history with Celestials, seeing how he had Odin referring the pact of non-interference with Celestial affairs.

guy222
Fingers crossed Odin comes across Celestials and is humbled again

Yup this is what you call sloppy writing.

He references the "non interference pact" aka Thor 300 and the humiliation the Celestials unleashed upon the skyfathers and Earth's pantheons, then he comes up with this bullsh|t "celestial killing spell" in Odin's library. sick

guy222
Agreed

I recall a god-like hero among the SHIELD brigade, I never saw that fight.

Scans please?

guy222
I will look for em. Only problem living n the woods is the poor service

Mr.SunKing
Son, the whole " Celestial Assassination" fiasco screams sloppy/terrible writing. I hope this sh!t gets retconned, because I for one, cannot take it seriously, and I do not think it should be taken seriously.

Uriel005
