As you may or may not know, E3 is in a few days. What do you expect to see from each company?

From the Xbox ONE, I expect to see two things:

1. Games. Lots of games. Lots of support for games and gamers.

2. Lots of ass kissing and damage control for the media fiasco regarding their shenanigans.

Pretty much what Blax said except for the part where we expect them to apologize and fix everything. They're no doubt gonna keep the DRMs in their console regardless of the negative feedback and hope their dozens of exclusive games will change our minds.

Recently there was an announcement of Rare saying they're going to bring an iconic revival of a franchise. If it's Killer Instinct and is only on the Xbox One and not 360 I'll be pissed, and knowing my luck that would be the case.

I don't see MS removing the DRM feature either, but I do see them sugar coating it and explaning consolations at E3 to smooth it over.

They could go either way on the always online thing. It's a feature that isn't necessary at all, even on their end, so I could see them dropping it. But they might just be stubborn.

As far as games, well, I'm hoping for more new IP's and less sequels, which we might get because 1. This is the start of the new console generation, and 2. I feel like sequel fatigue has settled in quite a bit. From what I've seen, a lot of sequel games didn't sell as well last year as publishers were hoping (sans the obligatory CoD release), so I think that's a message to publishers and developers that they need to step it up.

I wanna see and know more about the Oculus Rift so far. A presentation on it'd be nice. Been following them since the start. And/or some more stuff on the Virtuix Omni treadmill.

Looking forward to what Nvidia's got up their sleeves too.

I expect complete details about the Xbox One and PS4. Also, how many new exclusives games each system will have.

Hoping to hear on:

Bioshock Infinite DLC
Some sort of Battlefront 3 teaser
Pokemon X/Y (Which I guess won't technically be at E3, but the ND should still count)
New multi-plat titles

I'm not as interested in Sony or Microsoft as I should be (since I don't plan on getting Xbone or PS4 for a year or two) but those conferences should be exciting all the same.

I'm hoping Kojima is trolling us and we find out that Hayter is still the voice of Snake.

Hopefully something like this happens during Kojima's presentation

I'm actually expecting a big showing from MS, considering how underwhelming their Xbox One reveal was.

I would not be surprised at all if they announce some major exclusive or timed exclusives from EA, such as Dragon Age III or something.

If it's only temporary, I'll just wait for DAIII to be on the PS4. Xbox One will have some awesome exclusives to show off, I'm sure, but no matter how tempting they look, I still don't think I'll go buy a One due to the flaws that were brought up at the reveal. If they want me and others back, they have to remove the Used Game DRM, let us play offline should we ever take our console somewhere that doesn't have internet or if we somehow lose connection at our homes, and let us turn the Kinect off whenever we don't need it.

If MS confirms DRM for the One, and the following day, Nintendo announces a unified account system for the Wii U/3DS, that would be a HUGE win for Nintendo.

That wouldn't really matter. Nintendo isn't really directly competing with MS or Sony anymore. What MS or Nintendo does has no real affect on the other anymore.

Suggestion for websites to see the conferences the day after? From previous years the sites that stream suck for later viewings.

Am a little late to the party because of other matters, but yeah. Great news and stuff regarding Sony. Had a good feeling they would throw a good curve ball like this, and still funny and ironic how MS is making the same mistake with the One as Sony did during the beginning of the PS3 as far as the pricing, while now Sony has learned from that...

Even before E3, I figured the PS4 would become my more top priority console for the next gen, though like I said I wouldn't mind getting the other two systems as well if there's a price drop and I have enough reason, besides Killer Instinct I guess. Even with Sony becoming the best right now I'm still not gonna be some anti-fanboy towards their competitors' systems because well.. console wars are for kids.

I think you just underestimate how ridiculous DRM on a console is.

So, to recap, Killer Instinct:

- Looks like a SFIV clone

- Is being developed by Double Helix, the company that made such "gems" as Battlefield and Silent Hill: Homecoming

- Is F2P, but only one character is free.

People keep saying that the Xbox 360 beat the PS3, what exactly do we base that on...

I'm pretty much an Xbox fanboy, and I feel terrible about the Xbox One, and am begrudgingly leaning towards the PS4. It's not blind hate in many people (probably is in some, there always were extreme fanboys for either side), but Microsoft actually screwing up a lot of stuff that's important to people.

They didn't make a compelling case for their console at all. Worse than that they are pushing things that people actively dislike.

Maybe, maybe not. If it's anything like pc DRM then I could definitely relate because I just went through one of the biggest, if not the biggest DRM debacle in video game history with SimCity (2013).

It was a pain in the ass yet, imo SimCity's been the best pc exclusive to come out in a long time. It's definitely been the best game overall, this past season and maybe even this year so far. It's been the game I've played the most this year.

DRM has it's issues but it's not the end of the world. And whether DRM is just a commercial agenda veiled in an anti-piracy cloak or not, if you don't like companies that use it, don't purchase their products. Stop b*tching about it if your not getting involved with hardware with DRM software.

The Xbox One isn't just going to affect those who purchase it. Its anti-used games thing is going to have repercussions on the whole industry, possibly shutting down many game stores. I myself am slightly worried that my local Insane Games might be in trouble.

There's nothing wrong with liking the xbox one if you do. If you do your cool, your good. I like the xbox one. I do like what they're doing with tv. I know I won't clown you if you like the xbox one. I also like the ps4. They're both gonna be great hardcore gaming machines. They just have extras now. The xbox one is definitely way, way better than the 360 and the ps3 as it's suppose to be. And I gotta say some of the features on xbox one are brilliant and straight out beat most of the extras the ps4 has. Not including way more exclusives. The Kinect and Live are more powerful than ever and much more powerful the ps4's version of it.

With the flashy colors and stuff I noticed the SFIV/MvsC3 feel it had to it. What happened to the Mortal Kombat feel the original KI had? It had some blood and fatality-esque finishers. Didn't really see either in the trailer. Part of what I liked about the original KI was that it kinda felt like a mix of MK and SF as far as gameplay. This new one though...

I'll be honest I prefer a SF feel over a MK feel.

The original KI kinda had both though, which was what I was getting at.

I wish we could have seen more details on FExSMT and Yarn Yoshi.

I'm not a console head but I've never seen so much extreme hate for a new console. I mean this is bordering on just blind, cult-like insanity. It's so extreme that it seems too much. As if something else is wrong. Which makes me think that sony fanboys are either really, really butthurt and bitter the ms beat them the last generation overall and wanna make sure they win this time by any means necessary, whether it be by smearing the living effin' shite outta xbox one every waking second they get, for the rest of their lives or just because it's trendy to do so.

They both look good to me. But sony fanboys act , almost threatened. There's just this high level anger on a Hitler scale. It's sad kinda. as I watch it all from above in ether in the PC realm. Have you considered the possibility that the XBOX One just looks like shit to the majority of people?

And before you try pulling that Sony fanboy bullshit on me in lieu of anything substantial to say, the 360 was my first last gen console, followed by the Wii. Last, I got the PS3.

The problem lies in people forgetting that Xbox, and even the playstation, are businesses first, with a responsibility to their stockholders, firstly, whom expect a return on their investment through the hopes of increased value over time. Investors are partly to solely the reason why video games exist. Because of their funding. The dispensable consumer/gamer/second hand businesses are second. Not no. 1. Always has been and always will be.

Do you honestly think that if given the opportunity, the playstation wouldn't take advantage of what they think would be an potentially lucrative business opportunity, like keeping some if not all of the money made on your software, kinda like royalties, even if it meant closing some indie stores and upsetting some of their consumers, if they thought that they'd make money on the move overall? Absolutely not.

Thing is, the majority of those people have been Sony fanboys. I'd understand if the majority was a mix but so far it's been mostly ps4 fans, i'm not lying. Most of the xbox one insults I've seen, all over all the others, have included pro-playstation 4 references.
