Examples are as follows Star Wars, Star Trek, Riddick, Tron, Matrix, and Terminator movies as general examples from what to pick from. List your top five films from these series and other Sci Fi films I haven't listed.

Give an order as well.

Wrong forum. This is the MVF smile

jaden101
In no particular order. As stand alone films and not part of planned series.

Inception
Aliens (this counts as I guess it was never planned as a series and is just a load of stand alone films by different directors)
Event Horizon
Equilibrium
Chronicle

jaden101
Should've put Cabin in the Woods on that list as well.

Godzilla and Planet of the Apes are by far my favorite Sci-Fi film franchises.

Carpenter's Thing is dope also. I'm sorely missing a more philosophical weird series in here, but I'll probably figure out one later, in the mean time: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Robbie, what is your list ?

the ninjak
Forbidden Planet (1956)
Contact (1997)
Strange Days (1995)
Akira (1988)
Ghost in the Shell (1995)
Still so many to come up with but these were the first to come to mind.

Blade Runner (1982) hovers around due to my love of Cyberpunk.
Forbidden World aka Mutant (1982) also holds a special place in my heart.

Too many to put into a simple top 5.

I just noticed this thread.

Is there a specific reason why it's in the MVF?

the ninjak
Because we need better threads.

This forum needs a "book club" style of debating at this stage.

Someone chooses a film. The rest watch it and then debate upon it.

It's hilarious what characters get wanked on this site.

does that make quanchi...oprah winfrey?

does that make quanchi...oprah winfrey? Heh...

In all seriousness there is a plethora of movie monsters and characters that haven't been explored in this forum.

If someone chose a film for everyone here to watch, then debated on I believe it would make things here more interesting.

Not in order, but:

Return of the Jedi
Star Trek First Contact
Aliens
The Matrix
Predator

But yeah, wrong forum too.

Odekahn
I'm going to have to list them by franchises.

Green Lantern
Star Wars
Terminator
Halo
Independence Day

I'm shocked to say that not one of you assh*les, myself included, have used Starman from the titular film. Just imagine what he could do with those alien spheres of his.

Many not? What. Look go ask your wife for permission already. You obviously don't make decisions for yourself.

I though I listed four? I actually care for the genre so I wanted to have more time to remember a fifth stick out tongue

But yeah, loved the new Planet of the Apes, it wasn't perfect but better than the first remake.
