Venom/Carnage could be the real tosser.

Sand man is tough but can be pretty stupid. Grodd should be able to take him via a outsmart on the fly like Rhino always looses to.

why wouldn't they be?

they are crazy, they don't have TP immunity. It may be hard to read their minds, there is nothing to suggest they couldn't just be shut down.
