BackFire349
eminem would be horrible horror music.
mechmoggy
General artists is difficult, but I think the following songs would suit the different scene types: -
Action sequence - "Sabotage" by The Beastie Boys
Reflective mood - "Blackbird" by The Beatles
Romance - "A man needs to be told" by The Charlatans
End credits - "Thats entertainment" by The Jam
Opening credits - "Seven nation army" by The White Stripes
There's more, let me ponder this one....
hotsumrchild
Hey Mechmoggy, that some good choices. The Jam kicks ass! Who else has a few? Hey Backfire, why do you think Eminem would be horrible for Horror?
Member.
eminem would be good for "scooby-doo" horror.
mah
since when was rap suitable horror music?
mechmoggy
How about "Love will tear us apart" by Joy Division for two lovers driving away from their troubles, Thelma and Louise stylee?
Corran
How about Purple Rain album by Prince for a film parody of his life?
mah
how about everything by Masonna for insane horror films
Thomas H
I a big stunt action movie I would prefer Rage Against the Machine and Limp Bizkit!
mechmoggy
Limp Bizkit are utter s***e, now go to your room without any dinner Thomas.
And don't even think about coming back down till you're sorry.
Dano
Corran, great album , one of the best soundtracks of all time!!
mechmoggy
I hate Prince's music, its so damn 80's.
*Shudders*
Corran
Mech, not all of it is 80's some of his later work was like 90's style
mechmoggy
I can never get past the fact he's a lil' purple nonce who thinks he's sexy.
How about "Angel" by Massive Attack, playing as a gypsy struggles with his friends as he watches his mothers caravan burn down with her in it.........oh wait, already been done.
Corran
good film though.
I f*&^%$% hate pikeys.
mechmoggy
Good soundtrack altogether.
I'd really like to hear "Live Forever" by Oasis in a movie, its a great teen anthem.
Maybe "I am the Walrus" by The Beatles for a movie about LSD.
hotsumrchild
I'm not saying that Eminem is better for horror than anyone else but why not. Anyway, hey have any of you guys heard that new Sugar ray song, Mr. Bartender? It's really cool. I love that hook.
Julie
I don't have an opinion...b/c I would be really horrible at picking movie music
hotsumrchild
Julie, don't be so hard on yourself. You have an opinion, let's hear it. Oh man, I just saw that eBay is auctioning Sugar Ray tickets and meet-n-greets. Why don't more bands do this?
Mujaffa
opening theme: theme from trigun
car chase: toccata in D minor
after car chase: the road by tenacious d
a strange love theme:the rose by bett midler
ending:motorbreath by metallica
final ending: the battle rages on by deep purple
PadmeSkywalker
scary movie-hanson...that will scary any living soul....
Captain REX
I'm drab, and I'd probably have orchestrated music...
PadmeSkywalker
scary movie....n'sync....they scare me in my sleep
narcil
not drab at all, rex!! ^_^ that would be my choice as well---i was just about to ask "what about...non-lyrical music, ppl?"
as a side note...i know this isn't a *movie* ...but in one episode of kenshin, they play an intermezzo from mascagni's cavaleria rusticana--and it's one of the most gorgeous pieces of music i have EVER heard. fit the scene perfectly ('twas romantic, fyi). and i don't normally LIKE romantic scenes...but the music was just...wow!!
go d/l!! ^_^
