Who is that 'other' sky father?

The other Skyfather was the other half of Zeus . Skyfather of the roman gods Jove.

Skyfathers.
Like the poster before me said, that's actually the two halves of DC Zeus (reunited in the 90's) and DC Odin.

id have my doubts regarding this feat though.

setting aside the fact that this feat is HUGELY inconsistent, this kind of happened before.

Zeus+Jove+Odin+Ares+highfather had to combine their powers and merge together to become a being called "the one" to actually penetrate the ALREADY HEAVILY DAMAGED source wall (jack kirby's 4th world #8)

yet, 3 of them managed to outright split it???

another important note:

Who's who bio #17 (1986) confirms that Zeus (or any greek god for that matter) are not universal deities at all:

that's not to mention that when zeus and jove are split they are much weaker, wonder woman v2 #132:

the only evidence i see one of those skyfathers even remotely approaching abstract level, is when Zeus was compared to destiny of the endless in a who's who bio #6:

note that bios also say that any claims like that should be taken with a grain of salt so....

it tells us that destiny is the one being who resisted zeus' unlimited power.....which is very weird considering he is nowhere near that on average.

odin's best feat: creating 1 world, sandman v2 #26:

Jove's best feat: nothing.

utterly insignificant when compared to the multiversal power of the source.

now i don't have any evidence that says they were amped , but there's simply no other way, imo.

phantom stranger was going to destroy all of creation in his battle with the spectre, recently. He's also traveled to the beginning of time with that kid in book of magic, pandora merged the 3 timelines together (though her feat is questionable as well), so unless we only look at this 1 single inconsistent feat that was achieved by the skyfathers in a most likely, non-canon comic, they're not winning this at all.

Good analysis. Jim Starlin wrote that story and he didn't follow continuity at all. Look at Synnar for one.

That bio did not compare Zeus to Destiny of the Endless, it showed Destiny is > Zeus and not them being equals at all... Also The Source split itself in half, not that the skyfathers would be a threat to The Source at all.

sure, i never said that zeus is superior/equal to destiny, my point was that the bio puts zeus in the same league as the endless, since destiny is the "one being" who managed to resist zeus' unlimited power.

i could also point out other flaws.....example being - the quintessence (zeus being a part of it) were helpless against the spectre in day of judgment (and iirc in morrison's jla as well), yet the spectre himself is far far below the source itself as shown in his own series. There are other flaws, but i figure you get the point.

going by consistent portrayal (not that odin and jove have that many appearances) the power gap between the skyfathers and the source is far too big to accept this feat, it's a good thing that this story was ignored.

i think you should read the scan again, to quote it:

-----

the unexpected force of their assault caused a division within my being, an involuntary defense response. My yin was quite literally ripped from my yang.

-----

there is no mention that they had help/amp, but like i said before, i have my doubts
