Any of the DBZ guys would stomp it if they're their DBZ incarnations. They're also too fast for it even in Dragon Ball honestly. Just there they might not have the power to quickly kill it. Except Tien I guess.

You really think so... damn that sucks I just watched it on youtube today tried to make a fair fight guess we cant with DBZ cuz they to dope

The moon is a total outlier.... still, even aside from that. Roshi's easily a mountain buster.

They've certainly got the firepower to overwhelm Shukaku casually.

How is the moon an outlier? Roshi blew up the moon, he is a moon buster, what's so hard to get about that? That makes no sense whatsoever. If Akira Toriyama didn't want Roshi to be a moon buster, he wouldn't have made him destroy the moon, simple as that.

An outlier is when one feat is drastically out of line with all other feats in the area.

Roshi got tiered blowing up a mountain. King Piccolo, who was massively more powerful than Roshi, was tired after two city busters.

Further, King Piccolo's city busting attacks was viewed as really impressive.





Which has nothing to do with the feat being massively inconsistent with literally every other feat of destruction in Dragonball.

Keep in mind that DB was part comedy and part myth, especially back in the pre-Z stuff. In myths, people do things to the moon all the time.



An author can decide they want a character to do something, but not themselves realize it's massively out of sync with all other things the characters do before and, very significantly, after. If there's a new big feat, and then characters continue to do big feats, then it means the power really was intended to go up. If one feat is out of line and then it drops down, it shows the author really is writing them at the lower level, they just either didn't realize how big that feat is, or don't care about a little inconsistency, or so on.

There's a lot of times when this applies in many series.

So we all agree that Toriyama intended Roshi to bust the moon. Good.

King Piccolo said he was only going to destroy one section a year as a holiday for sport. He wasn't tired, he only had a small vein on his head when he was charging his ki, Roshi was covered in veins and was basically a giant, throbbing muscle. Piccolo didn't even shoot a blast, he simply waved his hand, just like how Nappa blew up a continent by lifting his fingers without breaking a sweat at all.

I obviously know what an outlier is, and if King Piccolo said he was using his full power, it would have been one, but King Piccolo wasn't even noticeably affected in the slightest. He wasn't winded, tired, or even drained at all. Why would he destroy the whole world? He would much rather kill everyone individually and scare everyone.

Master Roshi at DB is already a moon buster.
