Falling Skies really delivered this season with new script and plots that were unpredictable and backed up with big budget effects. The Walking Dead slowed down some, but picked up the pace with new characters towards the end of the season. Revolution focused more on conspiracy in the groups. All 3 Apocalyptic shows were well played though.

With Fall swooning in, these shows, as well as upcoming cult hit series like Bates Motel and American Horror Story will be holding back no punches in the shock and awe department. There is also rumors that as Burn Notice ends - Evil Dead's Bruce Campbell might take residence in TWD - but this type of hype was done before, when rumors spread that Dawn of the Dead's make-up master, Tom Savini would play "The Governor" - so, we'll have to see how that works out. Leastwise, it is said Campbell would most likely play a sadistic figure from the comic books called "Negus" to whom, he's rumored to look like so well.

And until they bring back Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee back from the Dead, TWD, seems set on focusing on character-driven suspense and psychological horror, rather than fast-paced action. Still, it's this that gives it that gritty realistic touch.

This slow-thrill ride will be in stark contrast to the fast, "Runner" infested world of the upcoming comedic series "zombieland" as a TV series based on the film of the same name.

Opposite of this is Revolutions, who's last season upped the action quite a bit. Now, with the old "Powerless" theme getting old, a new type of threat is rumored to wreak havoc in post-apocalyptic America. ...Perhaps a new and deadly power source!?

Falling Skies, being backed up by big guns in the industries, has hired ever clever writers that will bring a growing feel of desperation and paranoia, as the survivors on earth, try to reclaim their planet, even from supposed alien allies.

FistOfThe North
I like 'em all. Televised escapism in the best. And it doesn't require drugs to be thrilled..
