To what I understand, a Niman practitioner is someone who incorporates all styles into one. Additionally they also heavily use the powers of the force in combat, such as lightening, draining, illusions, empowering ones self with speed and strength.

Would that mean that Niman is one of the most potentially powerful forms?

Does this also mean Sidious was a practitioner of Niman, seeing as how he heavily weaves force powers and attacks into his combat style?

Q99
Not really. I mean, most of them are very potentially powerful, Niman is just balanced. Not many of the strongest duelists end up using it, though, in favor of ones that play to their strengths.

I just figured Niman users would be heavily use force powers in their combat style, IE Exar Kun.

That was very informative, thank you. It answered all the questions I had regarding Niman, in addition to other questions I had not even pondered prior.

I am now convinced that Darth Sidious saber style was Niman, after seeing the Sidious Versus Maul fight.

Sidious uses two sabers, blends components of the other styles, and he heavily uses force powers in mid fight. All of which are traits of the niman style, dual sabers, heavily weaving force powers into your combat, etc.

Form V works well for those who are masters of the Force but intend to keep all options on the table. It permits such Force-users to put their Force Mastery to effective use during combat situations, making them virtually unstoppable.

Yoda may have stopped Dooku on Geonosis with Form V based combat approach. Unfortunately, Yoda did not make wise decisions during this encounter.

I also think that Sidious utilized Form V based combat approach to defeat the brothers.

^ I think you mean Form VI

Yes

From what I understand its a diplomats' form, uses the Force heavily ,combines all forms into one, except Form II, introduces two- saber... but balances out the forms that were chosen....

I'm not convinced Sids used Niman,I'm thinking Juyo,he was on offense the whole time to me.
Juyo uses the Force heavily, also .

He was fighting ferociously to me, the way he took out Savage and then Maul.
or he could have mixed Niman and Juyo up to confuse the brothers.
Sids was a Master of Juyo and he knew enough of Niman to teach Darth Maul.

Exar Kun really brought some exposure to Niman,he set the bar really high....
His only equal was Ulic Queldroma a Djem So specialist.

After watching Lawless 3xs,I'm conviced and absolutely positive that it wasn't Niman,....
Not even close....

It was either Ataru or Juyo....or both...
Why ?
Sids was moving too fast for Niman....
he was fighting too ferocious....
The acrobatics....I saw him mostly on offense than defense....
The Saber locks...combative Force Powers....meaning TK...push...and choke!!!!

None of the above is Niman....
Ataru has a two saber variant....and so does Juyo....
What I saw in imo is Ataru mixed with Juyo or all Juyo...

I mean the dodging...he parried a few times then did a surprisingly fast unpredictable,
reverse Force dash and twin strike!!! dude that ain't Niman that's Ataru mixed w/Juyo all day....
I'm still hyped from just watching that duel and Maul vs Pre Vizla....

Ain't no dening that Maul used Juyo against Pre Vizla...
Pre put up a good fight...but he still was no match for Maul and his variant of Juyo...

It'd make more sense for Sids to be a Juyo practitioner given that Maul also mastered the form and Juyo incorporates both multiple forms in its development and a chaotic, hard to predict move set that better fits him. Also, Niman is the Diplomat's style and as such is the reason why there's a lot of fodder dead at Genosis.

juyomaster34
agreed.....the fodder that littered Genosis were Niman practitioners and masters....
droids....maybe a few arena beasts....and one dead...beheaded Jango Fett...

imho...Niman was just a diplomat's form....to fight criminals....
Niman was absolutely not good on the battle field.
it was truly a pacifist form...with Soresu as its pure root.....

but I wouldn't just dismiss Niman just yet....
if Palpatine and Exar Kun found value in it....then that's saying alot...
it would probably be called Sith Niman, since they have a Sith Shien already...
