Thor doesn't get Odinforce. He's just regular Thor versus regular Orion. Who wins? I'm leaning towards Orion because Mother Box is pretty OP, but it's close for sure.

Split or Thor for the slim majority. Orion's good, but Thor's better imo. I would have loved to see a crossover between those two back in the day under Simonson. I wonder how he would have handled Thor and Asgard being the Old Gods that predated the New. And the battles would have been amazing.

While crazy impressive, I'd like to point out that the the device reversed and exploited the fabric of the Universe. Don't want to take anything away from the scene, just adding some context. Universal implosion makes it sound like Monarch's containment suit breach or something. Also, for some reason the bomb didn't do what Metron said and instantly collapse into a black hole, instead it started raiding out a sphere.

The God Bomb feat for Thor is much more impressive imo:

I agree. Orion and Thor are most certainly in the same weight class. Could go either way, but I think Mjolnir tips this in Thor's favor slightly.

I have no problem either way. I've heard from some hardcore Thor fans that actually give the Simonson Orion the edge, mainly due to sheer intelligence/cunning and fighting ability.

Simonson Orion was awesome. And his Darkseid was good. Almost Kirby good.

I think Orion would take Supes ( pre nu), break his dial off, and shove it up his... cape.

That's why he did better against Doomsday, Brainiac, White Martians, Maxima and superboy. Oh wait.............

Based off fts Thor is stronger, faster, more durable, and more powerful. He pulls the majority.

Thor at present, over the last 2 - 3 years is probably more powerful than I have EVER seen him. He wins and relatively quickly.

People are forgetting that Thor can drop the hammer if rocked. Without the hammer he would be damaged significantly. If Thor gets the hammer back then he will be at an disadvantage since he has been significantly damaged.

And yet he's still a high end brick that has very powerful ranged capabilities(lightning/weather control) without Mjolnir...

Not to mention he can call his hammer back at ftl speeds and at will...

He can drop it but it can be summoned back to his hand just as easily. And getting hit by it on the way back tends to be gruesome, just ask the Builder in Infinity.

Are you forgetting that even without the hammer Thor has elite top tier strength and ranged attacks, he can also summon the hammer?

Not really. Like Cealy said, Orion is just as versatile, has some insane energy absorption feats, has just as good fighting ability, and is likely smarter than Thor. His feat against Arnicus Wolfram shows he's cunning as hell. Plus, the creation of the Genesis Box that unmade the universe of Darkseid's taint. He also has good showings against Superman as well.
