If Despero is unable to warp adamantiun he loses to the point that it becomes a no contest.

Despero during Virtue and Vice was a beast but he used a lot of telepathy in that infamous fight.

Telepathy is useless against Ultron. With an Adamantium casing, the machine is far more durable, more versatile and possesses similar levels of power.
