Did Thor lose his Power in Avengers?

After he fell from the shield fortress and was ejected from the ship by Loki, after he hit the ground and lost the hammer. He got up and recovered. Walked to the hammer without calling it..reached out to yeild it..and it did not come..he paused..then had to focus and think..before he could reclaim it and get his power Back

Was he unworthy at that time and had to surrender any selfishness or arrogance as he once had when Odin released him of his power in the first movie?
