I just went back and looked at that Tyrant and Thanos fight and it seems that Tyrant put Thanos down with a EMP like attack pretty much like what Odin did.

First scan: Tyrant unleashes cosmic energy. It can be seen radiating around the upper part of his body.
Second scan: The energy emits with greater intensity during a taunt,("prove it" from Thanos in response to Tyrant bragging about his power. This energy is shown crumbling the foundation they stand on.
Third scan: The energy detonates and Tyrant commends Thanos on surviving as if he has survived something by his hands.

Thanos and his pals get owned 10/10...
