And thankfully the role of Sith Lord as interruptor of duels has gone away ^^

Nowadays even if a Sith Lord decides to spare someone- fairly rare- it's only after a clear victory.

Yes, but today they sometimes make them too evil, instead of pragmatic, which a manipulative Sith lord should be. Maybe it's the smartest Sith lords that actually refrain from giving into senseless murdering.

The ones who are too evil tend to self-destruct, which makes sense, not everyone with such a philosophy will turn out reasonable. There's a mix.

And normally in other stuff, sith who work together have their personal hierarchy of power decided more definitively.
