-Well, we saw what John was able to do with 12 hours of prep when he depowered and imprisoned(albeit briefly) every member of the Trinity of Sin. We know he is powerful enough to imprison Spectre as well.
-We know his prepped protection spells are potent enough to scare-off Papa Midnite, as well as briefly imprison Zauriel and shield John from his attacks.
-We know he is powerful enough without prep to own Blight and one of the Seven Deadly Sins... We know he was also in the process of conjuring a spell that could've killed Blight outright had he not escaped ST and NN's hold.
-We know he can prepare very powerful illusionary spells.
-We know he is capable of interdimensional teleportation.
-We know he has access to powerful items, like the Moonblade, which can kill "pretty much anything."
-Etc. Etc.
...What we don't know is the extent of Darkseid's resources/powers. We do know he is capable of world-busting, and has killed many-a-Supermen across the omniverse under his own power.
Tbh, Darkseid should be in a completely different tier(magic be damned), but in a comic I could definitely see a prepped Constantine fending him off... Especially given that the JLA did so without any formal prep. /shrug
Darkseid should be in a different teir altogether but since we have practically zero prep feats from him, all that we can say at the moment is that Constantine wins. This battle will probably be very good in about a year or two.
