Aryn Leneer was a jedi knight who left the jedi order following the sack of Corruscant and the destruction of the jedi temple. She enlisted the help of her friend Zeerid Korr to sneak past the sith blockade around Corruscant in order to get revenge on her masters murderer.

Force Speed

Aryn Leneer was extremely fast. She used force speed to get past guards.

Moving with Force-augmented speed, Aryn easily avoided the Alderaanian guards posted on the grounds of the compound. A canine with one of the guard teams must have caught her smell. It growled as she passed, but before the guards could turn on there infrared scanners, Aryn was already a hundred meters away. - Page 78 'Deceived'

During her first duel with Darth Malgus, Zeerid who is an ex-commando, had trouble following there movements because they were moving to fast.

She and Darth Malgus bounded across the ruins of the Temple, their blades flashing, locking, the speed of their duel so fast Zeerid could barely follow their movement. - Page 243 ' Deceived'

Aryn once slowed her perception of time down so slow that milliseconds seemed to last minutes. She appeared to be in multiple places at once. She used this to jump into hyperspace at the exact moment another ship did.

She focused on her perception of the passage of time, first on how it felt as she moved through it, then spreading it, stretching it, until she could linger in a millisecond as if it were a moment, then a minute. To Zeerid it would appear that she were a blur of motion, existing simultaneously in multiply places. To her, it felt as if the universe around her had stilled. - Page 171 'Deceived'

Force-Abilities

Aryn Leneer wielded powerful telekinesis, she used a force push to not only send two sith flying but shattered two large statues in the process.

The male Sith reached for his lightsaber. Before he could activate it, Aryn unleashed a blast of power that lifted both Sith from there feet and blew them into the wall. Two Alderaanian statues, caught in the effect of her power, slammed into the wall to either side of the Sith and shattered into chunks. - Page 445 'Deceived'

She also deflected a force push from a sith that was strong enough to crumble yet even more statues.

He answered her advance with a blast of power, but she made a V with her hands, forming a wedge with her will, and deflected the blast to either side of her. More statues toppled, shattered. The female Sith, caught in the deflected blast, was thrown backward ten paces. - Page 46 ' Deceived'

She is shown easily throwing heavy objects around.

Aryn gestured at a cargo tram near the three men shooting at them from behind. The six cars of the tram rushed towards them, propelled by Aryn's power - Page 151-152 'Deceived'

She flipped up and over him onto another piece of rubble, fifteen meters away. Taking telekinetic hold of a large stone near Malgus, she flung it at him. - Page 241 'Deceived'

She made constant use of saber throws.

Using the Force to guide it, she hurled Master Zallow's lightsaber at Malgus. The blade cut a glittering green arc through the air as it spun end over end towards Malgus's head. - Page 244 'Deceived'

As she ran, she cast first her own lightsaber at Malgus, then Master Zallow's, using the Force to guide both. - Page 274 Deceived

He ducked under Master Zallow's blade, and Aryn recalled both to her hands as she ran. The moment she had them, she cast them both at Malgus again. - Page 274 Deceived

She fell from fifty kilometers and was able to not only slow down the decent of her and Zeerid after reaching terminal velocity, but stop their decent completely and hover in the air for a second.

She reached out with the Force, channeling power into a wide column beneath them. She conceptualized the power as somewhat similar to what she would use when augmenting a leap, except that instead of a sudden rush of power to drive her upward, she instead used the power in a gentler, passive fashion. She imagined it as a balloon, soft and yielding at first, but providing ever-increasing resistance as they fell farther into it. - Page 195-196 Deceived

She dug deep, pulled out what power she could, and expended it in a final shout, an expulsion of power that entirely arrested their decent for a moment. They hung in the air for a fraction of a second, suspended only by the invisible power of the Force and Aryn's ability to use it. - Page 196 Deceived

She was also able to overcome Darth Malgus's force grip with one of her own and steel a thrown lightsaber out of the air.

Aryn watched the weapon spin, felt it, and before it reached the speeder, she reached out with the Force and snatched it from Malgus's mental grasp. - Page 245 Deceived

She was able to absorb Malgus's lightning once but failed to a second time and was consumed by it.

His power met her will. The lightning twisted around the glowing blades. The force of it stopping her downward descent and held her aloft in the air for a moment, suspended on a column built of the dark side.
And then she overcame it. The lightning dissipated to nothingness and she, unharmed by it, fell straight down, landing on her feet atop a shifting pile of rubble and deactivating Master Zallow's lightsaber. - Page 242 Deceived

Lightsaber skills

Her lightsaber style is most likely Ataru or Niman, possibly both. She uses speed and acrobatics in her fighting form as well as force abilities. She is also equally as skilled with a single blade and duel blade.

She could deflect blaster fire from multiple gunman with ease.

But before he could stand Aryn was over him, her blade a blur of motion that formed a cocoon of green light around them, deflecting blaster shots in all directions. - Page 151 Deceived

She also landed two lightsaber blows on Darth Malgus.

He must have sensed his danger at the last moment for he slid partially aside. Still, the green line of Master Zallow's blade pierced his armor and side and elicited a snarl of pain and rage. - Page 244 Deceived

The attack caught Malgus unprepared, and Aryn's blade bit into his armor. Sparks flew and Malgus winced, snarled in pain. Page 274 Deceived

Conclusion

Aryn Leneer is a powerful jedi knight who was one of the few who could match Darth Malgus in a fight. Her force powers were prestigious and her lightsaber skills were masterful. A true force to be reckoned with. What are your guys thoughts on Aryn Leneer?

Nephthys
Leneer is a certified badass for sure. I'd put her above Satele in fact, she certainly performed better against Malgus than Shan did.

Was it a 'lol thats so true' or a 'lol thats so retarded' lol?

The second one.

Lol's are never used about true stuff.

Nephthys
Ok, but why is it retarded? Malgus beat Shan in a lightsaber fight rather swiftly and almost killed her. A more experienced Malgus got hit twice in lightsaber combat by Leneer. Leneer also has better speed feats than Shan and has some good Force feats of blocking Malgus' Force powers and overpowering his teleinetic hold on his lightsaber, chumping a Sith Lord by simply ripping his lightsaber out of his hands with TK and pushing a cargo tram said to have 6 cars. That last one in particular is ****ing impressive. Leneer is one of the best Jedi of her era easily.

I have lol'd at quite a post in my time to indicate amused agreement.

Ven gave Malgus a harder time than Satele did. Do you put him above her?

Simply put, Satele's showings in Fatal Alliance indicate that she was pretty far away from her prime when she fought Malgus.

Nephthys
No he didn't. Satele managed to smack Malgus once, stopped his lightsaber with her bare hands and held him off with just her left hand. She did pretty well. Also he was in the Jedi Temple at the time.

And so was Malgus. The Malgus Aryn fought had more 4 years on the one Satele did.

Why do you think Shan in Fatal Alliance is better than Aryn?

Based
How about the fact that the Jedi don't place noobs as their Grand Master and that BioWare has written endlessly about her being a champion of the order?

Nephthys
Its not as if I'm saying Shan is a weak feeb.

Yes, he did. Zallow was never overpowered as fast as she was.

Nothing makes me believe Malgus improved very much, if at all. Satele's showings are pretty beastly later on, though.

Her showings are vastly better? Aryn isn't all that great.

Yeah but she's not weaker than an apprentice that got little respect from her peers throughout the entire book.

how did she get little respect from her peers? no one ever talked badly about her

Darth Abonis
I was impressed by her abilities. Her speed and landing feats are some of the best in the mythos.
