I'm going with team one on this one. I think Vader could take Malgus, and Kun could at the very least hold Tyranus off.

A better pairing would be Vader-Dooku and Malgus-Kun. The former have a rivalry already and are more easily matched against each other.

The OP cleverly pit teams with an EU character each against each other to lessen the butthurt fanboy wars.

Smart move.

I think team 1 is on the whole stronger. Neither Malgus nor Dooku can beat Kun's amulet blasts, at least not easily, and Vader can beat Dooku and give Malgus a good fight, though I think he's outmatched.

For me it's the other way around. Team 2 seems more well rounded.
