Cap is sent into New York to extract Will Smith's character and get him to a safe zone. If it takes Cap three days and two nights to find Smith and leave NYC, could he make it against the Darkseekers?

Cap must not seek shelter at night, but fight any darkseekers he encounters. He only has his shield.

Round 1. Cap is completely immune to virus.
Round 2. Cap can be infected if scratched or bitten.

Interesting. Cap clears the first time but not so sure about the second scenario.

I believe the alpha darkseeker may exceed even Cap's physical abilities.
