Johnny is sent to collect Shaw, but as expected, Shaw wants to fight. Fight takes place where Johnny defeated Blackheart in the first film. Can Shaw overcome the penamce stare?

No. There's nothing he can do if Johnny invokes the Stare.

Agreed, Shaw would have no protection against the Penance Stare, and with all the evil that hes done, it would hit him pretty damn hard.

Yep. He'd have his eyes burned out and just be a catatonic husk of a man.

Can Shaw defeat Johnny before he uses the Stare?

Shaw is phucked. Even if he bum rushed GR, what can he do?

Wasn't GR injured by getting slung into a fountain? Not only that hasn't GR's Stare only worked up close and while he is grabbing a hold of someone?

Any damage he took was superficial. Like he'd appear to be dazed or stunned, and then he'd heal if he was even hurt at all. And you can restrain Shaw without amping him if he starts at normal levels.

One way or another it'll become a physical confrontation. All it takes is for GR to lock that gaze.
