Wolverine has to escape to win? Does he start in fighting distance or is he already hiding?

On average Wolverine loses. Using his high end showing, he has defeated better. If this is the current DC Batman rogue, Wolverine has a chance (Bane stomped them).

Clayface should end him. What could Wolverine do, even his healing factor, if Clayface engulfed and smothered him?

Pretty much. The others are fodder though. Well if Wolverine was at berserk levels.

No Wolverine has to kill them before they kill him..

Wolverine's basically immortal. You'd have to remove his head to kill him.
