Black/gold IM sparred with Indestructible Hulk, withstood Starbrand's eye lasers, one-shotted Spiderman.

He did, but it was so horribly written, it's no wonder it didn't get a printed version...

hal would certainly take it. i think the level of ease would vary and if tony could learn from the first couple battles he may well be able to adapt with prep and take hal out. but he'd need prep and knowledge or he'd lose every time.

Don't wanna call spite, but Hal takes this for a large majority.

i agree. not spite, but it could be. tony has a lot of tricks though and could make some of the battle tough even without prep.

Tony's been able to hold his own against some heavy hitters. Problem is that a GL at potential could wipe Tony off the face of the planet.

Especially Kyle Rayner back in GL Volume 3, dude was ridiculous and easily the most powerful Lantern based on feats alone.

Yep. Lanterns have the cheese feats to backup their combat feats. Tony has impressive combat feats, but not enough cheese to contend with most heralds.

So lesson here is it ain't easy being cheesy!

Iron Man has beaten The HULK, SS, SENTRY, DOOM, Magneto etc... etc.

All of the a fore mentioned would also take down Hal for the high majority.

So my point still stands.

Would've been easier to respect Hal if Johns hadn't made him a complete moron.

Johns has a tendency to make a lot of characters he writes morons. He made Batman look like a total tard in Forever Evil when Lex was casually able to pick pocket him.
