Thanaton is a supremely powerful Sith Lord and have command of techniques with which he can one-shot most individuals.

Having experience against sorcery does not tells much because sorcery is an immensely vast field concerning dark side techniques/applications and it is unlikely that Nomi have experienced it all and/or have answer for every kind of Sith application.

Nomi Sunrider is one of the most powerful and famous Jedi of all time, and her force powers defeated Ulic Qel-Doma a very famous and strong sith lord.





But Thanaton mostly uses lightning and storms, which is not exactly the most exotic usage.

I know that Nomi Sunrider is one of the greatest Jedi in history but this doesn't guarantees her chances against a Sith Lord who is touted to be supremely powerful at official capacity. Meetra Surik is also one of the greatest Jedi in history and she lost to a Dark Council member.

Also, don't lie to me about Nomi's supposed victory over Ulic Qel-Droma. She didn't fight him, she severed his connection to the Force while the latter was overcome by grief after killing his brother.

Thanaton uses multiple techniques to destroy his opponents, some of them unknown by identification. As an example: when Thanaton fought Nox for the first time, the former one-shotted the latter with absolute ease with an unknown power/application. Nox was already a powerful Sith Lord by this time and even had augmented his power by drawing on the energy of a Force spirit he had binded to himself with dark sorcery.
