if were comparing how many overall comics we have well i have several thousand comic books (a lot i have never read) but acquiring them over the years not just marvel and dc either

Several here have gigantic collections. I stopped reading about 1.5 years ago, and purged a large portion of my collection. I'm down to probably ~1,000-1,500 physical comics in my collection.

I used to have over 7000 comics in my hdd, but I lost half of them recently.

Still I have over two hundred real comic books that I have purchased in usa, in mexico I used to have like 1,000 spanish translated comic books but I have to sell most of them, although I still have a few spanish translated issues like secret wars 1 and 2 and the first issue of a comic published by marvel in mexico.

That besides like 120 action figures and other comic related memorabilia.

I've been collecting consistently for about 17 years, and I've never pawned off any of my collection, so I can only guess how many single issues I have. But I'm far from one of those encyclopedia types you occasionally run across, I can't imagine what kind of collection those type of fellas have.

I have about a hundred or so paper versions. But a few thousand on hard drive.

i got about 6000 physical books. no idea how many digital. haven't bought a recent comic in a few years though. my collection spans late 70s, 80s, 90 and early 2000s in the physical books. they do take up a lot of f'n space though.....

I only have about 150-200 physical, individual issues. I have a fair few TPBs and a couple of hardcovers too.

Digitally, I have over 100gb of stuff.

As far as non-comic book, comic book merch, I have dozens of action figures, chess pieces, clothes, video games, movies, posters etc.

I have over 800 or 900 physical comics and an untold amount on my computer. Primarily gathering Ironman comics because I want to do an updated respect thread for the character.

yeah, torrents are awesome.

i've got a dozen(or so) physical comics/TPBs as well, but i stopped collecting those several years ago. like leo said: they take up WAY too much space.

Wow, no to many collect physical books anymore? I like having a physical copy in my hands, I can't do digital.

I used to have a couple thousand on my comp.

Now I only have like 50 hard copies and some tpb/graphic novels.

No idea how many I have. All I know is I have boxes of them in my house, my mothers house, and in storage. I lost all desire to sort through them and mess with them. I'm going to leave them all to my son and they can be his problem then.

spending the money on a 2TB hdd would be a complete waste if i didn't use all the space on it, amirite?

I started to read Marvel comics in 2009 with Marvel Digital Unlimited. I have never owned a physical Marvel comic book. I try to keep up with Marvel but MDU is about 4-6 months behind so I'm usually playing catch up.

I didn't start reading DC until the New 52 launched. I have every new 52 issue of Batman, Detective Comics, Batman and Co, Superman, Action Comics, Superman Unchained, Flash, Green Lantern New Guardians, Justice League, Earth 2.

Also have the 1st 2 Trade Backs of Aquaman.

I also have some trade backs pre 52 including the Black Ring arc, Reign of Doomsday, Return of Doomsday, Batman Arkham Unhinged 1, 2 and 3. Revolt of the Alpha Lanterns, Weaponer, War of the Green Lanterns and Aftermath, Emerald Warriors, Brightest Day and Flashpoint.

I also have the Flash Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol 1, working on getting Vol 2 and 3

However I started reading comics in general in the early 2000's with Sonic from Archie. I have Sonic issues 150-current, I have Sonic Universe issue 1-current, I have Mega Man from Archie issue 1-current.

I also have every issue of the Pokemon Black and White Manga.

No figurines though. I always get too tempted to open them up.

I spoke to ozz about this once and seemed pretty shocked, but yeah.

Zilch.

Looked at my Graphic novel related stuff and it has to be 70+

I have 46gb worth of comics in my computer.

The Exact number of physical books I have I have absolutely no idea.
Behind me in my office I have a five foot tall book shelf, with four shelves that has approximately 400 to 500 comics across each shelf plus two deep and about 10 high two deep three across laying on top of them. I have a further 8 boxes in my attic and 10 at my fathers place which I'd say each have around 200 to 300 comics in them. I stopped buying physical books in about 1999.

On my computer I have about 90GB of comics and on a second external drive another 400GB.

Bare in mind I'm 55 and have been buying comics since i was 14. From 1985 to 97 I would on average buy 50 comics a month ( courtesy of being hooked on titles I could buy in anthologies prior that I now hod to buy 5 comics to get them - of course this also meant I HAD to get my hands on the original us versions as well). My collection includes

All Star Comics ( missing 6 issues)
Adventure comics issues 60 to 79 and 146 - 503 ( missing IIRC about 9 issues in those numbers)
All American from issue 15 to 102 (missing 48/49/50)
Avengers 1-181 ( think I missed about 10)

Also a shite load of Australian reprint Anthology titles of DC and Marvel comics pre 1985. Before 85 80% of comics were reprinted by Australian publishers in anthology form because of protection laws. Which used to mean I could read the adventures of five different characters in a single 120 page comic for 90 cents. While i hated that most of it was black and White I miss how cheap it was to read comics back then. I know there is a lot more ( for one thing I haven't mentioned half my Marvel stuff or other companies like 2000Ad, Cyclone etc) but you get the idea- I don't have a life.
