Mine:
The Dark Tower (stop teasing me with it King)
Anything on Drizzt Do'urden
Starship Troopers (Yes, I liked the one they made... but it had nothing to do with the book)

Firefly218
The Last Days of Krypton would make a really cool movie adaption. I find Jor-El to be far more interesting of a character than his boy scout son Superman.

Any of the Halo books

Serenity: The Shepherd's Tale would be an awesome movie

BruceSkywalker
The Ninja is long overdue

thanos-prime
The Stormlight Archive series

RJ 2.0
Anything by Matt Reilly.

NotAllThatEvil
bartimaeus trilogy

juggerman
A real Jack Reacher movie. The one we got doesn't count

Mindship
"Rendevous with Rama," by Arthur C. Clarke.
"Ringworld," by Larry Niven.
"Ring" (my fave scifi novel), or "Flux," both by Stephen Baxter.
"Hyperion," by Dan Simmons.

I want Guillermo del Toro to adapt the CS Lewis story called "The Screwtape Letters"

lol Ice Station.

That would be cool.

Anyway, I'd like an adaptation of Tigana and The Stand (a duology not some shitty tv mini-series).

Brandon Sanderson is bad and you should feel bad. Admittedly the Stormlight Archives isn't actually terrible like Mistborn but it's horribly bloated nor have I read the second book.

I want Guillermo Del Toro to do "At the Mountains of Madness", and he was going to for a while. Here's hoping he hops back on that project.

He talked about it only a few days ago actually.

Yes.

Fact: Women like it up the butt more than men.

ps Ask your mom if you don't believe me.

Firefly218
Brave New World would make an awesome movie.

A real adaption of Sherlock Holmes would be nice on the big screen.

The Borderland Series would work better on cable

Chronicles of the Deryni could be adapted as the next Game of Thrones. Lots of political intrigue there, with some magic thumb up

Robtard
Even though I stopped reading around Book 9, Jordan's 'Wheel of Time' could be fun for a TV series.

I'd also like to see WH40K stories be brought to life.

ares834
I've always thought that Wheel of Time would make an excellent anime series.

Robtard
Would probably be better as an animated series.

You're right, this would be potentially wonderful...

http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2014/07/03/guillermo-del-toro-on-pacific-rim-2-at-the-mountains-of-madness-and-more/ I was hyped about that when I first heard about it, but PG-13 for HP Lovecraft? There are few HP stories that could be done in PG13 and turn out good, and that's only because they showed so little and left so much to imagination. ATMoM does not seem to be a PG-13 type of adaption.

Anyway, for this thread, any Lovcraftian story. Maybe even a show to adapt all the different short stories, kind of like how Sherlock has been doing.

The Call of Cthulhu actually had a movie made in the style of a silent movie from the 1920's in 2005 by the HP Lovecraft Historical Society. It's only about 40 minutes long but it's really faithful to the original work and worth the watch IMO.
