Anime versions. Both at their Prime. This is Tien in regular Dragonball vs Luffy during his latest episode. Who wins?

Oh man. Luffy rapes him. Like...just absoluty rapes him without any lube whatsoever. And he's made of rubber, so he's packin'...Tien's just gonna not live.

You are high.
Tien has light speed reaction and speed, as well as flight, overwhelming firepower and strength advantage, as well as a guaranteed insta-kill on Luffy with tri-beam.

No. You don't read. This is DragonBall Tien. Not DragonBall Z Tien.
In the latest episode of One Piece it's the Dressrosa Colesseum and Luffy has just beat Don Chinjao. A guy Garp trained to defeat by destroying mountains, like 7 or 8 before he got it right. That means Luffy is pretty beastly right now and far above everyone in the DragonBall verse.
He's too fast for Tien to keep up with. Has high enough reaction speed to block or dodge his limited attacks. Can Tien fly in DB? If he can he's not that fast. Luffy's definitely stronger. And Tien doesn't even know what a Tri-Beam is yet.
NemeBro
Tien is stronger than someone who destroyed the moon, lol.

I guess you simply have not read Dragon Ball.
As Nemebro said, Tien is more powerful than Roshi, who destroyed the moon with a single attack. He also is capable of moving at and reacting to light speed attacks, even while flying. This is proven by him reacting to and blocking punches from Goku, who exchanged with his light speed fist technique.
Mountain busting is nothing to someone who can overpower a moon buster.
Tien shits on all of one piece.
KingD19
Using a Kamehameha doesn't mean he's uber elite. He destroyed it with an energy attack, Tien beating him physically doesn't mean anything.
Luffy is able to move and react at lightspeed as well considering how easily he dodged a laser blast from a Pacifista, a Pacifista who was modeled after Admiral Barceleno/Kizaru who has the Pika Pika no Mi, which lets them attack and move at the speed of light.
http://i.imgur.com/QghcHQr.gif
And that's before he uses Gear Second, which makes him even faster by a large amount.
And lol at blowing up the moon being used as a benchmark for actual power. So that means since DB Tien beat DB Roshi, he can beat DBZ Piccolo since he destroyed the moon right?
StealthRanger
>Luffy
>lightspeed
:lmao
Should also note that Roshi said the Kamehameha paled in comparison to Tien's technique that vaped the tournament ring
Sacred 117
*sigh* mariofacepalm Somehow I knew this day would come.
Light speed claims were at least up for discussion for DBZ, but I should have guessed One Piece would do the same thing.
(Holy shit!)
AuraAngel
Well to be fair Kizaru does call his attacks light speed. Whether or not they're not is up to other dewds I guess.
StealthRanger
No, Kizaru can only move at lightspeed in his logia form. He can't attack people in it (or do physical damage anyways)
He can't lightspeed in his normal mode
And Luffy does not have lightspeed/FTL reactions
KingD19
His attacks(literal beams of light), move at light speed.
StealthRanger
He shoots beams of light, doesn't mean they're lightspeed
Unless you're willing to accept Sora is FTL because of deflecting Xenmas' 'lasers'
Or Dante is because of deflecting Mundus' "laser"
Damborgson
...so because someone names his move to be faster than light, it is undoubtedly true now lol?

Are you saying every light beam in all of fiction now moves at light speed?
You're silly.
I guess Star Fox is light speed now. And Sora. And Riku. And me. And everyone else in everything ever made.
Just go home.
KingD19
So I'm silly for thinking a guy who turns into actual light, and can teleport around at light speed, can't fire off beams of light at light speed. Even though he claims and shows this several times, as well as the creators intending for him to actually be moving at light speed.
But you're claiming Goku and Tien are lightspeed because he and Goku exchanged punches?
Alright. That makes perfect, completely logical sense.

Short answer: yes
But can't attack in this mode
You realise teleportation and speed aren't the same thing
"light speed teleportation" lol
Where does he have any lightspeed feats out of his logia mode
Feats>author's intent
If he moves that fast and another guy keeps up with him evenly, then yes, it does make sense
Sacred 117
Unfortunately, in this case, the authors have time to attempt entertaining these absurd notions. Why? Because it seems they're never gonna f**king go away. I might have taken it a little more seriously, otherwise.

We seem to take Roshi's comment about the Tri-beam>>>Kamehameha wave at face value despite the latter have the superior feats by quite a large margin.
I mean how often is Goku lowballed because of his lifting 40 tons? It happens. Fans pick and choose the specifics that suit their argument. The only fair way to judge the statements is by watching for consistency.
Which is why Kizaru's lightspeed attacks sound silly. It is so far above the rest of the setting up to that point lol.
NemeBro
Anyone who would use a single questionable lightspeed showing as definite proof Goku and friends are FTL but then deny the more numerous showings in OP are idiots, and should probably kill themselves for measuring their self-worths by how strong a children's cartoon series is.
StealthRanger
Who used the solar flare outrunning feat (I assume you're referring to that as the questionable feat) as anything except an outlier?
Because I didn't
NemeBro
The person I was talking to knows who he is.

Current anime is the Dressrossa Arc and Luffy is in the Colosseum fighting to get Ace's Mera-Mera no Mi that Don Quixote got a hold of after he died.
He just won the C Block qualifying round by beating Don Chinjao. A guy whose head used to be shaped like a drill and was so strong Garp trained to defeat him by obliterating mountains. He was slightly weakened due to Garp knocking his head into his body, but he was still damn strong.
Current Luffy is basically upgraded from everything we've seen since the time skip. So just crazy fast, strong, durable, etc, etc, etc... With feats far above Dragon Ball.

Luffy and Zoro were moving buildings around in Alabasta. And in that same Arc Luffy forced a human body through several hundred feet and tons of solid bedrock.

Tien at this point is superior in all terms, including destructive power, to Master Roshi, who blew up the phucking moon with one shot. Not to mention his tri-beam is also superior to the kamehameha.
Luffy almost got killed by poison.

Luffy almost got killed by poison.
Prove it. What feats does Tien have that put him above Luffy physically? Speed? Strength? Durability?
What proof is there that Tien is superior in destructive energy output? Does he blow up something bigger than the moon?
What proof is there that the Tri-Beam is superior to the Kamehameha? Because all proof points to the contrary.
And Luffy fought a guy whose poison would kill pretty much anyone aside from a Logia and became immune to poison because of it. Tien would have been in the same shape or probably worse.
Your bias is hilarious.

Uh, the feat he has above Luffy is the same one Roshi has. As well as his light speed fighting with Goku. And same moon+ level durability. And... Ya know, batting them away, making him have moon+ level strength.
Uh, the proof actually makes that statement you just pulled out of your ass moot, and almost funny.
https://www.mangaeden.com/en-manga/dragon-ball/132/14/
Yeah, usually saying something is dog piss compared to something else makes the original thing far superior. In this case, meaning Tien's tri-beam makes Roshi's moon busting kamehameha look like "dog piss" in comparison.
And? Luffy can be killed by a grenade, if caught off guard like Tao. That poison was nothing to someone like the Z-fighters, who can overcome poison just by outputting energy. Like when the Z-fighters trained with Korin and drank the sacred water, which, before Goku, had a 100% death rate.
My bias? I think that's funny, coming from someone who's obviously never even read any of Dragon Ball, yet thinks they can actually debate about it.

Because the heart disease was, according to Trunks, more powerful than a Super Saiyan. A disease more powerful than a Super Saiyan is a lot more impressive than anything in One Piece, especially a poison weaker than Luffy.
BloodRain
Lol no it's.. it's just a common heart disease.

As you can see, he clearly says that "Not EVEN a Super Saiyan can beat such an illness.", and Goku says, "What a bummer... Not even senzu beans work against it?", meaning that it is, again, more impressive than anything in One Piece, considering it can overcome a Super Saiyan's biology, something nothing in that series could(unless we're talking about intelligence, maybe). I mean hell, Goku has eaten poisonous puffer fish before, and had a slight stomach ache. He's drank a gallon of poison that has a 100% kill rate, and been fine after a day or two. Not to mention that according to Trunk's statement, a Super Saiyan should be able to overcome any other heart disease.
It doesn't matter what you believe, as you can see, your recollections are clearly incorrect.

Lol because all illnesses are curable even now?
No, its an illness. There is nothing to even assume that being strong stops them being ill. Better resistance? Can play that card if you like.
Bad stance. Senzu beans only cure current physical injuries. They have never been shown either healing pre-existing wounds or any kind of ailment or sickness.

Uh, Tao didn't get killed by a grenade. He got injured, as he was caught off guard somehow, and Roshi said no one could beat the red ribbon army, even Krillin said so when talking about it. This was disproven by Goku doing so with utmost casualness when not being much stronger than the two. Not to mention that if Tao was really grenade level durability, why do you think that he could re-direct a sniper bullet from miles away by throwing his shoe in the air as he was walking? Or, ya know, taking a kamehameha wave to the chest from Goku, who at that point was equal to Roshi. I mean, you might as well say that Superman is weaker than Batman, because he nearly died against him so many times. PIS and off-guard attacks don't count.
PFFFFFFFFFFTT, I can show dozens of scans with them tanking moon+ busting attacks. Not to mention that, uh, the first time Roshi used it, the Kamehameha wave blew up an entire mountain and castle. Even with considering the moon thing PIS, that's still mountain level durability for ROSHI, who Goku and Tien both SORELY surpassed at this point.
Exactly. Refer to my previous comments.
Yes. And he is also incomparably weaker to Tien. Not to mention Goku.

Uh, do we have time travel now? I was making a point that you're talking about VASTLY further into the future than we will likely get in 20 years, meaning that it took what is only describable as incredibly advanced space-age medical technology, just to cure a, as you called it, "common" heart disease. lol
Uh, the assumption I'm making can come from either the fact that Trunks is specifically elaborating that he can't just go SSJ and make this disappear, but also because the disease itself IS physical. Goku has been shown to have ridiculous resistance's to poison many times before, as I've pointed out many times already.
Well, I'm sure if Goku took one soon after getting sick, he'd be able to overcome most diseases, considering the senzu beans can literally regenerate body parts. I don't think it'd be that much of a stretch for them to regenerate, and empower cells enough to fight a virus. Also, if push came to shove, I don't see why he wouldn't just have Vegeta kill him or something(which he'd be tickled to death about himself), and wish him back without the disease. It seems simple, but I guess they have to include PIS sometimes when making such ludicrously strong characters.
BloodRain
...what? What's the difference between us going back a few decades with our medicine to aid in things that are common? What's the difference between someone coming from a 2024 with a cure to medical issues now?
Nothing. In all three situations X goes to Y with meds for Z issue that Y has not yet been able to create a remedy for. Diabetes, mental illnesses, cancer, and of course any other CHD.. these are all common. And anything created a decade or two away with greater information is obviously going to be more advanced. And no, its not vastly above what we/they'd get. Alt.Bluma made it an unspecified time after Alt.Goku died, so that could be anything between 1 and 16 years later to be naturally created. Seems like normal progression to me.
All Trunks did was make a reference to an 'even the mighty have fallen' deal. The same way how no matter how strong a person is, a disease is what it is, regardless.
A specific effect doesn't mean it covers all areas. As said it had astounding 'at the moment' physically healing capabilities. Instant hunger and fatigue recovered, healing cuts, bruises and broken bones..But we already see the limit. It fails to bring back Tien's arm, fails to heal his or Yamcha's scars, fails to heal a Saiyans tail. So with no mention about healing anything else, as we know it's specific with limits, the fact that it's proven that it can't heal a disease speaks for the beans own power to recover. Recovering cells to peak conditions wouldn't stop the illness for lying around in the body.
Cba to check, what was the deal with the Dragon balls at the time? It's obvious that couldn't do it in the future what with there being none.. Maybe Goku thought it would be a waste to only save himself with time costly wishes, figured he'd need them prepared for any upcoming casualties..
..or PIS :P

Exactly. There is no difference. Again though, there will not be time machines in 6 years. DBZ came out quite a while ago, those 20 years are already just about up, and that's going by anime, not manga.
Trunks said even a Super Saiyan couldn't overcome it. This is clearly in relation to them being able to overcome a lot of diseases, otherwise he would have just said, "It doesn't matter how strong you are.". At this point, all you're doing is making radical assumptions of what he meant without any proof. I have proof that Goku can overcome illness/poison, and you don't. Next move's up to you.
When did senzu's fail to recover Tien's arm? They didn't have any, and he somehow just got it back in other world. The tail thing is irrelevant, as it was just Toriyama forgetting, which he explained was also why they didn't get them back in other world. Yamcha's scars were already healed. Plus they were his only redeeming quality. The beans heal your body, and cells are part of your body. For example, they would heal you of things you could overcome naturally instantly, but do nothing for a disease like Aids, other than prolong it. Either way, they still could have used the dragon balls. It. Is. PIS.
Yes, PIS. Piccolo was still alive before Goku died, remember? He died three years before the androids attacked. Meaning they could have used the dragon balls as soon as they found out he was sick, or they could have killed him, and wished him back, like they did to all of Earth.
BloodRain
Show me evidence that being a super saiyan means they can resist illnesses better than normal, more so that it can fight a disease. You won't be able to, but do try. Find or concede.
Has it? They both have had the beans, or at the very least the chance to have them.. so why haven't they been healed? Because they can't heal it. That last point just confirms that it can't heal something that can't be healed naturally.. or whatever point that was meant to be. The fact is that the beans can't heal pre existing wounds nd they can't heal ailments. The manga says this much and nothing proves otherwise.

mountain level durability for ROSHI mountain level durability for ROSHI Keeping the mountain level durability for Roshi aside, even pre timeskip Franky tanked a mountain level attack (that destroyed Vegapunk's lab).

So? Dadan beat up Garp. Are you saying that Luffy is weaker than her? Because iirc, that would make Garp, arguably one of the strongest OP characters, weaker than beginning Zoro. Again, it's not my fault if you're not smart enough to know what PIS is, but catching someone off-gaurd is just as much of a low-ball as them not fighting back.
The grenade did no such thing. It was never said how badly he was hurt. Obviously not too bad to walk several miles to the nearest town.
The RRA missile destroyed a full mountain. You wanna talk about double-standards, yet you low-ball when talking about any series other than Bleach. Sounds about right.
Except then I can argue that anything in OP is PIS. Roshi blew up the moon because that was the only way to do so without killing Goku, or interrupting the match. AT wanted Roshi to blow up the moon, so he made him strong enough to. He wanted Tao to kill himself, so he made him get caught off guard because he was arrogant. You might as well say that Aizen was weaker than Kisuke because he caught him off guard.
The fact that he uses ki for his durability, and to attack. That's why Goku was able to take his own kamehameha to the face while traveling to Namek, or why he could grab it and tank it on King Kai's planet. The Z-fighters have always been able to take more than they can dish out, excluding certain special attacks like Kienzan.
Why do you keep repeating that? You specifically saw Roshi get hit with mountain level attacks from Goku, that overpowered his own mountain level attacks. Roshi is mountain level durability, and that's only because he hasn't been in enough fights to show off more.
Sooo, by that logic, Luffy should be what, around continent level? I'll wait for the scans. By that time, he would be able to beat DB Tien.

You are just a fan, not the author.
The grenade completely destroyed his body. He had to be re-created as a Cyborg.
And the fact that Tao thought the grenade could kill Goku also proves he was using it as a last resort after all his attacks were too weak.
> A very small mountain that doesn't even reach the clouds. Aka, a hill
http://a.mpcdn.net/manga/p/280/52620/11.jpg
One piece isn't Bleach. And being a fan of both DB and OP, I know very well that Luffy can easily one-shot this version of Tien with a single EG
So can I do for DB
AT also wanted the grenade to kill Tao, not a nuclear bomb or a moon buster. So he made Tao weak.
I'm only trying to use the same arguemnts as you. See how retarded that sounds?
Tao was confident that the grenade would hurt Goku as well
Raditz can't tank Piccolo's special beam cannon though he was stronger than Piccolo himself. Piccolo's own durability is weaker than Raditz.
So Piccolo can't tank his own SBC, and his durability doesn't scale to how much he can destroy with his SBC
Roshi needs to go buff and charge up a KHH to destroy a mountain. Goku didn't do that while fighting him, so his attacks aren't mountain level.
They are only building level.
Scans? Oh, here Franky tanks this mountain buster:

Current Luffy >>>> PTS Luffy >> PTS Franky.
Luffy isn't continent level, but more like large Island-small country level. Ofcourse he can beat DB Tien because DB doesn't reach country level until EoDB Goku and Piccolo
Ophanim
Tien destroys
He had light speed movements, Not to mention has light speed attacks even in the 22nd budokai since he has a attack called light speed punches.
Not to mention Tien is much stronger then luffy overall anyways.
